Constantine Most laptops mounting the high-powered quad-core cpus usually top at 90-99 degrees when under load (these are internal temperatures of the hardware, not external temperatures of the casing), though I had never heard of any going beyond 100, as I believe that's the maximum temperature indicated by the manufacturer.
I had a problem with my old laptop where the fan stopped working and the CPU just shuts down at 99C as to not fry it self. 103C is still unheard of. also the bottom casing is made out of aluminum so even if it's not the temperature of the exterior it will still be unbearable to put this thing on your lap at that kind of load which defeats the purpose of it being a 'lap'top.
Couldn't agree more re: thinness. Apple's obsession with thin is starting to seem a bit like anorexia. Not healthy, especially for the one "Pro" device they're still updating from time to time.
My late-2007 17" MBP was destroyed recently. For a replacement that meets my needs, I'm having to go back to the Unibody series (2009-2011) to even have a chance. The only alternative would be to turn a modern PC laptop into a Hackintosh - which is *hard* and still requires a working Mac of some kind as a starting point.
Most people here don't understand the engineering that was used behind that beautiful machine...I use my wife's macbook 2016 pro and it's great... the thinnest and most stunning aluminum body... the fine craftmanship and build quality not too mention the fine details that it has and you can see that they really care about their products these days. I'm not really bothered about the ports and all that nonsense.. and the touchbar? wow it really defines and set them apart from all other laptops these days.. That is why I ask my wife to have their company provide another one, and they did... so now it's sitting right beside my wonderful i7 6700k and dual gtx1080 with 64gb of RAM as a mousepad.... it's really better on top of my Corsair MM300 extended, with my logitech on top of it... what a sight to behold... Apple really innovates and they have captured mousepad technology with a bang
R&D really should do polls - I think most people agree with you. Meanwhile, manufacturers still think we want Laptops so thin you can bend with your bare hands.
because everything has to be cute, small, and thin to make girls happy these days. even small dicks. they like weak ass girly dudes now with small dicks and cant handle a real manly man anymore. feminism 2016 for u. idk what 2017 will bring. probably more shit. i hope trump fixes this.
1 year later and the industry still hasn’t switched to USB C. Apple made a laptop for 2040 and double the price to get inconvenienced. I’m buying a 2015 for this very reason. I need an HDMI, I need USB 3, I don’t own anything USB C. Even their own new iPhones Tennis and Tennis Max still come with USB-B cables 🙄
Yes, of course it's just my opinion. But Apple is trying to be a stylish brand and glowing logo, which is really bright in the dark is the opposite of stylish in my opinion.
Why on earth do people care so much about the light up logo? I understand the importance of aesthetics, but the logo does not make any difference to the person using the computer. They can't see the thing when using it!
I totally agree. Apple seems to have completely lost it after 2012. The graphical designers are in charge, and Tim Cook only cares about shareholder value. Steve Jobs would go on stage and explain himself why he wanted the new model. Tim can't articulate user desire and has no clue and it shows. Tim Cook is the Steve Balmer of Apple. I don't expect anything good and coherent until he leaves, which makes me really really sad. I have a 2011 MBP and a 2010 Mac Pro. Both I have upgraded to machines with nearly the performance of what Apple sells today, in almost 2017 !!! I would expect more RAM, better batteries, a much better NVIDIA GPU and more connectors, both for the Macbook Pro and the Mac Pro, to even consider them a Pro machine. I am really really disappointed in the 2013-2016 Apple.
I also disagree with you that Macs never had decent gaming GPU options. Between 2006 and 2013 they offered some of the best mobile GPUs in their laptops. Not a desktop version, but usually one of the best mobile ones.
What about Razorrrrrrr, they make laptops that more powerful than MacBooks and are cheaper, for example, the new Razor Blade has a GTX 1060 in a chassis the thickness of a dime
Completely agree on everything, but you missed one major complaint - the software experience. For the last several years it has been degrading steadily almost unnoticeably (if you use macs every day). The last completely stable version of mac OS that "just works" was snow leopard. Several years ago it was unthinkable for a mac to crash if you weren't using bad wraps or something of the sort and nowadays I have to restart my computer every day / couple of days depending on the OS version. It's pathetic and it's only getting worse! Been a mac user since 2007, was very hesitant about buying my 2014 top of the line MBP, but I decided to give Apple one last chance. I don't regret the purchase, but a week after buying I promised myself that this is the last apple computer that I'm buying ever (or at least until Tim Cook gets replaced with someone who cares less about profit margins and more about quality and user satisfaction).
By far one of the best reviews I have watched, no nonsense just personal experience. So many channels publish unboxing videos and so-called "reviews" that just state the obvious. We NEED more of this kind of reviews that offers things you won't know about until you have the product.
I disagree. The previous MacBook Pro is uncomfortably thick for wrists. The MacBook Air is great form factor. The new MacBook Pro is ok form factor. They shouldn't have exaggerated the battery life though.
Emir Tulumcu I picked up an iPhone St the display in the electronics store, tried to get round it for 3 minutes and then I decided that android is way more intuitive. Admittedly, I have been using android forever, but still.
I tried to switch to the flagship Galaxy. I went back to Iphone. The reason is that Android, while you it is more customizable, it can be jerky. It just seems quirky at times, especially when switching to phone and back to apps. Apple seems more reliable, more solid, works when I need it. It also integrates with the macbook. That's why I like Apple, their stuff just works.
Emir Tulumcu No they haven't, they've been bendable since the iPhone 6 and didn't fix the issue until the iPhone X, which in turn gets easily scraped. They've been easily breakable and iOS 11 is getting buggier and buggier. Plus Siri is absolute shit. Android has better multitasking, a better file system, and has a digital home button not requiring gestures. And phones running them have been totally outshining the iPhone 8 and X (even without the A11 Chip they perform pretty close to it in real time).
"and contrary to popular belief, its actually...a decent laptop". That's where the problem is because with a starting price of $2400 it shouldnt be decent, it should be phenomenal, fantastic, amazing, superb, terrific, stupendous e.t.c.
Watching this 6 years later on my 2016 MacBook Pro. This computer was a gift and my first laptop since my 2004 MacBook Pro died in 2015, so I thought the bugs were standard-issue for new Apple products. Boy howdy do I wish I'd followed this channel back then because I would've immediately returned this thing, or maybe at least caught the hardware recall Apple silently rolled out a year later. Luckily, my touchbar doesn't freeze anymore since updating the OS a couple times, but I'm still waiting a good 10 seconds every time I type more than 2 wps for them to pop up. And, of course, I've got third-party software controlling the fans, running them at full blast 100% of the time. Can't wait 'til I can afford one of the new M1s and ditch this piece forever.
@@justin6581 It was treated VERY well as a work laptop by its former owner, only really being used for audio mixing. Then I got it in 2011, Portal 2 came out, Chrome became popular, and the battery didn't last long after that haha.
I'm glad you mentioned how unintuitive it is to use the touch bar. When I saw the announcement the first thing I thought of was having it change all the time and having to look down at it.
I didn't even consider it until it was mentioned here. That's gotta be the most inconvenient upgrade made in the name of looking cool I've seen yet. And even more so considering so many people, myself included, are so dependent on keystrokes.
Andy Moran Yeah, looking down where your function guys normally are does seem inconvenient. How do you feel about this bloody keyboard?? I did a typing test in notepad, and I was surprised that my hit rate was high. Still, the keyboard felt and sounded broken. Cheap. Had to wonder why they didn't just move to an all glass OLED keyboard with haptic feedback. Hahaha. Seriously, I like the feel of the tiny Surface 4 and Samsung Book 9 Pro keyboards more. Wish I knew I how to make them into a reliable Hackintosh. In fact, perhaps this is the first gen of MBPs that'll cause me to look deeply and seriously into the Hackintosh route. At least until they refine the new MBP a bit. Personally, I hate dongles and, although it's not as common these days, I write a lot. Those two pain points need to be soothed for me, although I'm sure almost everyone would like less dongles. I also need 32gb, but it turns out that's an Intel chipset issue.
Snazzy Labs I think the idea of a huge trackpad or the idea of owning a 2016 MacBook Pro would have been great if it was compatible with the Apple Pencil especially if it's aimed at a creative audience. At least then it would make better sense to have a huge trackpad
This computer would be worth it at $1100-$2100 across the range of options. $1800-$4500? Lmao get the fuck outta here apple. I laugh every time I see the price tag.
/////Reminder that the $4,300 version everyone's complaining about is because of the $1,400 upgrade to a 2 TB 3.1gb/s read -and 2.2gb/s which isn't going to be cheap in a laptop. Get the 256gb option and save yourself lots of money and get a 1tb USB C external SSD :^)
Still using my 2008 MacBook (non-pro) A1278. Still great for day to day tasks. I'm patient enough to wait about a second and a half for a webpage to load, and it has an optical drive, standard ports and user replaceable parts in abundance. Love it
Then why do you say "it's good keyboard", "powerful cpu" and other kind of nonsense when using it one can see how bad everything is!! the only good thing is the touch from the oversized trackpad... and when you can buy a laptop with 3X performance for less money... calling those games playable at 30-40fps on a 1600 bucks laptop is an insult for gaming!!
9:56 you say that "cpu intensive games should do well because cpu is powerful" ...sigh... then show cities skyline at worse framerate than Gifs... at least then you say it's unplayable... at 10:26 you say exactly that Doom is playable at ~40fps
Raimar Lunardi I don't know what you're getting at other than proving my point. I say that Cities: Skylines is unplayable in the video. It is. Which you confirm in your argument. DOOM runs at 47fps. By definition, most would agree anything over 30fps is playable. IT ISN'T GOOD. But it's playable. Which I also say in the video. So, yeah. Thanks for agreeing with me.
Apple's line-up made far more sense a few years ago. They had the MacBook (affordable), MacBook Pro (powerful), and MacBook Air (thin), to suit the needs of different users. Now the only option is thin, expensive, and underpowered.
Yep, the battery thing is one of my bigger gripes. I'm not too down on the whole machine like much of the internet seems to be, but reducing the batterys physical capacity by 25% to shave off 3.5 millimetres of height is just the epitome of modern Apple aggravation. Imagine how much more comfortable the battery life would be with the old size on the new power saving components - and at the same time, the GPU could have kept a 50W max displacement, rather than going down to 35W. That, and the price hike, which I feel pretty sure the Touchbar can't be near all of, and even if it is, just offer them without it then.
Apple will replace the common QWERTY keyboard layout with their own called APPLE. You will now have to know where each key is placed. Apple will also get rid of the delete/enter key because it's so old. Yes that is something Apple would do.
No, he's returning it because he never had any intention of keeping it. He was dishonestly purchasing a product from a store for the purpose of making a review video for his RUclips channel.
This chase of thinness is the stupidest thing ever. I am sure 99% of people does not give a crap about the thinness now. Devices are ALREADY super thin. It's the same as making iPhone thinner and thinner. Everybody wears the cases anyway!
Just got my 13" 2017 MacBook Pro, and I'm really enjoying it. I went with the model without the touch bar. When it was first announced I found it exciting, but then realized that it doesn't really do much. Not having the touch bar actually makes it much cheaper and delivers satisfying battery life. Brought it to work one day and worked a full 12-hour day on documents, slides and spreadsheets, and got back home with only 1/4th the battery drained. Of course I wasn't doing media-intensive tasks, but I found that quite impressive.
I have a 2012 MacBook ... I waited for all this time for this piece of shit new MacBook... a touch bar ...they give me a fucking touch bar .... And raise the price.... For a fucking touch bar ...
2012 MBP is one of the best (if not the best) ever MacBook... I have mine (Mid-2012) with an FuryX SSD and 1TB Disk (replaced the superdrive with a caddy), 16GB of RAM (apple says you can only have 8GBs for some reason) and i used it everyday with design programs and it works flawlessly... GPU is getting old tho
Upgrade to the 2015 model. That's what I've done and I love it. I got the fully specced out 15 inch model so it's actually more powerful than comparably priced new MacBook pros. And I love my glowing Apple logo :D
I am flogging my 2015 MacBook Pro. I'm having a much better experience on the Surface Book. In 18 months, I have gone from 100% Apple to 100% Microsoft. Apple IMO has lost the plot.
I am getting a spec'd out Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition or a Thinkpad, not sure yet but I am really leaning towards the Dell just because it comes with Linux preinstalled and it has a good build that looks very good to me.
Great review, honestly could not ask for better with this channel! You respect Apple's vision with their product line but you're super honest in your critique. I hope to see this be a constant trend with this channel, it's refreshing relative to other material out there.
If you have to raise your hand on the touch pad it helps prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. Having a flat hand moving the wrist around causes the syndrome. After getting used to lifting your hand, it will benefit you on the long run.
...aaaand this is why (among many other reasons) that I finally ditched Apple after decades of everything apple. SO much happier with Android and PC life now. good video btw!
+evo every PC I've owned has died or gotten significantly worse to the point its unusable within two years of making/buying it. I've had a laptop from apple for six years and it's still chugging along. Same thing with android phones as well (I've owned two android phones and two iphones). Hope your experience is better, but probably not :)
It's like Apple is totally ignoring everything we ask for and things we want, for them to say "we made (x Apple product) thinner! Great right!?" It's like innovation for them has been diluted to, making junk thinner, no one cares about how thin a laptop is, we want power and that works well, not one that eventually disappear if you turn it sideways. T_T I honestly cannot wait to finish paying off my iPhone because the minute I do, I'll be switching to a galaxy, I'm so done with underpowered, underperforming junk.
We never asked for the iMac or the iPod. They just made them. I get what they're trying to do to... but ever since Jobs died this company has been in a downward sprial... even if they keep growing in profits
Is this meant to be sarcastic? Text doesn't translate sarcasm well. If so then ignore this, if not then that makes no sense because the required dongles (not only cost way too much from apple considering they are almost necessary to use the damn thing) add way more cables to the process.
Wizzy Watkins bluetooth itself is a flawed system however. Anyone who uses even the highest quality of bluetooth headphones knows there will at some point be minor data loss. In terms of storage that loss is unacceptable. Not only this but a lot of people (myself included) wouldn't dream of using wireless peripherals due to latency. EVEN MORE, disks and SD cards are wireless, so why where they removed? Sure disks are going out of fashion but having that drive is still useful and I wouldn't buy a laptop without one. They aren't rationalising their decisions with the market, instead they're making dumb changes and hurting their own profits, thats why they have to increase the laptop cost every year
Wizzy Watkins well that's completely useless then, what point is there to having a separate SD card slot when you have to be at the laptop to use it? The whole point of laptops is to be all in one machines so you dont need accessories for it to have its basic functions (for a professional grade laptop an SD card slot is basic) so having everything seperately is a counterproductive bs move to make more money. I have wireless storage in the cloud, I still have to be at my device to use the files.
Agreed. Apple's obsession with thinness is clearly past the point of diminishing returns. I too would definitely prefer a thicker machine with decent battery life.
Crazy about your battery life. I have the base model 15 with touch bar and I can get 8 hours of the lighter work. Even my new MacBook 13 and 13 with touch bar can get 8 hours. I wonder why yours was eating your battery so fast? Rogue app? Processes running in background eating it up? I also play AAA games on the base model using Windows 10 with no issues. Yes they don't run at Ultra over 60fps but a 1060 card won't do it either so I am not complaining. I own almost every new laptop out and this runs really good even considering they used an AMD processor which I am not a fan of. This is not a gaming laptop but it will work good if this is what you are using. If you want a thin, light, gaming laptop then the best right now for the money is the Asus Strix ROG GL502VS with a 1070 card. Thanks for the review. Love getting other peoples perspective on new products. Keep it Snazzy!
Maybe Chrome? Though I have the mid 2014 15", which they rated 8 hours and I never hit near that with Safari either. I get maybe 5 on my lightest web browsing.
Bernard Wong That's also over double the TDP this new MBP chassis allows, the 1060 in laptops was drawing around 80W iirc, while the Radeon Pro 460 is 35. I don't like that Apple lowered the TDP to start with, but that is what it is.
yeah chrome for some reason uses so much cpu power on my MBA sometimes even up to 50% while watching youtube. I switched to Safari and the most it uses is 15% so my battery life has significantly increased.
103 degrees C should have come very close to killing the CPU. God damn it, a $4000 computer's fan should be able to cool its CPU while under load. Absolutely unacceptable.
Intel's maximum recommended operating temperature for Skylake quad-core mobile CPUs is 100 deg C. So yes, it's certainly far too hot, and Apple really needs to fix the fan curve, but it's not so hot the CPU will fry. I agree, though. Unacceptable.
Snazzy Labs Building a laptop with a CPU that can reach those temperatures is basically like building a suicide-prone device. Factor that in with the exploding speakers, and...
Nahum the Mayhem A CPU with no cooler can reach those temperatures fairly quickly. If you hunt around you can find a video of someone frying a small piece of pork on a CPU with no cooler attached. He then eats it.
it baffles me how much people spend for this ''high end computer'' I mean holy shit, 2400$ !!!! You can build an i7 based machine with a shitload of DDR4 RAM, and a killer graphics card for even less than 2400$ !!! what the actual fuck !
Snazzy Labs I would like to say you now have a new subscriber! I really enjoyed this review because everything you said where all concerns of mine. I didn't know it was buggy. I ended up getting an MSI GS63VR which performance wise is much better. I like apple products but that price tag but I'm also not a fanboy of any brand. Thanks for this comprehensive review.
comprehensive video. I did buy last year's model and not because I knew any better, but because I didn't want the trackpad, not realizing that there is a 2016 MacBook without the trackpad. after further researching both, I will definitely be sticking to my 2015 model. thanks for the review.
no, but I just can't be bothered to buy an expensive new one. But I only use it for work, which in my case means no video editing or that kind of stuff. Might have to upgrade the battery soon, it is getting really weak
Cheers for the vid; lots there I hadn't considered or even heard about so I'll be skipping this version....or at the very least delaying for quite some time.
"Even as a mechanical keyboard user, this is my favourite laptop keyboard ever"?!! Really?!! Were you really that deluded back then?! As a mechanical keyboard user myself this was by far, without question, no exceptions, THE WORST vile attrocity of a keyboard it had ever been my misfortune to use... it was an abomination, I sold my Pro and went back to my 2015 until the 16" came out and would never have bought another Apple laptop again had they continued to implement their butterfly keyboard. Even now the 16" is just adequate. Welcome to 2021 and the M1 Pro and Max MacBook Pros, isn't hindsight great! 😄
Very fair and reasonable review. No hate, no fanboy gushing, just a well presented case on why there are better options out there. I went with a Dell XPS 15 this year after 8 years of Mac.
your review does not make me regret my decision to purchase an MBP last night... I don't think the majority of your biggest issues really affect me. I also purchased the fully specced out version (save for the SDD) and I expect it to last as long as the 2007 MBP I'm typing this response on which only has 256 MEGABYTES of vRAM. This new MBP has got to be a huge improvement.
Not really, Apple has always had incredible durability. I'm still using my 2010 macbook pro with some upgrades. I do need an upgrade now, but never would've thought it would last for 7+ years. Don't get me wrong, I'm both a Windows and apple user. I don't get all this 'fighting' over which one is better. They both have pro's and cons. But yeah this is the internet sadly and everyone has a voice.
Personally I've not experienced the legendary durability people keep talking about. I've had to have my 2015 Macbook Pro replaced twice (after multiple repair attempts), thankfully covered under AppleCare. Apple themselves gave up and just gave me a top of the line 2017 refreshed Macbook Pro for free as a replacement.
Jason Griffin I think that's because of several things: Steve Jobs wasn't involved any more, there's no upgradability any more which kind of made the pro consumer feel a bit betrayed and lot's of people have different experiences anyways. It's been kind of going downhill since Steve Jobs died. But I wouldn't know personally about your MacBook version, I still have the 2010 one.
Well...this video did it....i am going to wait to replace my 2015 15" until the next version of this new design...thank you for being an early adopter and testing this out for me :)
Yeah, I was right on schedule to get a new macbook right at the time of the keynote. When I saw it I decided I was definitely going to buy the 2015 and I did. Absolutely no regrets, I love this computer! I was especially mad about magsafe, it saved my old 2010 MBP so many times it's just stupid to get rid of it!
Victor Teles Exactly what I did. I bought a loaded 2015 with the i7 and put a UAG case on it. Love the heft and the magsafe. Apple totally bombed on the 2016 models.
Two thing that don't make sense you didn't mention: 1. Magsafe, why would they get rid of magsafe. Its just better han USB-C, has saved my computer like a hundred times. 2. If they want to promote this universal cable for everything, why is the iPhone using the Lighting port?
and if they wanted to promote Ligntning for audio why did they put a headphone jack on this? The iPhone team seems "Courageous" but the MacBook team not so much
I've bought the 2016 13" macbook pro without touchbar precisely because the touchbar models were still too expensive and full of flaws. I was going to buy a 2015 13", but with cyber week deals I found that I could get the 2016 non touchbar model for only $100 more, which seemed fair for a better screen, better speakers, better ssd speeds, better keyboard IMO, better resale value and same to better performance compared to the 2015 model (according to various benchmarks I found). The non touchbar model seemed like a better choice for 3 reason: 1. Price: it was the only one with a somewhat reasonable pricing (with the cyber week deal) 2. Battery: it had a bigger battery than the 13" touchbar model, which combined with the lack of the touchbar, made for good battery life. 3. Less risky: the touchbar still has to prove to be a useful feature, and in getting there might still need hardware improvements in future generations. So, since I did needed a Mac (iOS development), do you think I made a good call????
Juan Manuel Gómez Ramos yes sir you did... discarding the touchbar model. let the people at apple HQ know that they need to work seriously on the issue.
Nobody "needs" a mac. Everything you can do on a mac can be achieved with much the same ease, better graphics and more power if you just buy a PC at half the cost. My PC cost me £600, built it myself, It is so much more powerful and I bought it nearly 2 years ago. If you really want the small form factor laptops then buy a premium windows PC.
Hackintosh are a pain man. Best to invest a little more money (for this particular case it wasn't really too much of a ludicrous price) in a machine that runs Mac OS without issues, than investing (better said: wasting) time tuning things all the time for Mac OS to run smoothly. But hey man, that's just my opinion. If you prefer PCs, that's great too.
I'm looking to buy my first ever macbook (or apple product) and for the past few days, I've been quite undecided between the 2016 and 2015 versions. The physical design is definitely improved in the new one, but I always liked the mag-safe and the great battery life that the macbooks offer, which are both things that can't be found on the new one. Thanks for the review, it was genuinely helpful!
Sorin Vasile Bogdan I would suggest the 2015. The extra io, more battery and FAR cheaper cost makes it super worth it. Btw they literally the same speed
Sorin Vasile Bogdan same dilemma. Want the portability of the 13" but the power of the 15" makes the decision difficult. I just want to be able to use premiere, after effects and photoshop flawlessly
Why people appreciate the high brightness ? It's not healthy for our eyes !!! I usually try to get it down, and all programs that i use have dark themes!!! Be aware, don't use bright screens, even it looks attractive !!
Same here. Excessive brightness is terrible not only for our eyes but for color accuracy. I know someone who had a super bright screen and order a pair of shoes he thought were orange but when he received them they were red. Lmao.
I'm working off a 2010 MBP and while it's kicked an incredible amount of ass over these past almost 7 years, it's starting to show it's age and with the majority of my daily workflow going through Adobe CC programs. The hardware and software is just not compatible anymore. I'm REALLY hating the fact that this latest upgrade to the line is so outrageously overpriced and I'm starting to come to the conclusion that a windows laptop is just going to more than likely be my next investment. And I have *no* idea where to begin. I haven't paid attention to windows releases since the early days of XP. What should I towards if I want great software performance (again, 99% of my time outside of my 9-5 is spent doing freelance work in Photoshop CC and Lightroom, so performance is imperative), great battery life and above all - great screen for photo and video work? Thanks!
Andy Moran look into an enterprise grade laptop like the HP Elite book, HP Zbook, Dell Latitude, Dell Precision and Lenovo Thinkpad. Stay far away from consumer grade garbage sold at Best Buy
Honestly, if you are going to spend a similar amount of time in between upgrades (a few years), your best bet is probably a 2015 MBP - they have by far the best build quality of anything out there. Most of the good PC laptops are either competing on the ultraportable side which are relatively underpowered, or are GPU/gaming oriented, which have terrible battery life in comparison. You may want to visit Notebookcheck if you really want to compare - they have the most thorough reviews and comparisons w/ almost everything out there. I think the Dell XPS 15-9550 i7 (4K) is one that might be a good fit - a high-power (HQ/HK not a U) i7 processor, great (2015 MBP class) battery life, and the 4K screen is 100% sRGB and 89% AdobeRGB. You can probably find a new 2015 MBP for cheaper than the Dell, though and it'll almost certainly last longer. After 15 years of Mac laptops I switched to a Lenovo X250 last year (mostly for battery life, w/ a slight concession towards portability, but it's not the most powerful laptop and the color gamut on the screen was middling). I have an Alienware 13 R3 w/ an OLED screen coming in next week - it's VR capable w/ a GTX 1060 and an HQ processor, and the OLED screen has 104% AdobeRGB gamut, but battery life is poor (
No new MacBook next year, but the same thing with wireless charging, bezel free screen, and no headphone jack in 2018 ! (and maybe even slightly thinner!)
Wow! I was planning on buying the 15 inch loaded tomorrow. I'm very happy I came across your well made video. I've been with Apple for the last nine years, so I'm completely lost as to what to buy! I have not used a regular PC in all that time. Might be Time to try to find an older model/2015. New subscriber as of today. Thank you so much for saving me a lot of cash and headaches. I've been disappointed with Apple for the last three years. 🤑☹️
This is why I bought the Macbook Pro 2015 model less than a week ago. Much cheaper, no dongles, and most importantly, the glowing apple logo (kidding). I really like it and if you were looking for a Mac but disappointed with this year's model, get the 2015 model.
I bought the 2012 MacBook Pro from my friend for around ($600), fit in a 250 GB SSD and an extra 4GB ram, getting around 5 hours of battery on youtube + safari ( it’s at 1400 cycles). Personally I like the trackpad which is just about the right size, and very very responsive unlike most mid range Windows laptops. Only downside is that there’s only 2 USB ports.. I need 3 so I’m forced to buy a dongle lmao. I thought I wouldn’t be using the DVD drive, but my college library has plenty of movies XD. I don’t see why would anyone need a thinner laptop than the 2012 Mac at the cost of reparability and battery life.
Not sure what you're complaining about. I'm on 77% of the new MacBook and it says I've got 10:11 remaining. Whilst watching RUclips videos and typing an essay.
Dude I wanna buy the new MacBook Pro but Battery Life is my biggest concern. I've been watching a lot of Reviews, it is not consistent. Some say Battery is bad 4/5 hours Others say they get 9 to 10 hours. I'm like WTF. So please, share your full experience with me on Battery.
I think it is Chrome that drains battery like crazy, I get around 7+ hours out of mine (same specs) when having 10+ chrome tabs open and 10+ programs launched (music, whatsapp, word, email, kindle and whatnot).
I've owned the new late-2016 15" MacBook Pro with Touchbar since its release in late November. My initial experience with battery life was not so hot, but since I've tested the (as yet unreleased) 10.12.4 version of Sierra, those problems are gone. I routinely get 8-10 hours of battery life, even with a dozen apps open and Photoshop being one of them. I'm very happy with my purchase, but to keep this in perspective, I upgraded from a early-2010 15" MacBook Pro. The differences between it and the new MacBook Pro are night and day. If you're upgrading from a more recent computer, you might not feel the same way. As for me, I'm happy with my new computer. I've made a couple trips from Florida to California with it, and I get an entire flight worth of power. If you're a gamer, or you're using Boot Camp, your results will probably be different. For my work and workflow, this was a very worthwhile upgrade. I do, however, have one gripe. I find it ludicrous that Apple didn't ship this very expensive computer with a power cord. All that comes with the computer is a power supply and a USB-C cable, even though the power supply plug can be removed like the older MacBook Pro. Very, very cheap and chintzy on Apple's part, especially considering the very high price of this computer.
I'm sure there are Apple users out there who will decry Windows machines saying something like "yes, but the big problem with it is it has Windows on it". Fair enough for the most part. However, I have a feeling Apple is counting on such sentiments, which is why they're able to get away with incremental upgrades while jacking up the price. When you aren't willing to leave the Mac platform, Apple pretty much has a monopoly on your options. The only way is to really vote with your wallet.
Sadly that is exactly the case. People (including myself) hate apple schemes to squeeze their money yet can't move from Mac OS to Windows for me mostly about stability. At least I won't upgrade to the newer model or in this case downgrade.
Hackintosh is much more an option now than ever. If you're at least a bit tech-savvy, do a bit of research up-front and have 2-3 days to spend on setting it up, it can run very nicely. Writing this from Sierra, on a Lenovo T460s, i7-6600u, 20GB RAM, 256GB SSD, for $1100. Very sturdy, spill-resistant, great keyboard, screen etc...Not to mention other very nice machines for a bit more money - Spectre, XPS etc. Admittedly, I *would* prefer an incredibly well-built Macbook Pro, but not the new one with all the flaws, for 2x more money...
Hackintosh FTW. Running 10.11 now on my Y50 with an upgraded Samsung pls-ips screen and a Samsung 850evo. Decimates all MBPs, especially since my CPU even if it is Haswell, doesn't throttle and runs stable at 3.6GHz (quad core HT).
I've got a Surface Pro, as well as several laptops including Alienware, Dell XPS, Samsung, etc. Just bought my first MacBook Pro, the 15" with touchbar, and I've got to say I'm loving it. Different machines for different jobs. For photography, I use the surface because of the stylus. Video editing, the macbook, and writing the Samsung or Alienware (I like these keyboards for long typing sessions). Nothing is perfect for everything, and they each have their tradeoffs and benefits.
Nice video. What is wrong with Apple? They have the money, they have the people, they have the skils but still, last years the don’t get it right any more. They have lame the Mac mini after 2012. There is no update for the Mac Pro and the last model I don’t like it. Apple kills Aperture and in stat they come with photo’s what is not so good. The iPad Pro is not pro because they don’t use OSX. The list is endless. It is very disappointing. And at last, the prices are way, way to high. It is unfortunate to say but gradually I start to say goodbye to Apple, after all, I’m not married with Apple. ;-)
0:59 “The keyboard is actually excellent!” “My favorite laptop keyboard ever!” -2016....that sure isn’t the case in 2020 lol
that line aged like fine milk out in the sun lol
*Glances over at 2016 MacBook pro that's missing several keys from simply typing* - yep.
Came to the comment section just for this.
103 DEGREES CELSIUS?? This is fucking unheard of, you could literally burn the skin of your legs with it.
I saw that and thought 103?. That's nothing, then I saw the C word.
Correct, Antonio!
It gets uncomfortably hot to have on your lap when rendering in Premiere or After Effects.
I laughed when I saw the touch bar on your screen at 7:50
Matthew Kosloski me too hahahahah
same hahaha
this macbook knows that it should have a touch screen

Snazzy Labs Can I just say I feel happy that you replied! Here's hoping Apple fixes things a little in upcoming years
@@andrewrobotbuilder MacBook Pro 16 inch 2021: Hold my beer.
I love the anorexia thing. yeah it's similiar.
I was about to write a reply bashing your understanding of engineering. Until i got to the end. ROFL! Thats a great use for this!
Like ma grandma said don't judge the book by it's cover... don't judge the new macbook pro 2016 without using it "PROPERLY"
Jerald Guevarra you mister are a genius.
Jerald Guevarra Any tracking issues?
The trackpad on the 2016 MBP is large enough to be a mouse pad. You should try using your mouse on the track pad. Provides excellent glide ability.
Why on earth do Apple continue to reduce battery size? I would prefer a thicker laptop with more battery.
R&D really should do polls - I think most people agree with you.
Meanwhile, manufacturers still think we want Laptops so thin you can bend with your bare hands.
its a woman's world now..
thanks feminism
So you think women want smaller battery sizes and men don't? why???
because everything has to be cute, small, and thin to make girls happy these days. even small dicks. they like weak ass girly dudes now with small dicks and cant handle a real manly man anymore. feminism 2016 for u. idk what 2017 will bring. probably more shit. i hope trump fixes this.
"It's gonna suck to use dongles for a couple of months"... More like a few years
Joshua Zaris 10months later... yes
Been a few months and im fine.
Richard That’s not USB-B that’s Lightning Cable. But that may be Sarcasm.
kek
And they took away the glowing Apple logo.
I'm glad they did. I think it was a bit childish. It's similar to pimping your car with neon lights in the bottom.
I like neon lights on the car
Yes, of course it's just my opinion. But Apple is trying to be a stylish brand and glowing logo, which is really bright in the dark is the opposite of stylish in my opinion.
Agreed +Mikko, imo it looked suuuper lame. Just an unnecessary gimmick that doesn't do anything
Why on earth do people care so much about the light up logo? I understand the importance of aesthetics, but the logo does not make any difference to the person using the computer. They can't see the thing when using it!
Five years without Steve Jobs is finally becoming a real issue at Apple.
what do you expect when you have a gay at the top?
not funny not funny ..
+ed tyler what's wrong with that???
bac302 exactly
Nando Gil the wrong thing is that the MacBooks have only one hole and everything goes there. Seems like Tim Cook wants it all in one hole
So true!!!! I've been with Macs since 1991 and they are rubbish now. I only use snow leopard on my 2012 Mini.
Molly Cutpurse the last good OS version on the last good mac mini. Nice!
"It's gonna suck to use dongles for *a couple of months."*
Yeah, that statement aged well in 2021...
Very useful and insightful review of this years MacBook Pro, first guy who just didn't rant like and idiot for 15min.
+Josh H. Thanks for watching, Josh!
I agree. But I haven't actually seen too many rants about it. A lot more people gushing about it than rants.
Yup, he only did it for 12 minutes and 46 seconds...
So, while rendering you can fry an egg at the same time. Convenient!
Stefan Andreasson haha, Yes one might as well make good use of the heat :D
Ahmed Tha King nah, I got a tiny dog, so when he gets on my lap, I've effectively bought a $4000 dog heater...
Winter is coming, imagine the convenience!
no dongle needed
Magical.
By far one of the best reviews I have watched, no nonsense just personal experience. So many channels publish unboxing videos and so-called "reviews" that just state the obvious. We NEED more of this kind of reviews that offers things you won't know about until you have the product.

Why do they have to make it thinner? The last one was more than thin enough. Put in a good battery. Sad!
Its the trend they made so they have to make it thinner every year
WAFFENOPS And that's stupid!
Seth D. Meyers Yep :(
Bruh you sound like a Donald Trump tweet
I disagree. The previous MacBook Pro is uncomfortably thick for wrists. The MacBook Air is great form factor. The new MacBook Pro is ok form factor. They shouldn't have exaggerated the battery life though.
Honestly, Apple devices haven't really been intuitive since Steve Jobs passed.
Their phones have been really solid though.
Emir Tulumcu I picked up an iPhone St the display in the electronics store, tried to get round it for 3 minutes and then I decided that android is way more intuitive. Admittedly, I have been using android forever, but still.
Solid, more not innovative. They lost that a while ago.
Amazing work Quinn! 100% agree with everything mentioned here.
Just returned mine to Best Buy and got the 2015 in exchange.
Absolute trainwreck
Lol good choice or seems like😄
Lewis Johnson you realize its almost 2017 right?
Jacob Lane...you realize that at these prices a laptop should be viable for a decade or more right?
G Henrickson aha you're right, but they're already way out if date.
"and contrary to popular belief, its actually...a decent laptop". That's where the problem is because with a starting price of $2400 it shouldnt be decent, it should be phenomenal, fantastic, amazing, superb, terrific, stupendous e.t.c.
Agreed. It's merely "good."
How did you use a PowerBook g4 until 2015?
+randomizednamme Interesting concept. Execution is lacking polish.
Snazzy Labs I think the idea of a huge trackpad or the idea of owning a 2016 MacBook Pro would have been great if it was compatible with the Apple Pencil especially if it's aimed at a creative audience. At least then it would make better sense to have a huge trackpad
Expensive potato.
Not Interested psst....applefanboys everywhere...
Buy an Psbox one instead.
haha
At least it fries itself :)
This computer would be worth it at $1100-$2100 across the range of options. $1800-$4500? Lmao get the fuck outta here apple. I laugh every time I see the price tag.
joe john And it gets worse because you'll need to buy fucking dongles
Alexei Delgado dont forget the dongle bag or should it call dongle back pack now since you will need bunch of dongles with this 2016 mbp?
/////Reminder that the $4,300 version everyone's complaining about is because of the $1,400 upgrade to a 2 TB 3.1gb/s read -and 2.2gb/s which isn't going to be cheap in a laptop. Get the 256gb option and save yourself lots of money and get a 1tb USB C external SSD :^)
External anything is not reliable at all
joe john you can get a full Gaming PC with that Price tag. A powerful one...
Still using my 2008 MacBook (non-pro) A1278. Still great for day to day tasks. I'm patient enough to wait about a second and a half for a webpage to load, and it has an optical drive, standard ports and user replaceable parts in abundance. Love it
MrClassicDoctorWho I know it’s a bit late but what osx are you running? You
You have to be paid to talk all those nonsense!!! That keyboard IS NOT like a mechanical in any way, and is terrible!
Oh yes, I'm very clearly being paid by Apple to explicitly say not to buy the laptop and it's not a good value. You caught me.
Raimar Lunardi I specifically called them unplayable. You need to rewatch the video. At no point do I recommend or justify the computer's price point.
That, and the price hike, which I feel pretty sure the Touchbar can't be near all of, and even if it is, just offer them without it then.
most of the bugs you mentioned exist on my 2019 MacBook Pro too
yea
I think one day Apple will delete the keyboard lmfao
only use voice to text
and this will be defended as "innovation".
Apple will replace the common QWERTY keyboard layout with their own called APPLE. You will now have to know where each key is placed. Apple will also get rid of the delete/enter key because it's so old.
Yes that is something Apple would do.

Loving my 2015 MacBook Pro i7 256GB for almost 2 years now :) was thinking about "upgrading" but after this, now I don't want to 😂
This chase of thinness is the stupidest thing ever. I am sure 99% of people does not give a crap about the thinness now. Devices are ALREADY super thin. It's the same as making iPhone thinner and thinner. Everybody wears the cases anyway!
Artem Zakharchenko I wanna pray every night to have a thinner Macbook - says no one ever...
Bramy Bian Exactly. This phenomenon got beyond its usefulness and became just stupid.
Shibby you are the 1%.
Artem Zakharchenko I like the thinness
Next year they are going to remove the battery.
This is the best review of this device that I've seen. Fantastic job.
+Lain Macauley Thanks, Lain!
A great review of the piece-of-chit Macbook Pro. It's refreshing to see an Apple veteran being totally honest about Cupertino's latest failure.
The music on the bugs was hilarious! lol!
not only the music. 7:52 All of touchbar buttons jumping to the main display, that's the funniest bug ever xD
That music also came up when he was returning it! haha
Of course I wasn't doing media-intensive tasks, but I found that quite impressive.
thanks man that was a great review
Thanks for watching!
best review, subscribed.
thanks for an honest review! I think i'll stick with my 2015 macbook pro lol
I have a 2012 MacBook ... I waited for all this time for this piece of shit new MacBook...
a touch bar ...they give me a fucking touch bar .... And raise the price.... For a fucking touch bar ...
AppleIsTheBest I have a 2010 one, which is about to die on me ... But this just wasn't what I was looking for.
Now go change your display name.
Apple IMO has lost the plot.
good video great info. thanks
+marcusan Thanks for watching, man!
marcusan Best summary of why not to buy I've seen yet. Thanks! Going to get a 2015 refurb when they're back in stock online.
0:59 THIS AGED WELL....
Almost everything would be forgivable if they just made the parts user replaceable.
Actually they made it. All the parts are replaceable... All at once :)) he is just performing a user replacement.
lol. fair.
Yeah you are way better off getting a fully speced out XPS 15
Kamran Kazemi-Far Or a top-end Lenovo ThinkPad.
Kamran Kazemi-Far wait for one that has the pascal GPU, either way the GPU is still better than apples top!
Kamran Kazemi-Far that's what I did.
I am getting a spec'd out Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition or a Thinkpad, not sure yet but I am really leaning towards the Dell just because it comes with Linux preinstalled and it has a good build that looks very good to me.
Donovan Goodwin i just did exactly this last week. It's fantastic! It also came with the latest bios and firmware updates preinstalled
After getting used to lifting your hand, it will benefit you on the long run.
cubby you know what else would fix this? A actual touch screen which would be 10x better than using this tool bar.
Apple fan boys always find a way to excuse shit design. It's well beyond time for a damn touch screen.
late reply but u rite
apple fan boys? im just speaking from general experience as someone with carpal tunnel lOL
lol no
...aaaand this is why (among many other reasons) that I finally ditched Apple after decades of everything apple. SO much happier with Android and PC life now.
good video btw!
You PC, bro?
Mikko Haavisto just built my first one yeah!
Welcome abroad! I must clarify that PC (personal computer) could be a Win10 or MacOS computer.
Mikko Haavisto of course. and thank you!
my nieces and nephews are asking me to gift them this thing and man you just save my ass.
Zhulfiqhar Yhaqub
Zhulfiqhar Yhaqub you were gonna get your nieces/nephews a $2500 (minimum) laptop? can you be my uncle?
Zhulfiqhar Yhaqub uncle !I'm here
Zhulfiqhar Yhaqub Get them a macbook instead and tell them if they want a pro, get a job!
Zhulfiqhar Yhaqub get a surface pro
Dissapear sideways XD
I get maybe 5 on my lightest web browsing.
any laptop with the GTX1060 in it will easily outperform the 15" with the 460 Pro in it
Bernard Wong That's also over double the TDP this new MBP chassis allows, the 1060 in laptops was drawing around 80W iirc, while the Radeon Pro 460 is 35. I don't like that Apple lowered the TDP to start with, but that is what it is.
Bernard Wong Yeah that's not what I said was it. Thanks tho.
yeah chrome for some reason uses so much cpu power on my MBA sometimes even up to 50% while watching youtube. I switched to Safari and the most it uses is 15% so my battery life has significantly increased.
Why divert your attention away from the display and mouse you are already using? Moving back in forth between touch bar and mouse seems tedious.
The Touch Bar doesn't remove any UI elements from the main screen.
Rob Speed b
wat lol
Lens98052 There's a setting in System Preferences to use them as function keys by default.
And yet you probably like the MS surface for touch right? Lets hold out our arms to type a word document.
100 C is boiling temperature, not sure how a CPU can survive that!
He then eats it.
wow! no kidding eh?, i gotta see this guy frying a piece of pork on a CPU LOL
Man your videos are awesome....i am watching your videos continuously from morning and its 1 A.M at night.
Keep up the work and stay snazzy!
You actually stated information other apple fanboy RUclipsr's won't say, the truth. Thank you!
J also look at everything apple pro channel. He says MBP 2016 sucks big time. Sadly, it only works better on FCPX. Sad.
hes not a fanboy though. he puts out a lot of critic.
Amen. As an Apple user and advocate since 1993 it's clear they have lost their way. What Steve worked so hard to accomplish is eroding fast.
I like the way you did this review man :) positive first then negative points. Good video!
Thanks for watching, Raymond!
Fantastic review. Good accent, deep analysis and crispy picture. Subscribed.
it baffles me how much people spend for this ''high end computer'' I mean holy shit, 2400$ !!!! You can build an i7 based machine with a shitload of DDR4 RAM, and a killer graphics card for even less than 2400$ !!! what the actual fuck !
Pixelsandwich the laptop OP has is around $4000 with tax
If someone is in the market for a laptop I doubt they'd want to build a PC. Although I do agree $2400 for a laptop is ridiculous.
you can also make coffee for cheaper than you buy it at Starbucks and yet here we are...
for me it's more about the ergonomics and build quality than the performance.
Pixelsandwich you people will always fail to understand some people JUST LIKE THE AMAZING BUILD QUALITY AND SOFTWARE
Thank you for your Honest Review👍
Excellent video Quinn! Absolutely loved it. ABSOLUTELY! KICKASS VIDEO. Subscribed!
Thank you! Welcome to the family!
KDCloudy same i just subbed too :)
comprehensive video. I did buy last year's model and not because I knew any better, but because I didn't want the trackpad, not realizing that there is a 2016 MacBook without the trackpad. after further researching both, I will definitely be sticking to my 2015 model. thanks for the review.
I bet Apple was in rush to introduce this Macbook "Pro".
Which took them 1½ year lol.. They are just getting greedy
nice avi, nice music.
i just bought the mid 2010 macbook pro. i upgraded ram and put in an ssd = very good and capable laptop 👍 it did cost Me around 400$
Swedish BeatBalls I am still using mine with a ssd upgrade. Wouldn't change it for any other Laptop currently...
Swedish BeatBalls did that model have retina display?
uuuuhhh no
no, but I just can't be bothered to buy an expensive new one. But I only use it for work, which in my case means no video editing or that kind of stuff. Might have to upgrade the battery soon, it is getting really weak
no retina display no buy
This was really informative and saved me from a purchase I would've regretted. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
This is a great video, well thought out and you did a good job explaining your logic. I agree with your review.
Thanks, Matthew! Stay snazzy!
Matthew Jardine that's exactly what I thought. not many rant reviews like this are nearly as objective.
Very fair and reasonable review. No hate, no fanboy gushing, just a well presented case on why there are better options out there. I went with a Dell XPS 15 this year after 8 years of Mac.
You'll love the XPS. It's a great machine.
your review does not make me regret my decision to purchase an MBP last night...
Style over substance, form over function and price over practicality. That's Apple for you.
The "current" apple, the old apple with steve jobs wont do such things
Actually, that's what Apple's been doing all along?
Apple totally bombed on the 2016 models.
time to get an M1!
loving the video because you showed the issues while talking about them ... Good shit!
Two thing that don't make sense you didn't mention:
The iPhone team seems "Courageous" but the MacBook team not so much
Really helpful review
Thanks for watching!
Somebody had a great movember! Awesome video Quinn!
Thanks, Louis!

Thank you for an honest review, subbed.
+R Vegas Welcome!
The non touchbar model seemed like a better choice for 3 reason:
1. Price: it was the only one with a somewhat reasonable pricing (with the cyber week deal)
I do iOS development, so yes... I pretty much need a Mac.
Install Mac OS on a PC maybe?? If you develop apps, im sure you can get your head round it. Don't get locked into an ecosystem.
Sorin Vasile Bogdan
Sorin Vasile Bogdan I would suggest the 2015. The extra io, more battery and FAR cheaper cost makes it super worth it. Btw they literally the same speed
Sorin Vasile Bogdan same dilemma. Want the portability of the 13" but the power of the 15" makes the decision difficult. I just want to be able to use premiere, after effects and photoshop flawlessly
Sorin Vasile Bogdan I dont know why after seeing everything you've seen lately you would still want to get a macbook at all
Sorin Vasile Bogdan Just dont. Get an XPS, or pretty much any other laptop. Apple is dead, move on.
Hand is attached to arm MIND BLOWN
Why people appreciate the high brightness ? It's not healthy for our eyes !!! I usually try to get it down, and all programs that i use have dark themes!!! Be aware, don't use bright screens, even it looks attractive !!
Pinkk Wormm I'm a fan of dark grey themes.
Try f.lux and set it to slow transition.
I can't use a PC without it!
Because some people use it outside at a picnic table or in bright areas like near some windows at school.
Same here. Excessive brightness is terrible not only for our eyes but for color accuracy. I know someone who had a super bright screen and order a pair of shoes he thought were orange but when he received them they were red. Lmao.
SAME HERE, I'm the only one I know who hates looking at high eye-frying brightness
Thanks!
Andy Moran just get a 2015 macbook cheaper than this 2016 garbage
+Andy Moran I'd be worried if I were Apple that for the first time ever, Apple users are starting to look at moving to friggin Windows. Lol
Andy Moran asus Chromebook flip
I have an Alienware 13 R3 w/ an OLED screen coming in next week - it's VR capable w/ a GTX 1060 and an HQ processor, and the OLED screen has 104% AdobeRGB gamut, but battery life is poor (
Are they going to remove the touch bar next year?
Thomas Wilson Maybe they gonna give you some other overpricet shit like the iphone 8 at least will be
Julian Mulder the iphone 7 is a good phone.
retro666future yes ofcaurse but its too expensive for what you get
Yep and remove all ports and give you the new Apple bluetooth ports dongle for only 350$..(Tim if you're seeing this it's just a joke don't do it bro)
Dave if I'm looking to buy 2015 15" macbook pro how much would that run me?
Amazing review
+sreek611 Thank you!
Not sure what you're complaining about. I'm on 77% of the new MacBook and it says I've got 10:11 remaining. Whilst watching RUclips videos and typing an essay.
Also, can't say I've EVER had to reboot my Mac
James Rogers which model do u have ?
2016 15 inch with touchbar
Dude
I wanna buy the new MacBook Pro but Battery Life is my biggest concern.
I've been watching a lot of Reviews, it is not consistent.
Some say Battery is bad 4/5 hours
Others say they get 9 to 10 hours.
What is the point of good build quality when everything is soldered on and built to NOT last?
Thank you for your honesty in this video :)
Thanks for watching, Nicholas! Stay snazzy!
Why am I just finding this channel now damn
+Alex Kamen Glad you're here! :)
Yay your video actually showed up in my sub box this time
+Jacob McCarthy GOOD!
It is unfortunate to say but gradually I start to say goodbye to Apple, after all, I’m not married with Apple. ;-)
iPad pro works great with astropad btw
Maybe once Apple Campus 2 opens, things will pick up speed again?
Brohana I don't think so :-(
You forgot to add they have the fanboys and therein lies the answer to your question
2 words - Steve Jobs. Apple is now just another cheap computer company.
Great review. Intelligently written and passionately narrated. I've subscribed to your site. Well done.
