@patrickwilliams4613 yeah, people say that they want to see more scrapping videos..lol i guess they I want to see every little detail so I guess I'll start making one hour videos
@TrashManJake yes, this was a fairly newer one I have seen the ones before with the solid brass manifold.. But like everything they're making them cheaper and cheaper
@tommymadden9746 yeah, it's actually nice to not have to deal with bugs and swamp ass lol.. i don't mind the cooler temperatures. It's just, I'm not used to it. We went from 80s to 30s. In 2 weeks.
@Adventureswithmike1 you need to try the lenox gray blades expensive but well worth the money that is the only ones I will buy i get so much cutting with them
@jerryweidel9944 i've tried them. They are a pretty good blade.. the ones i'm currently using our decent and very cheap. I'm getting them for something like 1.20 a blade. Not bad
Mike, get the 8kw vevor diesel heater for $100 and $20 ac/dc power converter its great in my garage fkin unit absolutely cooks and barely uses $2-3 of diesel if you're on full blast for a whole day unlike a whole tank of propane for $20. Winter is always fun for us scrappers lets get comfy with it.
A few weeks ago I found one on the side of the road. Didn't take long to process it and it was nearly $100 Canadian. I've been handing my business card out to pool companies since then and they all think I'm crazy - there's no way they're giving out free pool heaters.
@anthonyfletcher4898 it's starting to slow down now. Which is better? Because then I can focus more on other things. And when I took the tv down off the wall to insulate, I dropped it and broke it.. so i'm just going to purchase another cheap one.. And i'm still waiting for my truck.Liftgate is ordered sitting here waiting To be installed it'
New Hampshire don’t even pay that kind of scrap prices to scrap yards here in New Hampshire are screwing everybody and that’s what they do best Specially the one in Greenville New Hampshire
When your warm you work better and happier .nice tear down pool heater

That was definitely worth breaking down .
It’s worth it for me to talk every thing apart. But again I don’t do the same volume you do! Anything big like that I would for the motor and wires.
I have never gotten one of those but they look well worth the time
@@ScorpionMetals hell yeah ..there amazing
The Hayward's with the stainless ends are the best. The Teledyne ones are second.
That looks like a newer one. Some of the old ones have a brass water manifold instead of plastic on the ends and heavier copper pipes.

So you are the baked potato?!?! LoL Another great video, I often wondered about those units, if it was worth it.
@criscegielski7296 yeah they're definitely worth it.. Now, how do I get more of them🤔🤔🤔
Good score. No more sweating for a while.

Yea not bad on price
Took some number two copper last week I got $4 in nebraska
I have only ever found copper in pool heaters. The round ones I had had about 22 pounds of copper

Would you happen to have a video showing what tools you carry in your truck for scrapping?
@MasonHH i don't really carry many tools in my truck. Just a reciprocating saw and some ratchet straps.. and just some basic hand tools screwdrivers.

I take it things are slow right now? 🙏🙏
I would cut the wire out, it adds up.
@@EFCasual i usually do, but sometimes I just let it go
Hey mike how are you doing today and do you still have your tv in the shed

Not much value in western mass either, I've heard the prices are better at the port of Albany yard but it's too far to be worth it.
