- This tutorial will guide you through the setup process for the Audio-Technica AT-LP60XUSB Fully Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable (Analog & USB).
The AT-LP60XUSB, a redesign of the AT-LP60-USB turntable, features an improved tonearm base and headshell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. The AT-LP60XUSB allows users to listen to their 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records and is equipped with a USB output to easily connect to a computer. The turntable is also equipped with a detachable RCA output cable (3.5 mm male to dual RCA male) and a built-in switchable phono preamp to easily connect to a stereo or speakers.

Thank you! Instructions that come with the turntable need looking at ...
I bought one of these recently but it would not power on. The suppled instructions were far too small to read & the supplier could not suggest anything. They have now replaced it but I’m glad I found this before attempting again.
I don’t know how important the instruction to rotate the turntable several times to prepare the auto is but I definitely wouldn’t have known to do it otherwise.
I also wasn’t sure whether to set the switch to ‘phono’ or ‘line’ but this video gave me what I needed
As an engineer I would have had no idea either why you would have to rotate the platter 10X other than "zero" the autoload mechanism. Should be automatic regardless of position or at least has been that way since I began working on them in the 60's.

Good information, guess i'll get that to my uncle here in Brazil. He has a mad lot of speakers so they may fit his taste.
Very helpful!
Great video, thank you! :-)
I have this one, i got it plugged in my imac with usb, i got the input and output right, my imac can hear the music but it just wont come out of the imac speakers. Can you help me?
When I pulled off the plastic piece from the stylus, the brighter colored portion that holds the needle came off too. When I put it back on it only stays for a second and then falls back off. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need to get the whole thing replaced?
Hi there! First, please ensure the stylus is properly seated back in the cartridge. You can follow the steps here: www.audio-technica.com/en-us/support/audio-solutions-question-of-the-week-how-do-i-change-the-atn3600l-stylus-on-the-at-lp60x-line-of-turntables/. If this does not address the issue, please contact our parts department at Parts@atus.com for a replacement. Thanks! - A-T USA
A family member just bought one, and along side the no sound issue (head phones work so it could be cable or bluetooth issue) it skips to track 4 or so. Pretty sure it's level, so is there a weight issue with the tone arm?
Hi there! Please contact our Audio Solutions Team for help. You can reach them at audio-solutions@atus.com. Thanks! - A-T USA
Thank you
Is it posible to listen the music using USB while is recording? I've been trying with no solutions.
Hi there! It is, and the way this is accomplished depends on which type of computer you have, Windows or Mac, which Operating System is on the computer and which, if any, recording software is being used. Please contact the Audio Solutions Department at audio-solutions@atus.com with this information so we can further assist you. Thanks! - A-T USA
I was looking at getting a speaker which I can plug into the record player but not sure which ones would be compatible? Not looking for anything to expensive so if you have any suggestions it would be much appreciated!
Hi there! We recommend getting a set of speakers that can be positioned a few feet apart. Unfortunately, we do not currently sell speaker sets, but we suggest checking out brands such as: Edifier, Audioengine, Kanto, Klipsch, Mackie and PreSonus. Thanks! - A-T USA
Hello. Will only simple speakers work? Or do I need to buy more stuff to use it?
Hi Julia! You may connect the turntable to a stereo receiver or connect directly to powered speakers. Powered speakers indicate the speakers have their own internal power amplifier to drive them. There are many options ranging in price and features and you may do an internet search for options or go to your local electronics store for options. Thanks! - A-T USA
Hello,
I’ve had my one for a couple of years but it’s now playing at 35rpm instead of 33 1/3. Any suggestions?

I want to connect it to my amplifier with bluetooth. I don't want to have a chord across the living room. Is there anything i could buy to connect to the usb?

So I'm wondering can I get my turntable to play through my audio Interface or do I need a intermediary...I have an audio interfaxe with rca ins but I don't here any sound through the speakers connected to my auido Interface.....another question I have is why did I get a USB cable but no USB port
Hi there! You may connect the turntable to the RCA inputs on your audio interface if you are able to direct monitor those inputs. This would allow you to hear the audio or monitor the audio while the turntable is playing. Make certain to engage the turntable’s RIAA phono preamp by putting the switch on the rear of the turntable to LINE. If you have further questions or issues, please contact the Audio Solutions Department at audio-solutions@atus.com. Thanks! - A-T USA
How to ground this turntable to my Audiolab amplifier when using the phono option?
would i be able to connect headphones directly into the turntable?
Hi there! No, you would need a headphone amp. As an alternative, the AT-LP60XHP is made to use headphones. Thanks! - A-T USA
I was wondering what the power supply plug size this needs? Have to replace the power supply
Hi Manuel, The power supply for the AT-LP60X turntable can be purchased from our website. www.audio-technica.com/en-us/atpt-lp60xpsu - A-T USA
There's a small round piece of plastic that comes in the bag, I know where it goes, but what's that for? I can't seem to find any use for that.
Hi Rafael! You are referring to the 45 RPM record adapter. This is for older 45’s that have the large center hole. Thanks! - A-T USA
@@AudioTechnicaUSA thank u!
Thank yiu
Hi, do you recommend if i want to bought this turntable?i mean did you get a lots of problems from buyer on this model?
Is this turntable just used to transfer music to the iMac or can the music be played over the speakers, if it can, over which and are the speakers the only equipment I need to play the music out loud?
Hi there! The turntable will connect to USB input on the Mac. You must have software such as Audacity loaded and running to hear music on the Mac and it’s attached or internal speakers. Thanks! - A-T USA
@@AudioTechnicaUSA will it work with PC aswell ?
@@devinsheaven Yes, the turntable can also be connected to Windows computers. Thanks! - A-T USA
@@AudioTechnicaUSA good looks 👌🏾
Is this the same as the regular model? but it will allow me to connect to a computer
Hi Maxwell! The only difference between the AT-LP60XUSB and the AT-LP60X is the USB connection to the computer. Thanks! - A-T USA
so to use this turntable i still need to buy a receiver?
Hi there! Yes, they need to be connected to powered type speakers or a stereo receiver with analog AUX inputs(or phono). Thanks! - A-T USA
@@AudioTechnicaUSA so i cant use it without a speaker like cant the sound just come out of the turntable itself?
@@MusaSyxx Unfortunately, no, it can’t. While some turntables have built-in speakers, the LP60XUSB does not. Thanks! - A-T USA

Hello! To use the turn table do I have to have speakers? Thank you
Hi there! Yes, you will need external speakers in order to use the AT-LP60XUSB. We recommend pairing our turntables with powered bookshelf speakers. - A-T USA
@@AudioTechnicaUSA thank you!
Can this connect to edifier r12u speaker
Hi Roh! It appears the listed speakers are powered via USB. As long as you power the speakers via the USB connection (not through the turntable), you may use the speaker’s analog 3.5mm connection to connect to the turntable. (Note, the preamp switch on the rear of the turntable should be set to LINE.) Thanks! A-T USA
My top came up and the rubber came off completely. Can someone show what it looks like with it on and the cover off ?
Hi there. Do you mind elaborating a bit? Thanks! A-T USA
Do I need usb speakers or will 3.5mm ones work?
Hi there! The USB is only for connecting to a computer. You would need to use 3.5mm or RCA AUX inputs on powered speakers (or stereo amplifier and passive speakers). When setting up your speakers, make sure the switch on the back of the turntable is set to LINE. Thanks! - A-T USA
@@AudioTechnicaUSA oh ok, thanks that's really helpful

I have the audio technica Lp60x (Bob usb )connected to a pair of active speakers it is set up properly .The speakers don’t work there is one key component not working !THERE IS NO SOUND ! I have tried flipping the switch to phono and line in .Still no sound !
I would like a logical non BS answer
@@nightisright1873 Hi there, please see below for options to help troubleshoot.
If the turntable shows a SOLID BLUE LIGHT, the turntable is paired to the speaker. Often, Bluetooth speakers have a multi-function button used to play/pause music or pickup and hang-up phone calls. Try pressing that button on the speaker (this will sometimes mute the music playing through the speaker). You may confirm this function with your speaker manufacturer.
For troubleshooting purposes, with the preamp switch in the LINE position, plug a set of headphones directly into the turntable. While the level will be lower, you will be able to hear the signal from the turntable and if you can hear in both sides, we know the turntable is in working order and the issue is elsewhere in your signal chain.
If you do not hear any audio through the headphones, you may remove and reinstall the stylus to make certain the stylus is properly seated in the cartridge. Below is a linked resource on how to do so:
