    Good run-through of the features. Looks pretty good for the price. What's missing here is the depth of audio processing that will give the ability to tune a system fully flat. What I mean is, a 15 band graphic EQ is limited. A single band parametric EQ only let's you fix one problem area. A very good DSP will have 30 band graphic EQ and minimum of 10 parametric EQ filters. I would pay double the price of this for the same interface design but with more processing. in some cases the ability to program via an app or PC is a must. However, sometime simple is better. i like the simple all in one design of the 2.8X. I am not bashing this DSP unit. I think the price is affordable and I'm going to get one for use on my workbench for testing.

    Just bought a DSP2.4 for a home audio system. The idea was to use it to feed six audio amplifiers for a set of three-way speakers, and one more channel for subwoofer output. So I need this DSP unit to first send A signal four ways into the red RCAs of the four outputs, and B signal to the white RCA's four-way also, before crossovers and EQ's were configured. Is it possible with this 2.4 unit?

    you are very knowledgeable about the device itself and how to work around the settings, but you explained in the input parametric eq wrong, specifically the Q-Factor the tighter or the lower the value the more that will affect neighboring frequencies and the looser or higher the number the the less that will spread and affect neighboring frequencies. if you want to cut 63hz frequency or boosted without affecting 50hz or 80hz you will choose a higher number... but if you want round out more evenly and lower or boost everything around the 63hz you will go with a smaller number.

      Why would you even bother? It's not like you are going to hear it. I would suggest a helmet with headphones, that is about the only way. I have heard Harleys go down my street with the 'stereo' trying to blare out anything that can be heard over the raucousness and they sound HORRIBLE. My guess, without measuring, would be that the THD is about 90%.

      If you are running this DSP on your system, you should manager all setting for your subwoofer on this unit - which you will need to set a HPF and LPF for that channel

    • @PRVAudio

      the PRV DSP 2.8X is a great option you can use the either connection from you radio ( to your prefer ) you will just need to route the input signal to the right output channel for the subwoofer amplifiers

    Seriously, every single video I watch just skips over the save feature, and I've watched several. Does it even work? I have tried to save and all I get is some stupid screen where they want a name input. I can't get past this to the actual save. Could you PLEASE tell me how to do this? I emailed the manufacturer this question and cue the crickets. I can't find it on google, YT, the manual, or anywhere else. PLEASE HELP.

    • @PRVAudio
      @PRVAudio  3 года назад +3

      There is no saving - everything is saved as soon you set it! You can save different profiles but when you are doing adjustment whatever is set is saved already! even if you unplug the units all the settings will be saved when you turn it on back again.

    • @1989amcm

      When naming the save, the arrow pointing right will end the naming input selection and save the profile

    So i can get a decent head unit "android unit" which has a decent eq tuning most of the time and this with amps and get rid of an normal eq and crossover i suppose.
    Might be harder to get used to it but at the end of the day you save up some $$ and this does the same job

    How do i set the band pass

  • @fatboy9725
    @fatboy9725 3 года назад +3

    yo, the larger the q, the more narrow the bandwidth is bro. 1 octaves = 1.414. 2 octaves Q = .667 the lower the Q, the broader the bandwidth curve of frequencies become, affecting more frequencies. the higher the Q, the more narrow the bandwidth curve of frequencies become, affecting less frequencies

    • @PRVAudio
      @PRVAudio  2 года назад +2

      That is correct, on the Output EQ for each channel your will have an option to set the Q value
