By any chance have you played Doom Eternal before playing ULTRAKILL? Because that might be the problem. If you are used to playing a normal video game like Doom, then playing ULTRAKILL in general is difficult. However, ULTRAKILL is not meant to be played like a normal fps game. Also, play around in the sandbox. It helps to practice combos. Anyway, this game plays like how crack smells, but it goes harder than diamonds. Minos is the best boss ever. Hes hard but not super hard, his move set is really good, he doesnt wear any clothes, and the music is fire. Minos could be pretty good as a smash bros character, the combo potential could be pretty good there
Ultrakill does such an incredible job at having the player feel like they tangibly got better. My first minos prime run was on standard and took 90 attempts, literally a week later I p-ranked him on violent. In that week I didn’t get some new op weapon, or grind some stat to destroy him. All I did was merely practice, and enough practice makes you feel overpowered in this game.
its the only game that ive played where you aren’t limited by your arsenal, but your skill and creativity, which is why its so damn cool and satisfying
I absolutely get what you mean, I went from just barely beating him on standard to be able to beat him just by punching only in a couple of weeks, its an amazing feeling tbh
I kind of had the suspense of the first playthrough ruined as I had already seen a lot about it. Hell flesh prison took longer for me but god damn is Minos fun as hell. That's why I'm purposefully avoiding as many spoilers as I can for sisyphus
I used to never play ultrakill, however I always wanted to play it, knowing how cool and good looking it is. One of the main factors were the voice acting and the characters. They just hooked me in. Dying was worth it hearing those "Die! Thy end is now!"
(spoilers) the "he didn't deserve it" part is really what makes me like Sisyphus less, instead od pure pain in ost we just hear anger, and it just doesn't hit as hard, i obviously rank P-2 as best level in Ultrakill, the ost is amazing, but the final boss... After Minos... Just no
Before seeing or watching this video. I've actually seen a video about speedrunners killing this boss.. Minos, in around a minute, complete with all S scores. And after watching this video, I have now understood just how hard it actually was to do make such an achievement, and how easy the speedrunners made it look like(especially to someone who hasn't played the game personally) to actually achieve such a thing.
Even though you realized that Minos is not the strongest opponent after meeting Sisyphus, he is by far the BEST boss. Sisyphus, meanwhile, was a brutal dictator Manipulating his people for war with heavеn. Sisyphus looks like a fat Cerberus, he showed himself to be an absolute antagonist, even Gabriel was not an absolute evil, he just followed orders. And Minos... Minos simply magnificent in every aspect
Tbf, Sisyphus was not pure evil either. Him and his people were all under a brutal oppression, far worse than what Minos and the Lust layer had went through. He was wise enough to know there would be no freedom from Hell, but he still fought, just to spite his slavers. Sisyphus is pure tenacity and determination, and while both him and his subjects would crumble after a thousand lifetimes of futile struggle, the king did not regret it either.
@@jimboanimations4041 Yeah, he isnt evil in the way that che guevara isnt evil. they’re just freedom fighters. The reason i praise minos so much though is he’s just the most stand out different character in ultrakill. He’s the only person with some honor left.
@@jimboanimations4041 Then I'm sorry (Maybe it's better explained in the book, but I haven't read it). And while Sisyphus saw in us (v1) As a light snack before dinner, Minos perceived us as a threat to all living things (yes, in fact we are evil) and if you don’t stop us, hell will die and paradise will die after it (well, this is purely my guess, After all, if the machine kills all living things in hell, then he will go further to look for blood)
@@1dontknown I honestly don't think Sisyphus truly saw us as a foe he could easily beat (despite the fact he took me around 100 attempts to finally win against), given his dialogue both when he reaches phase 2, and when he is killed. Sisyphus honestly seems like he is trying to encourage the machine to defeat him, or at least is just enjoying the fight regardless. Some theories state he knows of all of V1's victories and believes the machine may be able to succeed where he always failed, though we sadly don't have enough knowledge on Sisyphus to know. I really wish he had more buildup in ACT 2, just like how Minos was built up.
My goofy ah really thought that when I killed flesh prison I beat p-1. Me and my friend where there and we started celebrating, then we both realized that the boss was only half done.

This is a very well made video, keep it up :)
Devourer of gods is getting a MASSIVE sprite rework. literally. he will be massive.
dude i saw i am so beyond excited for that
Like people said. Minos is the hero. You are the protaganist
I remember Minos...and it only took me 300 restarts!!! :DDDD
(after having now beaten P-2 in 100 restarts, I went back and easily P-ranked Minos)
0:59 he had Sisyphus music he predicted it
0:58*
0:56 btw
why do I all of a sudden imagine minos and gwyn from dark souls having a tea party
7:39 This is almost how it feels to be hit by Ganondorf's down-air
Also, when the game is finished, we all want an option to spare Minos. I hope the devs give us that option
yeah i didnt even know he could do that, but when i was filming that he did that combo and i was like holy shit smash bros
also yes i want a minos prime playable character that would be so damn cool
One time i was crying while fighting minos
@@Meatslap "WEAK!" (I'm sorry lmao)
@@Meatslapsame lmao, 12 hours on the same level is painful
“thy end is now” Minos Prime said calmly
Ngl, P-Ranking him after like 200+ restarts and 3 days of trying is the best ive felt playing a video game
Minos is the best boss ever. Hes hard but not super hard, his move set is really good, he doesnt wear any clothes, and the music is fire. Minos could be pretty good as a smash bros character, the combo potential could be pretty good there
now imagine if like P-5 in the future required you to Perfect rank all other P levels
there wont be p-5, as theres only 9 layers with 3 prime level
I still get chills from hearing the first bits of the song
0:39 bro didnt parry the drone... fr?
😮

Ultrakill does such an incredible job at having the player feel like they tangibly got better. My first minos prime run was on standard and took 90 attempts, literally a week later I p-ranked him on violent. In that week I didn’t get some new op weapon, or grind some stat to destroy him. All I did was merely practice, and enough practice makes you feel overpowered in this game.
its the only game that ive played where you aren’t limited by your arsenal, but your skill and creativity, which is why its so damn cool and satisfying
@@yrowe yeah man my friend killed him with the revolver
I absolutely get what you mean, I went from just barely beating him on standard to be able to beat him just by punching only in a couple of weeks, its an amazing feeling tbh
Fun fact: when minos says ‘thy end is now’, it is actually a reference to the fact that he is about to end you.
I prefer Sisyphus, but I’d be lying if I said Minos wasn’t a close second lol
Ultrakill is a game that can be described just buy a few words:
When you’re the unstoppable force, but there’s no impenetrable wall
7:03 no one gonna talk about how the player shoots minos in the balls?
+DDDisrespect
He took + Disrespect to a whole new level
9:00 "that's it"
RUclips: fucking crashes
Funniest shit I ever seen
When you master this man and just P rank him daily hits hard
the only boss that says “die” and then makes you die
I kind of had the suspense of the first playthrough ruined as I had already seen a lot about it. Hell flesh prison took longer for me but god damn is Minos fun as hell. That's why I'm purposefully avoiding as many spoilers as I can for sisyphus
pretty cool to see someone play ultrakill this well tbh. you sure know how to go fast and kick ass!
Congrats on getting blessed by the algorithm btw
The fact that at 3:00 there's a dude with a name so fowl, it needed to be censored is just...💀
Banger video as usual bestie
I used to never play ultrakill, however I always wanted to play it, knowing how cool and good looking it is. One of the main factors were the voice acting and the characters. They just hooked me in. Dying was worth it hearing those "Die! Thy end is now!"
(spoilers) the "he didn't deserve it" part is really what makes me like Sisyphus less, instead od pure pain in ost we just hear anger, and it just doesn't hit as hard, i obviously rank P-2 as best level in Ultrakill, the ost is amazing, but the final boss... After Minos... Just no
MINOS MADE ME CHRONICALLY DEPRESSED WHY DOES HE HAVE SAD LORE
Nice vid bro
Minos prime saying DEATH is foreshadowing the time where he kills you
Watched the entire video then realized u dont got millions of views, so underrated.
My reaction after beating him for the first time my thoughts were “ahh sh*t I just killed the good guy.”
JUDGEMENT
Yup
Tbh Minos took me like 5 attempts, NOW FLESH PRISON MADE THOSE OTHER 65
Even though you realized that Minos is not the strongest opponent after meeting Sisyphus, he is by far the BEST boss. Sisyphus, meanwhile, was a brutal dictator Manipulating his people for war with heavеn. Sisyphus looks like a fat Cerberus, he showed himself to be an absolute antagonist, even Gabriel was not an absolute evil, he just followed orders. And Minos... Minos simply magnificent in every aspect
my thoughts exactly
8:15 yrowe caught trying to parry with knuckleblaster
I know Mr. Yrowe probably isn't going to see this, but this video and the P-2 video is the reason I got into ULTRAKILL. Thank you, Yrowe.
Minos prime is a boss who screams "die" and then actually beat the crap out of you
“THY END IS NOW” is referencing that Minos is gonna beat you into the flippin dirt 20000000 feat under
I never questioned how good a person minos was, and when I p-ranked his fight, I was overwhelmed with joy as opposed to melancholy. P-ranking Pinos is my greatest achievement so far.
“I mean how hard could it be”
7 minutes later
“OHSHITOHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT”
my first reaction to seeing art of Minos was literally
‘why the spot so buff bruh’
Most of honoured to be in thy documentary, wish thee prosperity and glory.
thank you minos, hope you get out of gluttony soon 🙏
