@@sirmounted8499 I skip most of those videos because I grow tired of the drama. When he had just a camera and a story they were great, when he wasn't doing radio announcer voice. Larry seem's like a guy just having a conversation, someone you could hang out with and when you went home at the end of the day you don't feel like your getting a load of bullshit.

When Larry spoke about the cockroaches in the ears, it brought back memories. I used to work in a hospital (not a prison hospital), but in a hot, swampy state. People would come in with roaches in their ears. Larry didn't tell you how to get them out. They won't come out with you just jumping around, usually. So FYI: if you are ever in a situation where you get a roach in your ear (and it may work for other insects, like spiders, I don't know), put a couple of drops of alcohol or hydrogen peroxide in your ear and the roach should come out and not do too much damage, because it can damage your ear.
The way you talk about Big Ben is honestly such gold.

I did 5 years starting 9 days after i turned 18. I got out did alot of public speaking, was on the news channel in ct, and got my cdl and began my life. 23 and life is good. Love what you do!
I used to have pet rats,and they were by far the best pets ever. So much personality and so easy to train, so smart. easily the best animal friends I’ve ever had. And that includes dogs and cats

I work in the food service industry and was taking a class to get my food sanitation license and one of the other people was from the max security prison in the area. The teacher was asking us what we do to mark times and dates on food product, day dots, labels etc... the prison guy says 'we use a sharpie on the package when we think about it, what are they going to do shut us down if they don't like it'.
I’ve gotta imagine what happened when they saw the mattress gone. “Hey Lawton, where did your mattress go?” “I flushed it!” 🤣

I always have a good laugh at this channel I feel bad laughing at your misfortunes but the way you tell the stories cracks me up
I remember putting the jumpers under the doors. I also kept everything as clean as possible in my cells. There really is no excuse for living like a slob in prison, you have all the time in the world.
When I did some time in Albany County Jail, they actually had birds flying up and down the tiers that would just fly in through the windows. They would always come after the lock in times because they knew inmates would be locked in but they could find crumbs of food laying around.
You are so right, Glad you are out and I hope doing well. You had me smiling with the birds because we had them in El Reno. It was the old holdover in Oklahoma before they put the new prison at the airport.

I ate a mouse at FCI Ft. Dix in New Jersey for 1500 dollars. Changed my life at the time. Rats and mouse are nasty and were every where. Had ground hogs every where there too. Doing time can make you go crazy. I did it for recognition and the money. It was pretty easy for me. Enjoyed the stories. Was interesting to watch. Great video

I used to think for the longest time that anyone who got sentenced to do many years in a maximum-security prison mine as well just be put to death. But ever since I’ve been listening to this guy Larry I have changed my mind. I’m glad Larry Lawton is still alive. This man is cool and can pass on a lot of information to other people. In the UK when I went to young offenders every time i came outside this pigeon always came to see me, funny thing was is that I was only there for 3 months
Larry, you would have been a hit at one of the schools I used to teach at that was two thirds surrounded by water, so we had a HUGE rat problem. The little (actually, very large) critters used to wander across the floor during maths, etc. It was traditional for the Year 10s to design and set rat traps around the perimeter of the school each year. It became a competition to see who was the most innovative. The Year 10 students also went round the rest of the school to explain how the traps worked, and not to touch the bait because it was poisonous, and the mechanisms were capable of talking off one's fingers, so don't go shoving your hand in the boxes, etc. However, we never tried to befriend rats. That's a new concept!

I think it would be really cool for you to make videos talking about news related to prisons all over the world. Would be great to hear someone who’s experienced what it’s like talking about it.
