I've stood at the edge of the stage and felt the full force of those double kicks, nearly blew my hat off. Had some Big Business to process then got some king fuzzo in my eye just before some big guy tried to take my spot at the edge of the stag. Ah, that quad drum pushing the air before his tendons couldn't keep up with my resistance. Im older now admittedly so much better for every Melvins song I've ever heard. This set is unbelievable! THANK ALL OF YOU!
Not many guitarists can play a single note over and over again (during “If I had an Exorcism”) and make it sound super badass, raw, and even emotional, like King Buzz.
First time I saw Melvin's was 1990. Saw them maybe 15 times over the years, bounced a few Olympia Wa shows... I had no Idea that id enjoy a long life back then, and I'm gonna take this fucking legendary music beyond the grave when I go. Also, the Lorax (lori, the original bassist on bullhead) needs alot of credit here.
I saw the BULLHEAD "tour" in Eugene Oregon at WOW Hall with the Lorax on bass ! still to this day the slowest , loudest , and heaviest show I have ever seen all the buzz about town was "oh Melvins are playing slow now" I swear a lot of people left in disbelief however those that stuck around had our brains melted and eardrums blown
@Mariexxme ... many many thx for this gem and all the others! great work and edits... you captured the raw energy very well... amazing documentary of an amazing performance... and yes to me also a great period when they played complete albums ... love it ❤️
I saw this at paradise club Boston! One of my favorite shows ever! I remember sweet leaf cough on extended loop there too. Fucking incredible show that night. 2 of their best albums.
Zack, that's sweet, right? If you're talking about around 34ish minutes, pretty sure he's getting feedback from his amp...sounds like he may also have a delay effect going. -Zack
The entire set is absolute fire and oh so tight!!! Special mentions are needed for It’s shoved, If I had an exorcism, Anaconda, YOUR BLESSENED ❤, Revolve and At the stake. 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨☠️☠️☠️🔥🔥🔥♥️♥️♥️
Which dude is Melvin? And what's with Buzzy's hair? Dude combs it with an eggbeater? That being said, I'm still listening to this shit, and every now and then I kinda like it - it's starting to grow on me........
Nice how one is left-handed and the other is right-handed; and theyre both playing basically the same kits and know precisely when the other goes out of unision/lock. *dales kit has cowbell *jared has secret cymbal
This must one of the greatest performances of "Boris" ever seen
Came here to say this. I hope they start playing it again
I've seen them 20 times since 93...I may agree...seen them do all their old albums
Boris likes a lot of little things to kick
@@kevinyountrevzupak8686 same….nothing like Dale testing the kick drum before the set, and having your chest explode 😂

Thanxs dude
Yes, Sweet leaf ( Sabbath 3rd album ) Masters of Réalité.
The voice and singing style of buzzo suits the music perfectly😮
Exactly! His vocals blend in like an instrument

Saw them at cbgb back in the day , blew me away! Fan ever since
Dave from Maui. I’m 57 & no plans of cuttin’out any time soon. I have ONE thing on my bucket list though. I gotta hear&see the MELVINS LIVE!!!!

Something about that part always makes me think of Fleetwood Mac...except...better.
@@asabovesobelow8055 fleetwood mac makes me think of Stevie Nicks rectally boofing cocaine. lol
@@asabovesobelow8055always reminded me of The Chain song for sure
still my favorite line up to perform playing my favorite recorded era.
This is the Melvins I remember! Live!
The BEST vesrion of It’s Shoved
100%, they absolutely killed it on that one
I was just thinking the same!
I’m jealous of Kurt Cobain, for getting to carry these guy’s cabinets and road cases…
He wasn’t their roady , that’s a myth. They were just chilling, and they were good friends ya know. Kurt was so small, he wasn’t carrying anything
@@nickfanzo Kurt was a lesbian
@@natasakenji5543 since he was male, I don’t see how that’s possible

Killer show, love this period when they play entire albums. Thanks for uploading!
This is crazy! I like this more than any of their recorded albums!
I love this. Thanks for sharing ! I have no clue how long I’ve been listening to Melvins, but it’s gotta be a cool 20 years, with one live show.
Un énorme merci à tous ceux qui ont fait en sorte que ce concert incroyable ait pu être a la disposition de nous tous. 🤩🤩🤩👍💥💯🔥⚡⚡
Un plaisir … quel souvenir!
Thank you very much for this great show.

She is Shirley Temple's granddaughter, fun fact.
Nostra Fn Damus, she is actually Shirley Temple's dughter, not grandaughter.
@@seanmurrell85naa...sorry son but it's actually Shirley Temple herself bangin those riffs...

Zodiac might just be the best song ever written 😎
It just might
I know I'm having trouble stopping with it
And all this time I thought it was just me.
I saw this at paradise club Boston! One of my favorite shows ever! I remember sweet leaf cough on extended loop there too. Fucking incredible show that night. 2 of their best albums.
I have only seen Melvins as 3 piece. Would have loved to have caught one of the double drummer extravaganzas.
Saw them with the big biz guys six times and it is phenomenal. Saw them with the Pinkus and Steve McDonald on double bassists tour with Helms Alee.
I saw them as a codpeice .they where rather bloody fecking goodski
they did double bass also
need to combine that shht
Merveilleux, splendide!
MISSISSIPPI QUEEN!!!!!!!
legendary. thanks so much for uploading
I'm here for It's Shoved and Revolve. Not afraid to admit.
So under appreciated.
Went to both nights of these shows in London
Super concert au trabendo !

Amazing, thanks
Would love to see a bigbiz Melvins reunion

Boris still sounds epic.
Man, Boris sounds so brutal live
I skipped straight to stoner witch, don't worry I'll go back and listen to the beginning later

How is the bassit getting those ghostly sounds during the end of boris its so cool
Because Jared is a badass

Melvin. Jamming. Great. Show
I want the Melvins to sing me happy birthday

With cody and jared, in my opinion is the Best collaboration.
That was so fucking cool.
Now when people ask me "If you had a time machine what time would you go back to?"
REVOLVE!!
Yeah i love revolve live some southern texan sound to that riff. I love the bassist head rock in vid
Boris into Lividity is a nice choice.
Who’s the other drummer with Dale ?
Coady Willis (Big Business)
Saw them do this
Big business!
The Mandela effect is my self concluded explanation as to how and why I have never heard the Melvin's until 4 or 5 months ago?
holy shit. can't imagine getting into them again for the first time. you're lucky
Is it just me or is the bass almost completely inaudible during the second set?
"Needs more cowbell" is probably not a common shout out at a Melvins show...
Who is the second drummer?
Coady Willis (Big Business)
Stoner. Witch. Is the. Best. The. Melvin. Did. So.jamming
Which dude is Melvin? And what's with Buzzy's hair? Dude combs it with an eggbeater? That being said, I'm still listening to this shit, and every now and then I kinda like it - it's starting to grow on me........
36:15 Stoner Witch
Does anyone know why Jared has water bottles on his head?
I think he's being a giant robot/Transformer/Gundam.
It’s his way of getting the recycling message out. He usually mentions it at some point during the night..
Two drummers damn
Mysterious.
The guitar Buzz is playing costs like 3.000 usd :O :O :O
Look's like an Electrical Guitar Company guitar, Steve Albini played one too. Lovely bright sounding guitars!
So it is a mid range instrument.
And more bass is needed in the mix.
I forgot to get my pills!
I got to go down towwwwwnnnn!
Dale knows he can "call in sick" when there is another drummer like this ready to step in any time. And it's Melvins, not The Melvins.
Grungeeeeeeee
Heavy duty RnR!
2 drums¿?
4 drumstix!!
Yep youd like to think so 4?unless you had def Leppard drummer🥁🤣.
Nice how one is left-handed and the other is right-handed; and theyre both playing basically the same kits and know precisely when the other goes out of unision/lock.
