I never had a chance to meet any of these men, but I know about their fame as brave and loyal warriors ... it would certainly be an honor to be in combat fight with them by my side.
When I was serving in the Malaysian Armed Forces "Ranger Regiment" an offshoot of the Sarawak Rangers of the past" where mostly The "DAYAK IBAN" Warriors formerly were serving. We did had a very good and nice time together with the British Gurkha Riffle, when we had a Combine / Training Exercise with them at Malaysian Jungle Warfare Training School in Johore Bahru, Msia in 1978.

Served with a company of Ghurkha in Belize in the seventies. What these guys dont know about fighting in the tropics is not worth knowing, if the USA had a battalion of these guys during Vietnam might have been a different ending.
