This video never ceases to amaze me, how they come back in on time after Dale does his thing is beyond me, such weird timing but it hits so hard.
When you play together for as long as they have, timing becomes 2nd nature. They have become one unit 😀
Being a drummer myself Dale is one of the big mysteries to me. These odd times and all the pull drive me nuts! Listen to Hooch or this here. That dude's an alien. 👽
Dale's restraint to maintain a reasonable volume for the van is palpable.
How awesome are The Melvins. I hope younger kids love these guys just as much as us old heads do ..
20 years old here man. Cheers
We do
I am 26 and a lady I bet I’m a right special snowflake 😂hahaaa liked them for a few years too
This band blows
13.
lol, dale on a tiny drum kit is so funny but he still kills it
The Sludge pioneers...
overwhelming performance... three guys make more intelligent noise than any other band...
Steve fits right in, in my opinion, he's weird, but likeable, when you produce a tone like that, you can pull whatever face you like
Steve rules!!! I went to a Melvins show (I had been to many beforehand) once when I did not know he had joined. He was antics all at the beginning and I was like....dang...they have a fill in bass player and he is goofing up this show for me....then after a bit I realized that he is an absolutely perfect fit for this band and an amazing musician all his own....I am an absolute Steve fan now and have checked out his other bands as well. He was in his first band a like 11 years old with his brother, pretty darn cool.
Holy moly, it's The Melvins!
Holy fuck it's Skankhunt! Happy 420 though
Man that was tight. I think these "Melvins" characters just might be able to make a career out of this...
I don't trust anyone who doesn't like Melvins.
How does such a slow paced song make me want to kick ass? Makes me feel like a warrior.
hahahaha. good one .
Because we have always been mistaking speed for power, when it is not. Power is power, and there is more of it in this slow song, than in many faster ones...
@@pope88fb “Power is power”
That’s deep, bro.
Because melvins 😎
Steve acts like a doofus but the shit sounds good so he can stay in my book. Good shit.
Dude yes! Melvins still killing it
The Melvins are the greatest band in the history of music.
I am slowly but surely completely agreeing with you.
They're up there
i am sure there are many bands
and there will be many other great bands in the history of music
Woahhh there they are good but that is saying wayyyy to much my friend
And Miley Cyrus is AWESOME!!!!! Not...
Saw them live last night, didn't listen to them in the 90's, damn, I missed out! Better late than never!
Melvins deserve way more credit.
The Melvins are great to play when I'm doing any kind of artwork. Their music has a sort of theatrical element to it, the same is true with Tool.
This might be my favorite Melvins album.
Melvins plus beer= bliss
that Buzzo rockin the SG
if you thumbs this song down then seriously just get the hell out of here and never come back.
This is the greatest thing I have ever heard/watched in a van.
Dats sum heavy shit man!! Amazing how "loose", yet incredibly 'tight" the band plays.
I was going to click away from this one but it's sludge was so sticky I could not click free... Cool van.
i was caught in your magnet tar pit trap...
the drum cam is on point
Out of this world...perfect feel
melvins- best stoner music from non stoners lol
Melvin's are BAD ASS MUTHA FUCKAS I drove me X batshit with Hudini in the 90s 😂😂😂 she said if I hear that fucking record one more time I'm leaving so I grabbed a Budweiser , loaded up a fat bowl of CHRONIC and cranked that shit up !!! She finally left in 02 and I'm still jammin the shit outta these fellas . Good riddance and damn good rock n roll 🤘🤘
Since I´ve heard the Houdini Album back in the 90ies , they´re my Alltime Heroes!!
One of the best Bands in the whole wide World!!!
It's good to see that these dudes have been rocking out since 1983. Also, they still have hair without bald spots. Futhermore Steve has been playing since 1978
steven is so huggable.
Great as always, love these guys
Massive, as always!
Steven needs to be Lead Bass Player always foreverytime.
Greenaresy ....the new bass player is a fucking space cadet!
No, Jared was damn good too
He's the perfect guy for the band
Foreverytime
He's one of my 5 favorite things in punk rock.
You don't see Buzz playing SGs too often
I've only seen him with Silvertone, Les Pauls, and EGC/Travis Bean... Kinda threw me off too haha
sadly
or Not even Custom Black Les pauls any more
just those Aluminum fucking guitars
@@GothicXlightning what’s wrong with the Aluminum guitars? They’re cool
I think I read somewhere about him using an Ibanez SG custom copy in the beginning of the Melvins, but don’t quote me on that.
@@smalllhank Theres a show from '93 somewhere on youtube (forgot the exact date) but its at some college in california where he's using that guitar.
From the little bits we've seen of it, its pretty cool looking. Also the aluminum guitars he uses are really cool.
thank you! .....everytime a good ride, baby!
Beautiful
Beautiful & heavy! 🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘
AWESOMELY PERFECT
Dale is Gawd....
OMG this is it!
greatest song ever
Sick! 👌
YESSSSSS
amazing
growing old gracefully since 1983.
Melvins great!
The tightest band ever on earth
Tight sludge.
You old farts in the comments still kickin? Lol, I'm 23 but I had a smoke pot head 40yr old rock looking dude as a mentor almost and he gave me this knowledge of music now I forever have this music as a memory of him...(He's not dead btw we just went our separate ways) lol
Steven bringing the charismatic pizzazz!
Heavy and catchy, proto-sludge rock. DA Godfather's of sludge,Respect!!!!!!!
GODFATHER of Grunge
Tons of bands today influenced by these guys ..... legends
🔥🔥🔥
Dude give it up for Dale on that tiny kit! Amazing
So Awesome haha
I'm no expert, but I love playing on little jazz drum kits like that.
god damn i say, god damn! gnarliest shit ive seen all week
I can hear the Black Sabbath influence in Melvins music.
Pretty snazzy with all that Orange in the van!
spaccare sempre....
6:03 aaaaah!!!!

Yo yo yo.YO
I'd jam in the van any day
Hahaha, son of Necrobutcher on bass? I'm in.
So fucking badass!
Like the Melvins.....
Steven FTW! Honestly with him in the band (and seeing this) I'm twice as stoked to see em next month!
Waiting to see them in October in the UK for the very first time!!, very excited about it! Especially with Steve in - he's a great character and excellent bass player!
I saw them last summer and that show was a blast.
Please come to Maine!!
The Mentors rule! R.I.P. Eldon "El Duce" Hoke
sUPER cLUSTER!
Goddamn.
Gotta appreciate that Buzz was noodling with God of Thunder in the intro.
So people here are basically saying "He's not serious enough to rock." Seriously? (*669th like, so close. Still felt cool.)
yo that guy is in redd kross?!
👌
BWOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW
Steven's so fun to watch, also THAT TONE
the video doesnt capture it, but that van was set to interstellar overdrive. oven decide. motorly
Fuck that's good
I wish we got to hear Melvins version of God of Thunder by Kiss, the teaser before Hag Me wasn't enough.
That's a big-ass van.
“The Mentors should’ve covered this song.” Ya damn right, Steeeeve.
I love how Dale looks like he's just about to have a stroke while playing drums.
“so hiT it” - Dale Crover
This is fucking awesome lol
Some of the comments ere are fwkin hilarious lol .. The Melvins! make you wana go silly..
Dale looked so Trump on some shots, like 2:40.
Jenya Miller you don't fucking ruin it
Holy hell you're right
just less orange
@@glasstubes1 and larger hands.
greasy Grunge! now this is the Melvins!
It's sludge metal. Grunge is just a lame catchphrase invented by 90's media to pigeonhole the Seattle scene.
+Sam Vile FYI, 99.9% sludge metal bands cite the Melvins as the progenitors of sludge. Well, they are at the end of the day very diverse and influenced sludge, drone, doom, stoner and plethora of experimental sub-sub genres.
Sam Vile Ive just always thought of them as doom metal mostly because theyre like the semi pioneers of the genre. I dont doubt that they sparked a bunch of new sub genres. Melvins has always been the most unconventional band Ive ever heard, even more than the black metal bands that came out in the 90s
That is definitely a really small and high-pitched crash cymbal for Dale to play :(
Great performance tho, as usual from this geniuses.
HijoAgrio Meinl tends to flourish in making those.
Stephen you have to burn that t-shirt!!
buzz is a beast
Dale fucking rules
steven is great, the man can move,
