Ursa Ryan is so underrated, probably one of the few Civ RUclipsrs that is as entertaining as Potato, and he has a fantastic & consistent upload rate. Definitely would recommend anyone looking for more Civ vids to watch him.

I never realized that God of War includes OTHER Civs' Holy Sites. That completely changes my opinion on it. I might be able to use that even if I'm planning a more defensive game, so long as I feel I (or every city state in my vicinity) am likely to be attacked early. I too love going hard on Faith, and the invasion of the other civ is always the real grind of even a defensive war.
It's also a pantheon that scales so well in the late game - especially if you tag it together with the Grand Master's Chapel - using fighters to kill units and then printing new ones with the faith can be a lot of fun
I actually just found out about this earlier when i was going to an early war with China and randomly got a pantheon after killing a chariot. Probably gonna be my default pantheon for Domination games.
That is not all, God of War stacks with Georgia's ability which is exactly the same of giving 50% of faith from victories. Making Georgia gain 100% faith from combat victories effectively doubling that.
I always thought God of War is a bad pantheon since you have to rely on your own Holy Site but after hearing that it also includes other Civs' Holy Sites I might give it a go on my next game
Snap, Hungary + Himiko is just The Dream Team. Also imagine this: Himiko + Vampire + Nihang + Jet Bomber + GDR + ... (Civ is quite good in Fantasy/Sci-Fi crosses)

Enjoyed all the guests this week and hope Potato had a good vacation. Slightly surprised by how little mispronounciation was in this video considering its length. Great video as usual!
I remember Civ 3 gave you a huge score bonus for finishing early. I think it was realistically the only way to get a huge score. Now, you really have to turn off all victory types, take every city, and wait till turn 500.

All the modes make the game easier to snowball. The vanilla gathering storm is the best one to play I think. Even the barb clans mode makes the game strange because there would likely be hundreds of city-states in the late game.

Saying that secret societies wasn't helpful arguably isn't true; the early governor allowed him to get Amani earlier than would otherwise be possible and get the snowball rolling extremely early.
Great video! I find it hurting my eyes during nighttime mode. I find it much, much easier to look at videos in constant daytime mode, like Potato makes. Just a thought!
Hello Potato! Am totally new to Civ 6 and I like this game but am finding the learning curve a bit hard. Am watching videos like yours and were you talking literally when you said you were going to sneak in and steal a Barbarian camp with your warrior? I have never seen any options to sneak and steal with a warrior. If that is possible could you please tell me how to do that. Thank you. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really want to love this game. I just hope I can overcome the challenge and confusion of learning it before I quit in frustration. This is not the type of games I usually play. I just beat Stranded Alien Dawn (another very different type of genre I never played before) and I was having the same problem with that game but I was able to persevere and learn its difficult learning curve and now it's one of my all time favorite games. But believe it or not am finding Civ 6 more challenging than that game.

Whenever I try this strategy, the city states have a warrior and scout. Maybe a galley in a lake.

Heroes and Secret Societies sometimes feel like cheat codes. Maybe some games without them would be cool to see the difference.
The more options, the more complexity you add to the game, the easier it gets. The AI just cannot understand mutually beneficial combinations.

what Potato did was so rare to let others use his channel...rare like finding uranium or niter or oil or ore
And this is why a Himiko Rush is the single most devastating thing to happen as Hungary... So many warriors and swordsmen swarming everywhere

What's the point of the Divine Inspiration belief (wonders provide +4 faith)? Were there that many wonders in the map? I had no time to realize it.
