I want to save my original after I hit pan so that my granddaughter/s (when I get them) can see the colors and their Nana will tell them the story of Mel, one of the greatest beauties ever and who helped change the eyeshadow game forever for many people!
Not sure I can use mine, its become a collector item, and it's precious just like Mel was. It's still hard to believe and I'm broken hearted and worry about her husband and children, and how they are coping....

Hi Charlotte. I for one thoroughly appreciate the fact that you don't review Hourglass on your channel. As a black woman, I find it very disheartening when I hear a lot of influencers talk about shade ranges but still actively promote brands that *refuse* to be inclusive. The fact that you have stuck to your guns on the Hourglass matter shows to me that you actually care and that they things you say aren't just to pacify people but because you actually believe in it. In the last year, Hourglass have made poor attempts to pull the wool over our eyes into believing that they are making a move towards inclusivity and if anything it just makes me more frustrated with them

I love this type of video. It's such a good reminder that amazing new makeup is ALWAYS coming along and there is no way possible to keep up with the beauty gurus favourites or "must have's" because they are always moving on to the next thing. I remember almost buying the Natasha Bronze (and Glam) palette because EVERYONE was raving about it and saying it's a 'must have'. Now nobody talks about it anymore! Same with Gucci bronzer, which was sooo expensive! And as Charlotte said with her blush palettes, she doesn't get a lot of use out of each one because she has so many now. Seeing a video like this just really shows me how my attitudes to makeup have changed (and how happy I am about that!). I don't chase the newest, best, 'must have' thing anymore because I KNOW within a matter of weeks the beauty gurus will be on to a NEW NEW 'must have' item that they're 'obsessed' with. It's a completely unsustainable cycle. I really appreciate Charlotte's transparency here and LOVE this idea of "Where are my favourite's now?" I hope you keep doing this series Charlotte! All my 2020 faves are still the same this year EXCEPT for mascara (realized tubing mascaras are wayyyy better for my hooded eyes) AND #1 eyeshadow palette ( I got my first ever Pat Mcgrath palette - Mothership 5 Bronze Seduction - and now it's all I ever want to use 😂
I LOVE that Tiny Marvels is your most special palette! I see this palette every day and I think of her every day while doing my makeup. I love watching her Tiny Marvels videos over and over again. Last year I decided to use primarily SG shadows and using Temptalia I am able to dupe or talk myself out of every palette that comes around. Thank you for talking about her and her beautiful palette. The Tiny Marvels palette is my favorite colorful palette that I have in my collection of mostly neutral, it is part of Mel's legacy now, and every time I use it I remember her enthusiasm for makeup and her happy demeanor. I also love my ND Glam and Bronze palettes still, I have been using them mostly in the cooler temps and still love the colors and quality of them.
I'm wearing Tiny Marvels today. I ordered her lipstick collaboration with Christian Audette and haven't brought myself to touch them. I will eventually but seeing her name on them was both beautiful and heartbreaking. Love the idea of a top 20 for the year, can't wait to see it

About a week after Mel passed I finally got my hands on the Tiny Marvels palette I had bought and had shipped to my brother in the US. I haven’t used it yet. When I opened the.box I was so happy to have it, but also so sad. Hope you’re doing ok, Charlotte. Loved hearing your updated thoughts on your faves this way. x
Maybe buy another Tiny Marvels palette and depot and use; then display the external palette. That's what I did. I'm glad Sydney grace is keeping it in stock for the benefit of Mel's family. I was absolutely devastated to hear of her passing even though we never met and she didn't even know me. I felt like she was such a caring, old soul.

I love the ND Glam palette, it's pretty timeless. Also nothing will ever beat the PM concealer, I only ever wear super full coverage concealers and Pat's one is my favourite, more so than my old HG Nars soft matte.
Tiny Marvels my most precious pallet I own, I’m getting another one cause I love using it and I would be heartbroken if I hit pan and couldn’t replace it. Thank you thank you for your recommendation of that PM banana color under eye powder, it’s so pretty on my 68 year old dry undereyes. I’m sad that Lisa Eldridge foundation didn’t work on my dry skin, I tried everything to get it to work, no success. 😢. On you that foundation is gorgeous, yes I’m jealous.🥰
The lightning of this video (after the sun came out and you corrected it) is perfect! Sometimes your videos have too warm of a lightning, but I’m glad you removed all that orange. I can see the colors of the products so well! Please keep this quality! 🥰
The pros and cons of filming in natural daylight unfortunately! Sadly I can't control the sun and it's not always possible to adjust for every change when its cloudy but i promise I always do the best i can with what I got x
I need to start using the Glam and pull in the Celestial Odyssey or the Rose Quartz. I don’t have the Tiny Marvels palette, but an getting more curious about it. Mel was such a bright, beautiful presence on the platform and on earth in general. I miss her making videos.

I use my Hourglass palette A LOT. Every single time I put on makeup (2-3 times a week). I dip into the pans, especially the finishing powders, multiple times every use. Still domed and pristine looking. I don’t know if I will ever be able to pan one of their products.

Totally agree w/you re: Lisa Eldridge Velvet Affair….a gorgeous shade & perfect for medium skin tones for a “your lips but better” effect!!👍😊 I have the same challenges w/nude lip shades as you do- virtually all of them are too light/unwearable on me.
One thing that puzzles me is why Natasha Denona has individual highlighters, but not bronzers! I’d love to have a single bronzer because the formula is really great! (Does she have a single bronzer that I haven’t found?) I have the mini Bronze and Glow palette. I’d love that same bronzer without the highlighter.
Have you ever tried the Gucci shiny colorful lip balms brilliant glow & care shine lipstick is what they’re called. Soooo comfortable and the amount of colors is amazing
Im not sure I've seen anything to suggest they're trying to be inclusive. Their 'Deep' holiday palette included almost all existing shades and the bronzer was lighter than the 'light' palette...I don't see more effort sadly x
How do you use the fire rose. I understand the bronze in the crease and light colour on the lid. How do you use the red to deepen? (Where abouts I guess)

I’ve tried so many times to get the Tiny Marvels palette and it’s always sold out when I try to order it. I love Mel so much. 😥 it’s out of stock again!
I forget about my Chantecaille blush/highlighter too. Then I go to use it and there’s hard pan. I have to scrap off the top layer to use it. Not buying another blush or highlighter from this brand. Poor experience.

I have the same challenges w/nude lip shades as you do- virtually all of them are too light/unwearable on me.

One thing that puzzles me is why Natasha Denona has individual highlighters, but not bronzers! I’d love to have a single bronzer because the formula is really great! (Does she have a single bronzer that I haven’t found?) I have the mini Bronze and Glow palette. I’d love that same bronzer without the highlighter.
She has contours but not bronzers yet! X

I think we have to acknowledge & support that Hourglass is now trying to be more inclusive with their palettes
Im not sure I've seen anything to suggest they're trying to be inclusive. Their 'Deep' holiday palette included almost all existing shades and the bronzer was lighter than the 'light' palette...I don't see more effort sadly x

I forget about my Chantecaille blush/highlighter too. Then I go to use it and there’s hard pan. I have to scrap off the top layer to use it. Not buying another blush or highlighter from this brand. Poor experience.
