I have followed Janet on every tour and have gone to multiple shows each tour and no matter how many times I've seen Janet live "IF" is and always will be my favorite. Thats like my Janet anthem lol.
First off, thanks fattywoby for posting your vid. I loved it. Great to see the concert on youtube for us who can not go. I have been binge watching all the vids from Layfayette to Houston to San Antonio to Dallas and now Little Rock. But I have noticed that everything sounds the same at every concert. And I started thinking how can two guitars, a keyboard and a drum set make all that music. I hope she has not started lip syncing again. I would rather the real deal than have something made just to look and sound flashy.
Like Fattywobyfour870 said it is prerecorded as most artist do for their concerts but she sings live over the vocals. If she didn't do it that way it would not sound as well as it does because with all the dancing she does thru out the show you would hear the vocals in and out especially during certain dance moves such as turning around quick and bending etc.
Beach Walker, i think there's lip synching going on here with prerecorded vocals with occasional actual voice dialogue or lyrics. Perhaps the slow songs without any dancing is when it's all her on vocals. I saw her two years ago and it again appeared heavily lip synched, HOWEVER the show was so entertaining that I didn't care at all it was lip synched. I'm planning on seeing her next month.
I am with you on that. She could just dance with no singing and i would be in a Janet trance. Just a thought i had on the lip syncing but in the end it does not matter. I'm just glad she is back to her old self and looks happy.

If you watch the velvet rope tour and the all for you tour, it's the same choreography with amazing dancers, but this tour wasn't as great in choreography and dancers. I love Janet to say again but since 2001, the all for you tour the choreography and dancers have not been the same and not in a pleasant way.

Janet had routines and dancers during her Rhythm Nation tour that I'm pretty sure she thought she couldn't live without but she had Tina, who went from 'Dancer to Choreographer' and "Lit up the joint". What most fail to realize is Janet has "THE ONLY SAY" when it comes to what is going to be seen and featured. Tina wasn't just someone going over numbers, putting dancers in check but Janet and Tina were friends and actually in this complicated relationship because Janet relied on Tina to stay heavy on what was poppin' (Popping) at the time Janet literally helps to create stars and allows people to be the best version of themselves. Tina and Janet had a "falling out" over personal stuff, you know human shit and it seemed that Gil was a dancer that stayed in the fold and started to see his opportunity not just as a dancer but as a friend. Janet trusted him and he became Janet's "New Tina" and Gil's direction has been under heavy scrutiny but Gil isn't just talented but LOYAL and the one thing with the Jackson Clan is LOYALTY...............Janet is the baby of her family (Michael called Janet "Funky Janet" on the Jackson variety show and Honey, no one was funkier than Janet but Rebbie wasn't playing and Latoya freaking FLAWLESS, the boys, including Michael were just AMAZING) always had to fight for that spot. There are people on this planet that swear that Paula Abdul taught Janet how to dance and Paula is no slouch and really talented and really funky but Janet was doing it and doing it well since she was a tot. Paula brought out what Janet already had and not taking away from either woman but Janet was and has been a beast from day 1 and it's genetics. RIP Joe Jackson...............

They knew of one another for about 30 years plus because Tina danced in the video 'What Have You Done For Me Lately' which was 30 years ago. Think about it, Rene (Janet's 2nd husband) would be instrumental in bringing many of Janet's visions to life and yet he tried everything to ruin not just her career but her life with slandered-filled allegations about Janet after their marriage was over. Rene and Tina would be in Janet's life for about the same amount of time, 30 years plus. Like I have mentioned Janet is loyal and expect people in her life to be the same. Janet tends to discard, delete and dismiss you if you have this need to break her trust or try to go out in the world and damage her career with untruths about her or even sharing intimate moments and experiences. Out of all her exes, I think JD is the only one that I still feel has stayed loyal to Janet because you never hear anything outrageous coming out of his mouth about Janet, like so many others; like 'Bobby Brown', who made it a point to make her the main star in his Lifetime-type movie on BET for shade and giggles. Bobby wasn't that heartbreaking for all the dramatics because his alleged heartbreak over Janet would be 8 kids (with a few baby Mommas RIP 'Ms. Kriss') and 3 relationships later with 2 of those relationships after Janet resulting in marriage (RIP Whitney"The Voice"). Tina and Janet's fallout didn't just include them trying to make sense but a slew of people that they both we friends with and a few of them were on both Janet and Tina's payrolls. It was either you were on Janet's team or Tina's team and either way, you were screwed and especially if you danced then you wanted to stick around Tina but if you wanted to actually work in the business you picked Janet. 'Gil' and 'Kelly' were two that I noticed were in it with Janet for the long haul and to this very moment, Gil is still there with Janet. You know Janet loves to switch it up but she is once again 'Loyal' and will rock with you until the wheels fall off and Janet might not look like a fighter but Janet is a Jackson. I know having that many kids in one house, breeds fighters and scrapers. Janet is not an easy win and I don't think you want to see Janet on a dark street and try to talk that sweet talk after talking all kind of junk on her.
