Just imagine , playing those instruments so well while marching at Light Infantry pace , Amazing that these the most respected of fighting men can be such wonderful musicians too.
The French Republicain Guards can pull off better than that. No joking They can play instruments whilst horseback riding The Marching song they play sound Frenchie. However they really good
I am sure the Republican Guard play extremely well but they don't play at the light divs double march. The light division snd the Brigade of Gurkhas play and march faster then any soldiers in the world
Spiffing video once again Sir!! The Gurkhas do know how to put on a show. I was hoping they would bring back "Viribus Unitis", and they did! Well done on navigating through the crowds, and keeping up with the Band at the same time! It was most enjoyable to watch!
My grandfather's last posting was with a company of Ghurkas. He was proud to have served with them as he considered them the finest and bravest warriors. When he was demobbed they presented him with a kukris, which he displayed in his living room.
My Dad served with 7th Gurkha in Hong Kong. Like yours, he loved the "Johnnies", and they presented him with a kukri when he left. I had my eye on it... and the old bugger gave it to my American brother-in-law.😳😤
Great video as always well played by both the Gurkhas (interesting to hear that they have pipes too) and the Welsh Guards. Viribus Unitis was great. And of course, The Contemptibles which is one of my favorites.
Another excellent video, MBE! Many thanks for getting through the crowds so skillfully to bring us the best bits, and also for the comprehensive information in the Description.
Thanks for sharing this footage! Silly question maybe, but I’ve seen various Drum Majors salute the Household Cavalry detachment as it passes on a couple of videos: why do they do that (especially as there doesn’t appear to be any acknowledgment/salute back)?
Good question. If you look carefully as the cavalry ride past you can see them giving an ‘eyes right’ towards the band. They are in fact saluting the colour of the new guard. The angle on this video makes it hard to see, but they are in fact paying the compliment. Obviously when the cavalry ride with a standard during a long guard at Horse Guards due the sovereign residing, the guards then also pay the complement to them likewise.
Hi Denis, thanks for your feedback it’s much appreciated! Although, I run this channel called ‘Military BANDS Everywhere’ to document and share the traditions of military band performances and the music that they play hence the main focus not being on the guard. There are lots of other channels that follow the guard so I’m sorry I don’t feature them as much but as I say, my aim is to document the band and music performed specifically.
I'm an ex Welsh Guardsman, marching behind the bands makes you feel a sense of such pride
It certainly does but I sadly never had a chance to march behind the massed bands of the Brigade of Guards
Wonderful sight and wonderful soldiers we are very lucky to have them.
Thank you for your service to,our country. Pray all of you will stay safe.
I was there, the smiles and excitement on the peoples faces was amazing.

@@christophermichaelclarence6003 But can they fight as well as our Gurkha soldiers ? Probably no
@@macmccartneymccartney1529 Don't think they can . The French would eventually surrender to our Gurkha. 😆
Especially playing the pipes aswell

Thanks Delvin, appreciate the kind feedback as always. Great to hear Viribus Unitis as we both said!
Such small men in stature, yet most feared for their ferocious fighting. Wonderful sight and sound.

Thanks, MBE, for your efforts
Thanks Charlotte, much appreciated!

Thank you Mike, that’s very kind, much appreciated! Always trying to help and be as informative as possible!
Thousands of miles from home and they honour us with their presence thanks the Gurkhas
Just wonderful…..everything that makes you so very proud to be British 👌

Wonderfull!
Trust the Ghurkas to have the jolliest tune even though they are absolUTE badasses
Fantastic. Love. Them. ❤
Fantastic 👍👏👏👏
Whew! Glad I was a Bass Drummer in U.S. Army Bands, not a Gurhaka. Wow! Well done.
Ayo Gorkhali! Superb

@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere thank you for taking the time to reply- and I see what you mean! Thanks again for everything you post on your channel.
I wonder how much difficulty they had, training those Police horses to walk at Light Infantry pace, instead of "normal" infantry marching speed?
Light Infantry just has to quick march everywhere, what's the hurry?
You certainly don't hear "The Machine-Gun Guards" very often.
Why is video quality/resolution so LOW!!!!?
Scruffy plod on the bike looks like you need a good wash before giving your orders
Shameful that they had to fight for the right to stay in the UK, while Hamas supporters get the green light.
Show less of the band, more guard

Spectacular performance,poor quality
It was a great performance indeed! What was lacking in quality?
I quite like UK martial music but don't like German martial music.
