Why did you sensor What About ? I mean were all grown heer. Even people in their young teens were here-who can uaually tell you more about things you THOUGHT you knew and heard. It just disrupts the songs flow and in this case the message she's conveying here about being abused physically and self esteem wise by another human. I have a show I tapped of Bowie and in a song theres a word taken out and everytime I hear the Real recording of it, my pyche expects the dub-out if it at that point and the word was Wanking-which has No meaning to Ameicans in the least LoL. I have to look and see if I see myself in here shooting, since I was so close to the stage. Just listening to the audio now editing a bunch of images. This is such a marvelous piece you did....carry on
It’s because of the creative direction. You need the wow factor. In the 90’s, “I get Lonely,” “Together Again,” “If...” no matter who was watching, no matter their taste in music, all their jaws would drop 😮 Plus think of her dancers in the past, you couldn’t take your eyes of them-Tina Landon, Shawnette Heard, Kelly Konno, etc.

I think the reason why the crowd was so boring was because moments before she performed there was a gun scare and thousands of people ran in a panic causing a stampede, then they let everyone back in when it was found it was just a gate falling. And I've gone to GCF twice, not this one, but they probably turned down the crowd's mic after that happened and it looks crowded lol.

I had such a good night! The shooting scare prior did have us rattled, the crowd in this video is not as loud as it was at the actual show, the audio purposely drowns out the audience and vocals on the mic feed, like it does at most festivals. Everyone was paying attention and tons of Janet fans were there together in groups, especially up front. It was such a memorable night. And Janet blew a kiss, pointed at me and threw a heart for me at 26:44.
She's absolutely stunning here. I met her in person on a dance floor at an underground club on a random night. Early 2000s. We danced and had a quick chat. I introduced myself and we shook hands. Jeans, t-shirt, ball cap, light makeup if any, and she was gorgeous. And gracious. Sup Ms Jackson.

The crowd AINT dead as everyone thinks. If you I listen you can hear them. For TV broadcasts they usually run an overdub...so what the TV audience hears is different than the live audience to clean up the mic feed/acoustics...things of that nature. I can hear the crowd even through the overdub
Even though her voice is as soft and quiet as ever, at least she's finally singing LIVE again. I don't even hear a backing track, which I somewhat wish she did to add a little volume to her voice. But to not have a backing track, she did good. Very rare for dance artists not to use tracks these days.

For those of you commenting that the crowd is dead, keep in mind there was a bomb/shooting scare literally right before Janet was supposed to come. The crowd had to run out of the venue and people nearly got trampled. Janet's show was nearly canceled. They had to slowly file people back and calm them down. At that point, everyone was shaken up and a lot of people had simply left out of fear. So, she's basically performing to a shell shocked audience.
This is very professional audio, and considering the scare prior to the show, the audience was shaken but i bring up professional audio because they typically drown the audience in those recordings, perhaps as a potential for a live album. From people in the audience, they said the crowd was loud so i dont think its a bad crowd, just a matter of circumstance

The Weeknd came on afterward, I think, and cut his set short but the same audience was lit on fire and bounced and sang along with every word. Still, I can hear the audience singing along here to the more iconic Janet songs.

So what the crowd is hearing is different than what we are hearing...they hear live with overdubs. We get the direct feed. Usually its the opposite, so Thats why it sounds somewhat bare.
@@LeeDfined She is always lip syncing except for the occasional "come on" and "whoo." She even opens her shows by lip syncing. Everyone knows that.

We were. Honestly we were there all day and quite literally just got over a very scary histaria, where alot of us panicked and started 🏃♂️ and screaming because we thought we were getting shot at. But it turned out to be just a collapsing scaffolding that cause the Noise and histaria . We had to be calmed down by the host and the police and controlled from stampeding all over each other. Trust me alot of us were still in shock when she started. I had a great time tho . But its weird to switch emotions like that when you thought we were being shot at like the crowd in las Vegas before.
