DIY Disneyland Adventureland Lights - Enchanted Tiki Bar Skull Pole Decoration Idea

- We make old Disneyland park Adventureland entrance tiki lights with the skull staffs or skulls on poles for this DIY theme decoration idea. This time they will be tiki bar lights made with fake plaster skull decorations like you see at Disneyland. These props are inspired by the classic Disneyland Adventure entrance area and can be used for Halloween decoration or tiki bar lights set around the backyard. Watch as we build a Enchanted Tiki Room & Jungle Cruise inspired head hunter skull light post prop. This DIY tiki bar lighting Disney decoration is similar to what you see in the Adventureland entrance at Disneyland. Just under the new Adventureland sign located at the Disneyland park are several skulls on poles decorated with masks, shields, spears, and other really weird things located in the Land. You can't miss them as you do a walkthrough tour past the Dole Whip stand and Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Disneyland Resort brings our family so much joy so we decided to start making several items from Disneyland to enjoy at our home. In this Disneyland construction update video we modify some old rusty cheap lanterns from our Halloween displays and paint a wooden post to look like a giraffe skin. We then attach the new lights to the post using hemp rope. We then add a plaster hand painted skull to the top with some colored raffia grass. We love pulling inspiration from the park to make future fun projects. Even the Bazaar gift shop decorations and tropical imports are a great source of decorating inspiration and great Adventureland secrets for theming an area this style. We also love the Indiana Jones Ride and the Old Swiss Family Robinson, I mean Tarzan Treehouse for decor inspiration. We wanted to theme up our kids room and outdoor area with Tiki themed Jungle Cruise Ride Adventureland stuff so we decided to make some DIY Disney inspired decor and props. Disneyland's Adventureland is the best and is my favorite land so here is a secret DIY to make your backyard feel a bit more like Disneyland. Now we just need the background music loop for the Adventureland area in Disneyland to play. This was a super fun fast and easy to do. We hope you enjoy and share this video thanks for watching!

Oh. My. Gosh. My favorite theming of all time. This is going to be so much fun to watch. I have loved your creativity for many years now. So nice to see you all do this video! I'm glued to the screen! xoxo you guys!
Thanks Scott 😊
You are such an awesome dad for a kid to have.
Awe thank you, he's an awesome kid to have. 🥰
Would love some haunted mansion theming in the future...
Oh there's always room for one more ... video like that...foolish mortals 🤣
Hollywood Haunter 😂
Would love to see some Disney Tiki Room stuff!
Wow, I enjoyed that project. And that basket of skulls. Some with bolts ;)
What I love about your videos is that even if the topic doesn't appeal to me, I still watch because of all the new little tricks and tips!( and of course you guys are hilarious! )Cubby of skulls. Hysterical! Thanks for the videos. Harrison is a lucky little guy!!
Chris you and the family have a true gift I appreciate you guys sharring your talents with everyone.😁
Seems a bit Creepy to me, with all the masks, and eye's stairing at you!👀👀👀👀💀☠💀☠
@@stardustgirl2904 creepy cool 😎
@@MONSTERMISFITS Thanks Vick we really appreciate that. The skulls are creepy to some for sure but our son sure loves the haunted creepy stuff. Not sure where he picked that up from.😜
@@HollywoodHaunter It's hard to tell haha he's going to be a master at props when he gets a little older 😎.
I've been watching your videos since before Harrison was born. It's hard to believe he's so big already. Watching your videos are always so helpful & good inspiration. Thinking of tackling my first ever facade this year. With all this extra time on my hands, I may as well make use of it. Hope you all are staying safe & well. 💜
He is growing up quick. I hope you enjoy your facade project what theme are thinking? Thanks 😊
He is such a good helper!
He is such a big help 😁
Would LOVE to see more adventure land projects! I’d love to add stuff to theme a tiki bar!
Thanks, I agree Tiki bars are so much fun.
Awesome! You can always dye the raffia with some food coloring if you still want it to be red. Water + red food coloring, dip the raffia then let it air dry. It'll get stiff again.
Thanks that's a great idea! 😁
That turned out amazing!!!
A great conglomeration of references! Steel wool will knock the shine off poly and give it the fine timeworn scratches. I love the orange rafia grass! Awesome project!
It definitely looks just like the entrance of AdventureLand indeed!! Fabulous job done Chris. I always love watching you doing these kinds of projects there. Plus its great to have the tools to do it all.
Thank you and yes its nice to have the tools but the only problem is I can never find them cause I'm to messy.
I missed you guys love your videos and your family
Awsome imagination Chris can't wait to see more builds !
What a great project! Awesome job you guys! Stay safe!
U guys r killin it with content lately! Thankyou!👍
Awesome video as usual. And what a great dad letting your little helper do whatever and you just laugh! Kudos man.
look it's Chris..... lol... that is awesome.... HAPPY EASTER!!!
Not sure how I missed this project, but it's awesome!! Nice work!
Lucky little man Harrison!! Chris, Jeana, spot on job, it’s gorgeous. Miss you guys, be well and watch out for head~hunters ☠️☠️
Thanks Sandy we miss you guys too very much.
Nice! I’ve been following haunters to get ideas for tiki bar decorating. 👍
I love that Harrison isn’t scared of anything 😂
that is going to be epic!!!
cannot wait to see the
rest of your props for the
little man's room!! God bless
Thanks Edie 😊
Love your videos, been following you a couple years now. I saw this one and when I went to big lots before Halloween last year they had solar lights that looked like they would work perfect for this build. My sister is crazy for Disneyland and she needed lighting in her front yard. She doesnt have exterior electricity in that area so it was always really dark. I got my friend with a wood shop to help me cut and connect the posts and build the stand. After Xmas I went to her house and used the paint she had used on her door wall to make a matching color scheme giraffe design on the posts. Had gotten the perfect skull to use for the top from Spirit also during Halloween, Tied a bunch of raffia under the skull. Used chains to hang the lights and wrap those with rope. wrapped a couple other places with rope as well. (Bonus, there is leftover rope for my Halloween Pirate display) Wish I could share a pic with you, Thanks so much for the inspiration, my sister loves her gift.
So Awesome! We're happy to hear your project turned out so well. If you have Instagram or Facebook feel free to tag us we would love to see. Thank you for writing us.
Love it... SO COOL! Cant wait to see what you create next.
This is perfect! I will be watching any other adventureland stuff, for sure! My daughter's room is adventureland themed too!
Thanks, ya we made a few replica signs from the attractions located in Adventureland if your intrested. We are still working on his room but the project kinda took a back seat for now because of his huge Ghostbuster firehouse playhouse we are making at the moment.
Love the results! I can't believe how big your son is getting!
It turned out awesome
Turned out great. Looking ahead t the future maybe this can be themed with skeledor. Lol
You did an amazing job!!
This is great. My son's room is also Adventureland themed. We even made a working Tiki Room bird using an old Fur Real Friends parrot and a Raspberry Pi. Let me know if you want the details, Chris.
That is so awesome and I may have to do that. We are not exactly sure what we are doing as far as the whole set up but we are thinking about a bed at the moment so once I get further along I may come bug you for it. Thanks Ryan 👍
Another beautiful piece of art.♥️
This turned out great! I may have to steal this idea for my tiki-themed display next year.
You should make a few of them 👍
That looks amazing!!
Great job guys, Now I need one of these for my Jungle of a Garden
I'm sure it would be great in the garden.
LOVE THE VIDEOS!
Looks amazing!
This was so cool. Gave me so many ideas
Love it, your workspace is legit!!
And super unorganized hahaha I always laugh when I notice other maker channels that are all clean and nice while they make stuff. Not mine 😂
OMG! I think it turned out amazing, can't wait to see more from this Adventure xD
Awesome as always!! ❤️
What an awesome project...very exciting indeed. I've always loved Adventure Land and can't wait to see what you're building next. Perhaps a jungle boat ride in your bathtub complete with animatronic hippos! :-D
Hahaha how cool would that be Jeana would never get out of the tub. Hippos are her favorite. Thanks Dirk 👍
Wow
Just wow
👍👍👍
This is great! Love seeing your process.
Thanks Jasper it was cool to work something a little different than work stuff and feeling inspired to create. It sure makes a difference doesn't it.
Like ALL other projects i can ONLY say again : REALLY AWESOME .
I could like see you 2 ALL day long building things , im probaly NOT the only 1 dough haha .
My favourite project you did is by far THE WESTERN GOLD MINE area for halloween you know , that 1 is the 1 i keep watching over and over .
Greetings from The Netherlands
Thank you! We loved working on that project as well that is such a fun theme to create.
Allways good to have two little helping Hands, nice to see the beginning of Harrisons new Adventure Land. More from this please. Greets and Hugs to your three, from Munich MARI🎃
I am in love this project. I want to make the lanterns but I know I wouldn't be able to do it. Don't have the tools or the talent like you. I collect lanterns and I have been wanting one just like the one you made. Thank you for sharing this awesome project.
Thanks Shell I will be sure and let you know if I happen to come across any real ones which are better I'm sure. 😁
Hollywood Haunter it’s WONDERFUL, looks just like the real one
Superb work Chris! For some reason I watched this series in reverse, but it’s still amazing! Whenever I think- I wonder how he’s gonna... you zip in with the perfect answer/solution/tool to make it work great. I’m guessing that drill press is worth it’s weight in gold for you! Plus I’m so impressed by all the things you have laying around, no need to go shopping! The benefits of being life-long haunters!
I will admit- every time I see your yard, I hope for a glimpse of the witch cottage... is it still around?
Thanks Kerri 👻👍 Yes we still have a little of it left laying around. Some of the pieces started falling apart so we trashed some of it. I may try and fix some day.
So cool! Maybe you can build a swiss family robinson tree house haha. Or a mini jungle cruise boat.
Oh man the swiss family tree would be soooo awesome! We are considering the Jungle boat for his bed so if we do you know we will post a vid. Thanks Donny
Very cool
Love this!
WOW, Chris! This is awesome! My favorite part was how you up cycled the lights!! Do you guys have a video on how to make the aging solution?
We sure do! ruclips.net/video/nuioNBz0mII/видео.html
LOOOOOOOVE IT
This is so awesome!
Thank you!!
Freaking love it! You guys are so cool! I think my favorite so far is how you used the hot glue gun and combined it with the air compressor and made spider webs!!!! 😍
Thanks JayJay we have been wanting to make an upgraded cobweb gun for a while now so if we do we will definitely post a video.
@@HollywoodHaunter That would so freaking awesome! We love everything you guys do but that was brilliant! So is everything else.
Your son has to be the luckiest kid on the planet. I had the though about a Haunted Mansion themed room for the Grandson (born on Halloween), but my daughter was worried that CPS might become involved should he have friends for a sleep over. Just kidding? I guess it has been too many years since the Addams Family was on TV.
Take care and thanks for sharing, Regards
Hahaha thank you and we know what you mean we go around and hide a lot of the Halloween props Harrison plays with before normal company comes to visit so their kids don't get scared or weirded out.
@@HollywoodHaunter It's might even be worse here in the Southern USA. Not much Trick-R-Treating going on, but a lot of haunted house attractions. Please keep up your work. I know that I've watched many of your Vid's at least a dozen times. Also as April 3oth-May 1st is Walpurgis Night, or as I say "The Other Halloween" it is more inspiration I hope. Take Care and much thanks.
Regards
Another great project, I always look forward to seeing the next thing you’re going to come up with. Adventure land is one of my favorites, I hope to see a few more Jungle Cruise style jokes from you all!
Yes! we love the cheezy ones for sure. 🤣
WOW.......
Super Early rar out Mann!
Love this! Thank you for all the great projects. Question do you have a video on wiring the dimmer and making the lights work like at Disney land?
There is a flickering controller from simflame that works great but we just used a sound activated lightning machine for this.
You kicked ass!
Saw horses are begging for a horse head and tail!
Hahaha yes
Awesome! How many days did this take? Keep up the inspiring work!
Thanks, We finished the project in couple days and it took a good part of a third day to edit the footage.
Ammmmmazing
those skulls are unbelievable! Where do u get them?
Thanks we made them, they are ones we made with one of our skull molds from our older "music video" making a skull mold video series.
How do you make the vinager and steel wool mixture?
Here is our method ruclips.net/video/nuioNBz0mII/видео.html
What exactly do you call that type of lantern? I am trying to find two cheap ones to do nearly the exact same project: I want to make solar porch lights in the same sort of nautical style. Any idea where I can get a couple cheap ones... it's ok if they are broken or damaged.
I always see them at army surplus stores and I think they may be at walmart in the camping section. I think they are just gas lanterns that you fill with fuel and should be under $10 or so. You may be able to get them off amazon too.
Does anyone know where we can get these plaster skulls from?
Wow Chris this turned out amazing!!!!! It was super cool to see your whole process and how elaborate and thoughtful it was!!!!
Thank you, these are fun types of projects to make I just wish I finish and edit them quicker so I could make them more often.
Looks amazing!
