That Inwin case brings back memories of a bygone era! I remember having one during the early P4/ Athlon Classic days though not with the same front bezel.

Really clean restoration. There's something about old retro PC cases that makes me feel happy. Good to see an ol dcase being cleaned up and put into use.
Did good, lots of work put into it... nice job. One piece of advice that many overlook and think it's not necessary. It really does matter where those hoses on a radiator are located when using closed loop liquid cooling. Despite what some claim, the most efficient and effective way to mount a radiator like these are at the top with the hoses hanging down. You can also place the hoses at the bottom when mounting for a vertical position. This ensures all the air in the radiator is at the top and will remain there so your pump isn't pulling in air and make gurgling noises for more efficient cooling. My personal preference is at the top in a horizontal position, but then it depends on the case.
I do like the sleeper esthetic, but personally I'd get one of those ide to sata boards and have kept those floppy drives and the retro disk drive. Starting up the PC with all the correct retro sounding components that's still fully functional.
I tried using those IDE to SATA converter boards and they didn't work. I tried them on several different drives CD and DVD drives but no go! I don't think they are even real.

"How to take a good retro case and convert it to a bad modern case". Now the intake is just hot air with insufficient clearance, the pressure in the case is negative, a buttload of turbulence in the airflow, no cable management features :)) maybe it makes for some content, but not something I'd do or recommend.
Very nice! But If I were you I'd put the 5.25" media dashboards to the old optical drive slots, because the old cases lack the USB 3.0 ports in the front panel.
Just found this video and absolutely love these kind of builds !! And If someone was to make a more modernised retro case I would buy one in an instant
🇧🇷 I have a pc just like this one to customize 🙂 I also do this type of work, and I can say that it turned out super amazing, great job congratulations 👏👏👏

I really loved it, but since you seem to be able to 3D print as much as you want, I'd print a grill for them bottom (only the filter feels too flimsy). Great job nonetheless, absolutely wonderful result

Lmao. I've had one of these as a footrest for the last 3 years. It has a Core 2 Duo e8600 and GTX 275 in it. I often compare steam game requirements to my footrest as a joke.
it was pefrect case for retro setup, sorry for my honest opinion, at least i don't lie, it was hard to see... i mean you are really handy, and it looks like you know what you do, just my heard cries because of that case, which really reminds me one of first lian li cases...

Incredible! The best sleeper I've ever seen! I wish I had your knowledge and tools (3D printer). It's my dream to build sleepers not only out of old PCs but also strange things like classic stereo amps and stuff you'd never guess were PCs. Great work sir, you have a new subscriber!

I have an old casing from South Korea and almost the same as this one... maybe i'll give it a try too hehehe. Thank you for the idea. edit: sadly I don't have 3D Printer but I'll think of some other way maybe
This reminds me of the videos by My Mechanic. Were you inspired by his style? I would have also cut a square hole into the motherboard tray so that the motherboard doesn't have to be removed from the case if a different cpu cooler requires a different backplate. Also, there are reverse facing fans that can be put into the bottom of cases that look more fitting.
а с кнопкой включения всё же облажался.... блин так была бы прям супер сборка в старом корпусе. нужно было на переднюю крышку целиком переносить микрики и светодиоды
Good choice on the CPU.
The R7 5700X, while a bit older than the current 9000 series, is still a very decent chip all these years later.
Water cooling magically swaped to deep cool 🙂

@@iam4740at the end you can see that the white AiO is swapped out for an black Deepcool one

InWin S500 first generation from end of the 90s, immortal classic. 1mm anodized steel, heavy weight, all i miss now.

Yeah you want the radiator higher than the pump, any air will rise to the top of the radiator.

This is one of the coolest videos on YT, so freakin satisfying.
О! Регард) А вообще делаешь нормально, спустя время твой канал может стать популярным)
так же не ожидал что реставрировать будут систему от регарда, пендосы удивляют
This is the kind of PC restoration we need to see, nicely done good sir.

Used to do these pc modding in the early 2000s, lol

I just subscribed because the AIO magically transformed into DeepCool 🤣👍
I had that case from a junk pc I picked up. It was strong enough to use as a stool. They don't make them like that anymore.
Still one of my fav PC case refresh / diy / mod. Any more of these type videos planned??
imagine someone from 30 years ago watching this
YOU SUPPOSED TO HAVE HIGHER VIEWS. PLEASE DO 4090 rtx with OLD PC LIKE THIS

There are services like PCBWay you can send your CAD files to to have printed
My very first desktop pc was in that exact case. Intel Pentium Pro 200mhz. It was on an Intel motherboard that allowed an overclock to 233mhz.

Aside from the front panel, lack of front airflow, mismatched colors, good job for a first time resto.
Subscribed 👍🏻

What brand and hardness of TPU did you use for the 3D printed rubber feet?
What's the material used for the rubber feet?
impressive work but... I think you forgot about the cable management, luckily you didn't show the inside of the Case as much at the end 😂
Whatever happened to “falcon cases” everyone had to have one back in early 2000’s!
perfect
Heat must love this pc when 50% of the radiator gets airflow.
а с кнопкой включения всё же облажался.... блин так была бы прям супер сборка в старом корпусе. нужно было на переднюю крышку целиком переносить микрики и светодиоды
que es el aereosol que le aplicas entre una capa y la otra????
Would have added a window in the side panel, other than that, nice work
you should put a tag for sleeper pc since thats what you made
Age is just a number .. but soul is young 😁
99.1% pure👍
The sound it makes makes me think the fans are not secured correctly and they are producing a little bit of rattle.
12:00 Have u some recomandation for dust filter ?
Does it run good? We should get a review.
on 13:27 what is the name of those screws you hammered in the top of the case????
they are pop rivets
It looked prettier without the lid.
hi, where can i found your stl files to replicate your project?
long time job good work but front panel look bad
I have a 2001-2004 era Gateway Case that i'm dyeing to restore, but i don't have the equipment
