Hey man... The way I did mine is I use 12 v from the air pump fuse and made a little fuse block underneath the factory Mazda fuse box... There I wired my injectors and my LS ignition power ... ECU power I wired into the Mazda ECU fuse and used a bigger fuse to handle the power... All can be done at the Mazda fuse box
Thanks Carlos! That’s a great idea using the 12v from the air pump fuse. For the constant 12v to the ECU I was thinking about just running a wire straight from my battery post with an inline fuse. Aren’t you worried that upping the amperage of your ECU fuse could possibly allow those circuits to get too hot? I would hate to mess with the stock fuse sizes for my Mazda ECU
@@gastancehouse I’m not too far behind ya, I’m doing the same thing as you after seeing how clean your engine bay came out and filling all the factory bolt holes, and plan on painting and 2k clearing as well this weekend. I actually knocked my frame rail seams down for extra clearance but hated how it looked afterwards lol so I spent the last week doing “body” work on those seams to make it look factory/clean
Really enjoying your videos. I’m going to be swapping my 05 rx8. I’m starting to accumulate the parts. I bought a new t56 magnum f, going to get a explorer 8.8, I’m thinking keisler automation mounting kit for the diff, ronin speedworks rear axles. I’d like to do something like a LS3 and use the ls1rx8 mounting kit. Any chance you have the part numbers for the fuel pump you used and the fuel line adapters (from quick disconnect to an - both sides) it would make life easier in the future. Thanks for the videos!
Thank you so much! That’s awesome! Thinking I will have to upgrade the rear end at some point also.. And yeah if you want to shoot me a message on Instagram I can send you links for what I bought! @cadekb
Hey there! I upgraded to the DeatschWerks DW200 255 LPH drop in pump kit specifically advertised for the Rx8! I am not running a return line, because the Rx8 actually has a regulator in the pump hanger that holds the fuel at almost the perfect pressure for the stock LS1 rail. There is a ton of information on the Facebook group if you want to do more digging!
@@gastancehouse thanks a lot man💪🏼 i will look for one right now then haha it would be dope to have a “LS RX8” meet up in the future if enough people are down 🔥 thanks again for the respond
I’ll be starting this same journey next month, I can’t wait. 😊
Good luck man!!!
