@@gabrielramos6869 no because this pcb is for optical switches, if you go for the regular gk then yes you can.
i thought that was a oneplus 6+ for a sec (case)

How do you feel about the optical sensor. Does it make the keys feel worse?
He says so in the video, he said that they are smoother than the standard cherry MX reds. Unless you are referring to ingame feel, then he doesn't.
How many pins does it have?
Tips : i filed in my GK61 with cotton fiber and extra weight. now its much more quiet and comfortable. feels and sound more expensive :)
What did you add to get extra weight ?
Curious if you think some sheets of felt might achieve the same effect? I can’t buy anything at the moment, but I do have an excess of craft felt lying around haha... Might pop some in the case when I get the chance.

Can the switches still be lubed, though?
Also, would I be able to fit sorbathane or some other type of material as a dampener between the case and pcb?
Edit: So, I’ve finally got this board. There is enough room to put neoprene, or sorbothane.
Lastly, what fittings are the stabs?
Saucy G this message is way late but yes you can, I lubed the red switches and all that noise has been dampened right out and sounds and feels amazing. Keyboard could benefit from a noise dampening pad under the pcb
Jeff V I did end up lubing my optical browns w trybosis 3203, filmed them, put neoprene between the pcb and case, and lubed the stabs. I tried switching the stabs out but my gmk plate mount and durock screw in stabs wouldn’t fit properly.
That’s awesome! This little keyboard gives the ducky one 2 I have a run for it’s money. I’m looking forward to testing if I change the gk61 steel plate to a gh60 brass plate, would this fit into a gh60 aluminum case.... all parts ordered so we will see
I have the exact keyboard, thank you so damn much for telling me it's an optical pcb. I almost bought a dz60 rgb one, since the people I refered to told me the pcb was a "fake". I agree, the software is weird. I usually set it on Driver Mode-Lightings and let it be. To people planning to buy this, make sure to get a different set of stabilizers, keycaps, and a keypuller. Really good board for the price.
Geez they sound so smooth. Maybe I will pick one up just to use the PCB in a high-end chassy.
I might be too late, but I don't believe that the pcb has the standard mounting points for a 60%

Could you do a video on switch modding? For instance, I have Kailh Box Brown switches in my Anne Pro 2 and I am very pleased with them, but I'd still like to know what I could change x)

guys my keyboard lights are messed up, i was trying to mess around with it and i hit fn and backspace now the lights are very messes up and when i tried to return it to its nomral colors it wouldnt work if anyone knows how to fix it it would be very helpful

I recommend the royal Kludge rk61 rgb in white, the rgb is brighter than any other keyboard, I have it and its great for 40 pounds which is about 50 dollars I think
So this keeb uses iGK61P PCB and there is a lot of case compatible with this PCB. Search it up on epathbuy.
Man I must be getting old because I'm starting to think lighting effects are really silly. Don't get me wrong, I like some good static backlighting but do people really have their keyboards flashing all over the place while using them?

the microphone under the spacebar is for the reactive rgb which moves according to ur voice
I just pulled the microphone out. I recommend the same. Pliers do it well, no need to take the plate off etc. . . Just the spacebar

Have you ever thought making two short videos for each keyboard: one with the mic very close and another with the mic more far away?
From my amateur videos, when the camera/mic is too close, the board sound appears louder than it really is. As an example: I'm on a NIU mini with silent gat brown that even my wife does not bother. But on videos, looks like a hammer.

They labeled it as fastest keyboard but the fucking polling rate is 125hz and super noticeable input delay you cant even change the polling rate on the shitty software

Hey guys I'm having a problem with my GK61 keyboard. My 3, E, D, C, and Space Bar keys are not working and every time I disconnect and reconnect it, it automatically out "cde3 " over and over again until I hit a different key and then those keys stop working. I tried factory resetting, cleaning the switches, etc. and nothing is working.
Do you guys have any idea on what I can do?

Hey, I have a question, I hope you can answer it. Is it possible to fn lock on the gk cause I am a person who uses arrow keys a lot and all at the same time so holding fn and using it is not something I can accept. So if you can, please tell me a way I can use the arrow keys without holding fn (such as fn lock and etc.)
I got gk61 to, prees fn and the arrow keys, if its not working, download the software and go to delete everything and re-download, try using a key boars test online
But what if I want to use arrow keys without holding down fn

why? optical switches are faster, better & more durable, you can hot swap them later too!
San you can hotswap plate mount and PCBs mount also. There is more choice right now in non optical switches, so that would be the main reason to not want the optical switch board. Until I can find a zilent in an optical version, I will stick with regular switches.
I wish they would make these so they could handle any kind of switch. Externalizing part of the device seems like a step backwards; they could have easily put the laser in the switch housing and made the board able to accept any optical or mechanical switch using standard hotswapping methods. There is no speed or electrical advantage to having the laser in board and not the switch.

Hi I was wondering if you knew something about the switch. I was thinking of using stems from the Aliaz switch made by Gateron inside of the linear optical switches, but I have never heard of anyone doing something with that. I was wondering if you feel like the aliaz stems are long enough for the optical part of the switch, or if it was a lost cause.

the switches are great coz there's nothing there to fail aside from the laser. no more messing around with switches that fail from dirt and stuff. and yes like the previous commenter i'll just switch over to a better chassis.

Make sure you’re looking for Gateron *OPTICAL* switches as those are the only switches that will work for the gk61.
