- Many people ask "what are these buttons" on the lower dashboard of a Subaru Outback or Legacy. Each button turns off a Subaru Eyesight function or other things like traction control or the blind spot detectors. There are also buttons for the hatch an memory height of the rear hatch (Subaru Outback).
Much appreciated. The manual is not the most succinct on this topic but you were very clear and informative.
FrankMac59 Thank you for watching and commenting. Glad it was helpful.
Wow! Thanks for really explaining this information! I have a 2019 Outback Touring and the manual makes your head spin but your video put my head back where it belongs on my shoulders!
So glad that it helped you out. Thank you for watching and commenting
what are the button to the left of the resume/set toggle on 2016 outback?
Thx. It helped a lot to understand how buttons in my newly bought 2018 outback are working
Thank you. I wish the manual would have a page listed all those buttons and indexed them on the right pages. It is hard to find the words in the manual about those buttons.
Thanks for the view and the comment - they don't seem to be able to keep up in their books with developments in the car
My Subaru legacy BSD sensors don’t seem to work. I turn them on and the light blinks on the mirror but my dashboard light is still on and said deactivated anyone know what I can do or what may be causing it???
Misa, I haven’t been with subaru for awhile, but I know there have been a lot of electrical issues with touchscreens, locking, and the like. Many repairs here in California caused by rodents munching on the soy-based wire insulation. $10,000 at the dealer for a WRX and 3 times $2,000 or more for an Ascent. Both cars in my family. So any of those could be a culprit. Good luck!
Thank you very much! My 2017 didn't come with a manual! This was helpful!
Thanks for the view and comment. You can get a PDF of the manual at Subaru.com
Hi bro I need help please
Up here in Alaska we get a fair amount of snow and ice. Lane marks are often not visible, so drivers kind of guess where the lanes should be...not always accurately. When you do come to a clear patch of asphalt, the eyesight system freaks out about you not being centered in your lane, but you may be centered between the vehicles to your left and right. I typically turn off the lane sense system in the winter because I get tired of listening to it when I am in those situations... repeatedly...all winter long...
Figured you might want a real world example...
Jadon Hawkins do u turn off the automatic braking when it’s slick outside or does the vehicle have the technology to sense that?
WOW
👍🏼
I'm glad you explained the buttons because the booklets that come with the car are as clear as mud!..I've just bought a 2020 Outback here in Australia but the books are mainly showing left hand drive models...Very frustrating!!!
Thanks for this video, now I can educate the driver!
LOL that’s why I made the video

@@Nazarus007 my son just had $10,000 damage on his WRX from rodents - good luck
Thank you for the explanation of the buttons
Thanks for the clarification
You are welcome. Thanks for checking out the video and my channel.
Maybe a camera with some actual RESOLUTION would have helped here. WOW !!
