I've found that if I tighten the loose loops before I cast off I can get it perfectly done without extra strings but, if I do it after casting off I end up having to tie those last ones together.
Right before casting off you just flip your loom over, grab the other end of your work (the side that was the cast on) and, in the same way Denise shows in her videos, start pulling the yarn to tighten the loops.
What a lovely pattern, with very clear instructions! I'm new to loom knitting after not being able to figure out regular knitting or crochet. Before trying this I'd only made one e-wrap hat so this was a gamble for me. I was happily surprised at how doable this was. You made it very easy for me to learn and follow each step. Thank you!
You knocked it out of the park with this pattern! So easy to follow and your yarn estimate is spot on. I had a ball of 112 yds of #5, knitted this up and blammo, shrug! I also made a second one slightly larger with a 10 row cuff and 19" opening that is adorbs. Thank you!
I just finished mine! I had so much fun with it. When I showed it to my family, my 9 year old sister (I'm 17) said, "You have to make me one now. Use your rainbow yarn." I mean I'm not gonna tell her no
I just found your videos and as soon as I saw this one I grabbed my loom and black yarn and got to work. It turned out great, a fun little piece to layer. I'm definitely gonna check out your other projects because I miss using my looms so much and you seem to have fun projects other than the standard hats and blankets. Thank you!
Yasss Ms Denise you came thru with a beauty my loom had just said to me what's going on we haven't been selfish since the loom knit beret I said I know I'm sorry and you came thru😍😍
Hey lady you never disappoint! I love this pattern and off to Etsy to grab it. You are a You Tube wonder! I think I have mentioned this over the many years I have kept up my subscription to your channel.....I knit with needles but always go back to the loom as it is easier on my hands. Be well !
I love your videos, looked for hours for a shrug on the loom, was wanting to make a longer one, like past the hips, can you tell me how to do it. Thanks you for all your great videos
Your Wonderful Denise! You come up with the most fantastic items, and I’m making them now. What I want to know is can you teach us how to make like a beach bag. Other people who crochet a posting on RUclips. I am a loom knitter and a hand knitter too. This would be fabulous for all of your other faithful fans🧶🌈🥰💞💋💐
I did save your other bag that you forwarded to me. I’m going to make that next. I’m looking for a beach bag. So many people and making them in the stores and they’re so expensive. There’s a crochet person on RUclips and just does everything crocheting. I can’t make that. I only need in loom knit. So that’s why I was hoping for a big beach tote. I have enough yarn in my house and I can mail it to you. Because I overbought for baby blankets. And that’s five or six number in the weight. So it’ll be strong. I just thought you with your magnificent inspiration, that you can show us all how to make them. Only if you can. And seriously Denise I would mail you the yarn if you want it
Do you think there’s any way to do the sleeves on a 31 loom and then put it on the 36 loom to do the back? I just don’t know how to decrease back down to 31 for the second sleeve, that would be tricky.
To make the sleeves longer I assume you would just add rows to the five at the beginning and end right? I have extra large arms so I want a little more coverage.
I would love to know if this worked for you. I'm making one for a friend and she's a plus size girl, so I need to make the arms a little bigger. I'm trying to guess how to do this, but I don't wanna the sleeves too big.
I just made this with the 36 peg for my daughter who wears a women's medium, 8-10. It looks nice on her for what she wants. I think using the larger number of pegs would make it hang further in the top to bottom height. My daughter is very tall and she wanted the shrug to be short so this worked perfectly for her.
I've found that if I tighten the loose loops before I cast off I can get it perfectly done without extra strings but, if I do it after casting off I end up having to tie those last ones together.
Oh WOW - I hadn't thought of that. I"ll have to test that for sure. Thank YOU !
How do you tighten while on the loom?
Right before casting off you just flip your loom over, grab the other end of your work (the side that was the cast on) and, in the same way Denise shows in her videos, start pulling the yarn to tighten the loops.
Thankyou! I always have problems like this

Denise!!! This is GORGEOUS!!! Well done 👍👌👌
The only problem I see when making this is everyone will want one when they see it! Hugs 💕

This is beautiful and I can’t wait to make one! Thank you for the wonderful tutorial.
This is the perfect quick project!
Mimi - it really is fast - once you pick up a rhythm you're done in no time.
I’m trying to do this for the 2nd time, I will get it this time. Thank You for us in details
Making it a second time through. I have a nice big skein of Red Heart in my favourite colour (mint green). Making a skirt to go with this
Made one in a couple of days, love it!
Very nice making one for a friends wedding. She wants a white with sparkle threads in it. Hope it turns out.
You can't really see it but the yarn has metallic strings - it's Red Heart Shimmer
Love this project I'm already making my second one! Please do a pattern for a cape, I've been searching for one for ages..
For a small and medium shrug use a 36 peg Loom. For large, XL large, 2XL shrug use a 41 peg Loom.
So do I just adjust the rows for a 41 peg loom?
Absolutely beautiful, summer project
This will be the perfect bithday gift for a friend, but I'm having trouble with the DeW stitches uhg can I substitute them with something?
I love your videos, looked for hours for a shrug on the loom, was wanting to make a longer one, like past the hips, can you tell me how to do it. Thanks you for all your great videos

Hey Adrienne my sweet Loom ! Have you tried the Origami Market / Beach Bag ruclips.net/video/Y4VjT8Gx9fM/видео.html ?

Could I adapt this to make a flat panel shawl? Just asking because not all round patterns work as flat panel

Can I use the peaches and creme yarn #4 medium worsted yarn
Hello Denis I am using 41pegs .. cannot find the link please attach it to me .. thank u
Hi Ani there is no video for the larger version. The instructions are on the written pattern. There’s a link in the description for my Etsy store.
Could this be done on a 30 peg loom?
Yes - keep in mind the less pegs means a smaller shrug - more pegs, bigger shrug
I am a small ffame woman should i use 36 peg or 41 peg? Not sure if small is for a child
Would this fit an adult?
Hi Lisa ! The video is for a medium adult size - for a larger size see the written pattern here loomahat.store/products/lace-stitch-shurg
What weight yarn is best for this? I want it a little less open
Use a chunky #5 or higher
What size would you say this is?
The featured shrug is a small. If you watch til the end you’ll get the information for a larger size
@@LoomaHat Thank you so much
@@LoomaHat I did watch to the end. But would still like to know like Lee, what size is the one you just did. Thanks
“Don’t flip out” *me flipping out*
thanks for the giggle 💛😆🌻
