I hauled in a load today..6200 lbs. Public price is down to $100/ton and they knocked me down $5 to $135/ton. Was at $140 for all summer until September pricing hit. Still better than a kick in the junk...lol. Keep up the hard work Mike! Glad to hear you came out good on your wreck .

Im hoping the prices dont drop. $155/ton for shred in Detroit area. All the non-ferrous seems to have dropped for some reason. #2 insulated went down, aluminum, copper and brass. All by like %10-15
@John-ye9sp Dump trailers are only good if you have something to load them. The sides are extremely high and the first time you get something.That's three or four hundred pounds.You ain't loading it in it.I had one and I absolutely hated it.. The only good part was was after I busted my ass Loading it.I could push the button and dump it out

In New Jersey the jealous cops steal your scrap vehicles ,
205 a gross ton for number 2 steel. 245 for unprepared number 1

Yes but I'm not allowed fridges and certain things like bicycle tires and the number 2 yard buys only number 2 unprepared goes to a diff yard
