Thanks for providing these Sony Alpha A to Z series. I have watched and rewatched many of the videos and always pick something up new. I have set my cameras up using this method ISO / minimum ss and many of your other suggestions. When it comes to how to use the Sony cameras there are no other RUclips channels I need to go to thanks.
Glad you like them! - if you want additional support above and beyond these videos I offer an Alpha Support service at Patreon.com/markgaler - from this site you can download a cameraspecific eBook, a CAMSET (camera setup file) and watch over 20 hours of member-only exclusive photography videos.
In the "ISO AUTO Min. SS", would the camera stick to the selected min SS or would it also elect to shoot faster, with light condition permitting? Thanks!
Sony refer to these as dual gain sensors but the second higher sweet spot varies from sensor to sensor. The site called photons to photos provide graphs for each model.
@@AlphaCreativeSkills Mark isn’t the second tier of the dual band on the A7R3 starting at ISO 800? Therefore ISO 640 and anything at or below 640 is on the first tier? Thanks so much, great channel you have ! Cheers
Wow. I thought I knew everything I needed to know about my ISO settings. Then I watched this video. Thank you sir!
Glad it was helpful!

It will move faster when the base level ISO in the ISO Auto Range is reached and slower when the maxi ISO is reached.
@@AlphaCreativeSkills Thanks again.
Luv your A to Z Series.
Thanks for these very informative videos! Some reviewers claim that the a7 IV has two “base” ISO values (100 & 1600). Do you know if this is accurate?

100 and 3200
I don’t know why Sony doesn’t implement the min and max iso option on the A7II…
It was a third generation invention that never got rolled back to older models
Please ask Sony to let us change the auto ISO min shutter speed with one of the command wheels!
OK - will do
