There seems to be a lot of confusion about Nextbase intelligent parking mode. As I understand it if your camera is not hardwired and you are using just the camera battery, it wont work properly and will just run down the camera battery. If you are using it with the cigarette lighter attachment and that has a consent power when car engine turned off. You can drain the car battery. So hard wiring it in, The hard wire kit has a built in battery protection that will not allow the car battery to drain below a safe level making sure you will have enough power to start the car and it turns off power to the camera before that happens. When the camera is hard wired in, 1 the camera turns itself off but stays in a standby mode and when it picks up a movement of the car or a vibration of any sort. it starts to record and then locks that recording and turns itself off again. So it uses not a lot of power. from the car battery. I don't think it picks up movement of people passing when in parking mode unless you are recording all the time. But the amount of files one would have of nothing happening to ones car would be crazy to have to go through, But there are a few settings that are a must when using parking mode. One turn the screen saver ON the G sensor to high. and the parking mode on. The auto power in settings to ON at 11.6 volts on the car battery it will turn the camera off, It also turns the camera off when you park. If I am wrong in the settings please let me know folks from Nextbase Dash Cams
There are a few steps you can take to ensure the maximum image quality. I would recommend re-adjusting the polarising filter on the dash cam to ensure the 622GW is picking everything up. You can also adjust the contrast of the video via the settings on the dash cam too.
Hi,didn’t know that you can recording continuously with the 622. Hardwired or power supply? In this case of tecording the screen lights always up from the cam? Thanks for the video!
Hi, sorry for the late response. I have set it to record 3mins length video. I had turned on the parking mode and only using the power supply, but I noticed my car complaining about the battery all the time so I have just turned the parking mode off now. Hope this helps. Thanks
Sorry for not responding earlier. I actually don't know how long it lasts, but the car complain about low battery quite often, then I got worried in case of breakdown due to no battery at all so I turned the parking mode off, and it never says low battery since.

Parking mode is non existent on mines, it barely comes on
What will that do, make it more brighter?
You need to rotate the polarizer filter ring in front of your dash cam.
Thanks, will give it a try next time.

@@AM2K2 reduce the reflection
How to put it on parking mode?.

What setting did you use to ensure it recorded all the time like this? I have the 522gw and wondering if it can do the same
I had the parking mode on, and set the recording length to 3 minutes. But I turned it off now as it's draining my battery 😃
why the dash cam does record video if nothing happens?
It starts recording once there's any movement, and continues for a while (not sure for how long), I had my setting for 3 minutes.
How long battery holds on parking mode

Did you have to add the most annoying music to the video?! It would have been much better silent.
