I love the shot of Diego sitting and sniffing the wind, his ears sticking up and listening intently to everything around him, just glorious, you can see how content he is.
Carissa, you never need apologize for your video content or how you edit it. Your videos are just absolutely lovely. That's what you enjoy producing and what the majority of us are here to see. Unfortunate if a few don't appreciate your style, but they do have other options 😄. Do they make rib guards for football players 😁. Hope Iwan heals very quickly. Someone mentioned comfrey oil. I've heard amazing things about it. I need to grow some as it's got so many great benefits. Love it when you identify the birds and plants. 🐦🌿🌸 Take care and have a lovely week. 🥰♥️
That was absolutely beautiful. Good luck for Darwin. Iwan, you need to stop this football malarkey. It could cost you the wine harvest. Carissa, don’t let anyone try to tell you how your vlogs should be. They are the best out of all the many I follow. ✊❤️xx
She is indeed Christine. But, unfortunately she’s too busy working away on the farm and Iwan is doing the secretarial chores today, due to his injury. Hopefully he remembers to pass it all on. 😉😂❤️❤️❤️xxx
I work in the humanitarian sector, currently stationed in Africa.. everytime I feel a bit lost, or completely burnout, I find so much relief in your videos. I see the lush green, the vibrant life and the lovely weather that here in the savanna I don't have for months at the time.. so much peace! Thank you
Perhaps you could have a designated area (fire pit) for burning refuse. Maybe close to a veg growing area so the ash could be used in your garden. Loading the brush on a tarp as you cut saves a step and makes it easy to drag large loads to a burn or shredding area. Very interesting about how the moon affects the running of sap in grape vines.
You mentioned on Patreon about being a more natural blog less music and natural sounds, well you achieved it, awesome as always and the cats cuddled together 😻yes I am a cat dad 👍👍
This episode clearly shows one man’s trash is another man’s (woman’s) treasure. Iwan’s cut vines become Clarissa’s beautiful woven fencing. Clarissa, your film skills are like no other. You weave your film of nature shots much like you weave your garden fencing. Slowly and meticulously. They draw the viewer in every single video. Great Job. Iwan, take care to heal that rib.
Iwan might benefit from some comfrey oil to rub on those ribs, it’s not called ‘bone knit’ for nought. I hope he and the poor chicken heal well & soon.
How caring your dogs are about the chicken! And what beautiful tunes she makes even though she is hurt☺️hope she will recover very soon! Just as Iwan! Beautiful video as always! Cheers from Russia!❤
For any injuries on your chickens(any birds) put some raw honey in some warm water, it acts like an antibiotic for them and it heals any wounds!!! Good luck! Do that for a week❤
Hope chicken heals fast.youre a good chicken nurse. So sweet animals. Can't say it enough. T y for sharing them. Frankie, when I was young Smokey the bear taught us kids about forest fires. I never forgot. He wore a ranger outfit. On signs everywhere roadside. T y Frankie.
lovely photography. thank you for naming the birds. can you name more of the wild flowers please? I did recognize the white campion but none of the smaller flowers. always love the animals and how lovingly you care for them.
Another beautiful watch. So lovely watching the wild flowers dance about in the breeze. Birds are singing, and fury friends are loving it. Apart from the hen. I do hope she gets better. I'm sure she was enjoying the special attention ❤ dude I hope ur feel better soon. Ribs are tricky to heal. Unfortunately you need to take a breath and do less hard graft 😊 love watching your posts the journey is awesome and I'm greatfull for you guys sharing ❤️ thanx 😁
You're a good animal keeper. The way the hen coos, I think she knows you're helping her. I love how the doggies and kitties all seem to be in harmony with the farm.
I had my first fire, in Portugal, just 10 days ago, used Luke & Sarah's video to registrant it,, it burned for one day, and smoked for four. I managed to get permission for a day where it was raining all day,, very difficult to get the fire going, in the rain. But got the job done.
Such a cute shot of the two cats sleeping in their little bed under the table. Albi and ? your cute black cat. Nuthatches walk upside down down the bark of a tree head first. I believe they are the only bird that can actually do that. Walk down the tree head first They're one of my favorite birds back here in the states. I lived in New York State up until about a year and a 1/2 ago. And now i'm in south carolina and I haven't seen any nuthatches down here. I miss them. I see Albi ans Diogo are buddies and play and chase together. So cute.
It’s wonderful to hear the birds singing …. the sounds of nature….even just the sounds of the tasks you’re doing …..it’s quite relaxing just watching you guys go about your daily chores ….and we certainly don’t mind watching it in slow/normal motion ….
When I was a child we had 16 acres in Texas. Every year we cleared the land and had bon fires. It's the natural way. We would roast hotdogs and marshmallows when the fires calmed down into embers. We all had our cowboy boots to stomp stray fire flare ups. Shovels were our tools in case is the fires got out of the dirt border our father made. It was good days and nights.
We live on 5 acres in rural Victoria, Australia and have to clear our land each year before summer fire season. We have dug a huge hole around 4 meter diameter and surrounded it with a clay wall mound which act as our fire pit. Ewins broken rib could do with a comfrey pultice...helps knit bones.
The hens and the other animals are so content sharing their lives with you. You take such good care of the little hen who was hurt by a fox. She looks quite hearty. she is drinking water and not depressed. The seeds! You and I have such a collection of them. I tried two years to grow coriander, but it is too hot and sunny here to grow it. I finally gave in and bought a hydroponic grower with a light. I have so much coriander and I am so pleased. You two work very hard to maintain your property. It is not for the faint hearted. The place I am renovating is a house on one level thank goodness and it has a garden. It will keep me on my toes. thanks for sharing a day in your journey with us.
Hi, Carissa and Iwan. I hope that Iwan’s rib heals quickly. Did your hen survive, Carissa? You did a great job of nursing her. The shot of your cats napping is so sweet. See you next week❤❤ P.S. I love all the nature shots😻
Thank you for a beautiful, calm and relaxing start to my Saturday morning. Great photography as always! Thanks for naming the birds we see, too. I hope Iwan’s broken rib heals very quickly! ❤️
We’ve never had so many chemtrails here in the Algarve the sky is full 😾 when we first came here blue skies all the time …. Broken ribs nasty hope you feel better soon 🌞🇵🇹🌻
Poor Darwin, she's looking very sorry for herself!! 😞 Sounds like she had a lucky escape!! Two lucky escapes in fact, because the blue dye stops the other chickens from attacking her!! 🤥 Hope she gets better very soon. Also hope that Iwan's cracked or broken rib gets better soon, too!! Wendy x
I love the fact things are left out in the open without any / much fear of them being nicked. I live in Johannesburg and you simply cannot grasp how much that feeling of security or trust is worth. Almost priceless. Your vidz are some of the most relaxing I have come across.
We had a hen with a lot of skin ripped off her chest by a fox, she recovered really well and did not seem too bothered after a day or two . We also used the blue spray.
Yes Carissa the hoopoe is the mark of spring in my area here in Extremadura, similar to the cuckoo, and I heard my first hoopoe last week, early morning whilst laying in bed, it made me very happy. Keep up the excellent work you are both doing, it's very inspiring...... Gosh I hope my spelling of the birds is correct...... Please correct me if I'm wrong......
What you and Ewin are doing is awesome and I really admire you both for your resilience and persistence. Please forgive me for being pedantic (retired Geography teacher, so can't help myself): El Nino is when you have an unseasonal dry spell. La Nina (pronounced La Ninya) is when you have unseasonal wet weather. The two tend to alternate; thus, while you are experiencing La Nina, a country/countries at the opposite side of the world, will be experiencing an El Neno. For example, in Australia when we are enjoying La Nina (because we are usually grateful for extra rain, as long as it does not develop into prolonged, damaging flooding as has eventuated most recently in our northern states), across the oceans in countries say in South America, or Africa, they usually undergoing an El Neno.
Lovely video. Really appreciate the birds. I looked up the azure-winged magpie. How handsome! Glad you’ve been able to nurse your chicken back to health. I’m sure Iwan will get an earful of comments so I won’t pile on. :)
This, for me, was THE most enjoyable one you guys have done so far. Love the 'animalias' I follow a couple of Portuguese RUclipsrs and I cannot actually believe that your homestead is the 3rd to be struck by chicken attacking foxes/dogs. Shock is the worst, always, for us and for the animals. With your calming energy I'm certain you chookie will be fine. Thank you
Thank you for the very relaxing video …… it’s wonderful to watch how deeply you care for your animals ….. and this is very obvious in how happy they are and in the way they interact with each other and yourselves …..also it’s nice to hear the natural sounds of daily life (no background music) …makes it feel that we are actually there in person …cheers from Australia
I find it so therapeutic watching people garden 😆I can't wait to see how hot those chilis get. Well done on another awesome video guys. I hope the hen gets well soon. Much love guys 👍♥
Clarissa - what about a large steel drum to burn the brush or dig a permanent pit lined with stone? I bet Iwan would be up for some more stone work by tomorrow!🥴😍🇨🇦
Great relaxing video. Life seems to be at a different pace with you! It’s lovely to see all the interactions between all the animals. Hope Euan is recovering from the injury bench. As is always the case it’s never the ideal time to pick up an injury!
Hope poor Darwin gets better soon. Good tip you gave us with the water hose by the fire and putting a circle of wet water around the fire area. Hope Iwan gets better soon.
Thank you for another lovely video🌸 On another note, Carissa, I received my Gingko tee today. It’s a beautiful rendition, and a very nice shirt. Thanks lovey❤️ Iwan, sorry about the ribs, take care❤️
Great film footage loving the wild flowers getting to see them before you soon strim the grasses Hope Iwan recovering along side Darwin & kept busy sewing seeds See you next week
❣️I love watching your lovely videos - your projects, progress, Frankie, Diego, kitties and animal farms. ❤All your videos are so entertaining and informative! Hope Ewin and Darwin are feeling much better 🫶✨️
Good morning from Colorado! We had 26 inches of snow day before yesterday, so I thoroughly understand the joys of an El Nino. 🙄 I'd like to get started on prepping for Spring, but I think I have to wait a bit. Mess: all those things you don't need until after you've gotten rid of them, or those things you keep moving from place to place because you know you'll need them "someday". Lol! 😂 A controlled bonfire before it becomes dangerous beats a fire hazard in summer. You might want to consider digging a fire pit. Dig a patch of ground about 3 feet down and about 6-8 feet around, line it with sand and surround with rock. It can make a nice BBQ grill too. Have you ever tried beets in a raspberry vinagrette? I can vouch for a yummy summer salad! Have a good week! Blessed Be!
5:00 not el nino, its cloud seeding/haarp, its happening all over uk/europe/world it's getting colder and wetter here in midlands uk end ofapril its really cold/wet spring is defo late
Lovely video! Really enjoyed the pace. It feels like we are there with you guys showing us your gorgeous home! How Darwin feels better soon and Iwan as well! Maybe keep off futebol for a bit! I have noticed you really soak the soil! I’m going to do that more because mine keep getting quite dry! Happy planting!! ❤❤❤

Pruning grapes, leave two buds from current year growth.
It’s cool how different regions use different techniques, there’s a vineyard close by which uses the guyot method and they save 6 buds!
so gentle with your chicken ❤❤❤

I had to laugh when I saw the chickens scurrying around in the background with the hail. Best of luck to your poorly one.
Mahalo, great episode!!! 😊😊😊 sending hugs from Maui. I still have nightmares about fire.😢😢
Dig a pit and make biochar with your cut branches
I wish you could find a 6x6 Polaris to run around on the farm, with a dump bed, for gathering brush and stuff, it would make life a whole lot easier.
Another comment: I really like the man that comes & helps you-he’s great!
Lovely to hear the birds singing , the music is so relaxing , wow lots of seeds , hope the chicken gets better soon .

Let everyone who fusses about you burning pitch in and buy them a big chipper. Carissa would love that for her garden.
My apologies for my 'sound' complaint. I've solved the problem on my end. So sorry!
