Headset cable routing, a screen water access door as a headtube badge, a battery connector that doesn't fit and pops off every 10 minutes and it rattles like rocks in a tin can kicked down a staircase...... sign me up!!🤣😂

Regarding the battery rattle and plug… how do things like this get through their own testing? It baffles me how many brands send bikes out to publications having not identified and rectified issues like this themselves 🤯

@@10100110101 nah they are pretty cool, well at least if you live in the mountains. Their cost... well yeah they have become a bit insane.

Good review Will . Thise faults you encountered are unacceptable considering the money forked out . This is not the 1st time I've heard about rattling batteries , it makes a good case for non-removeable / solid mounted batteries . There is the charging inconvenience factor but I'll take that inconvenience over an annoying rattle any day

      Thanks for the feedback Darryl!
Agreed about the battery mounting. We've had rattling issues with the Bosch battery on the Trek Rail, and I've also heard of similar issues with the Ibis Oso. I'm sure there are other examples out there.
Personally I'm with you - I'd happily have an e-MTB with a more secure bolt-in battery. However, I understand there are people who need an e-MTB with a removable battery. Some folks don't have a charge point in the place that their bike is stored, and those who are racing like to have the ability to quickly swap batteries.
At least there's a relatively quick and easy fix for the Husqvarna Mountain Cross, but as mentioned in the video, it would be nice if it didn't need to be fixed in the first place.

Have they heard of a latch or locking tabs for the connector? Like literally almost anything else that we dont want to come unplugged?

I’m looking at the Mountain Cross 2024 and the Heckler 2024, same 801 motor but I’m getting a lot of feedback that the heckler battery is not that great on range. How did you find the battery on the husky mountain cross and what brand is it? Thank you for any information it would be helpful.

Will do you think it could handle fox 38 170mm? Yes there is the enduro model but its alloy frame only.

In Europa la MC6 viene commercializzata con freni XT 4 pistoncini, cambio e manettino XTR. I Problemi di spegnimento sono gli stessi, anche dopo aver montato la modifica nel coperchio della batteria.

I used to have a Mountain Cross from 2019, may be they improved since then but the workmanship and finish was quite poor.

If i ever had to stick velcro myself to a $12k mtb, to stop some rattling noise, i would never buy the bike in the first place.

Husqvarna has told us that its e-MTBs will be available across a combination of independent bike shops and a select range of motorcycle dealers. We don't have the specifics on that just yet, but you can expect there to be more announcements from Husqvarna in the near future. [Wil]

If you ever wondered what's keeping your trail bike from being updated....it is because the engineers are spending more time making new e-bikes 😂

I have a conspiracy theory that dirt bike manufacturers are releasing EMTBs to make their dirt bikes seem reasonably priced in comparison! Yamaha is the exception, at least they actually make an e-Bike drive train themselves, the price seems less eye-watering, and from a quick look at one at a bike shop the quality seems to be proper Yamaha.

Can’t believe the motorcycle division created this. Such great moto’s but total crap e bike, 12k, heavy, bad geo, not tested faults. Had to use a Shimano motor, sad attempt to steal share.

Name is the same but not related to the Moto line at all other than a Parent Company. Built in their own Factory.

A YT Decoy is a much better deal, way better spec. 8k€ for a bike with 150€ brakes, nop.

For a full carbon e-MTB with Fox Factory suspension, the MC6 is actually quite well-priced amongst the competition.
It's significantly cheaper than the Scott Patron eRide 900 Tuned ($15,499 AUD) and the Orbea Wild M10 ($15,599 AUD), despite the Husqvarna MC6 coming with a similar level of components. You’re also getting nicer components than the Trek Rail 9.8 XT ($12,499 AUD) and Specialized Levo Comp Carbon ($13,400 AUD).
We’d say the overall package is comparable to the Merida eOne-Sixty 9000 ($11,699 AUD) and Norco Sight VLT C1 ($12,699 AUD), though it's worth noting that those two bikes use the older Shimano EP8 motor and display, compared to the new EP801 system on the Husqvarna.
Of course there are other key differences between all of those e-MTBs and the Husqvarna, so your personal preferences will dictate which offers better perceived value.

@@FlowMountainBikeRUclips the level of the components is not relevant. It’s the “base” price for a brand with ZERO history in the field of mountain bikes.
