I was so happy seeing this video until I realized that you are Immortal flames. Maelstrom for the win. Still, great vid. I was paralyzed and overwhelmed with how much stuff was on foundry at first. This will definitely help first time players.
I gotta be honest. I'm interested in learning to play, but I feel like I could watch this video and any number of other tutorials 10x each and still be a worthless noob in game. How are new players actually getting started in this game? Was suggested to try a vtt cuz in the 40 years I've spent on this planet I've not met a single person that plays DND much less enough to get a group together. Vtt may be my only option to get into it.
We run games on a pretty regular basis on my discord server and often have brand new players. You're more than welcome to join some and learn there. discord.com/invite/p8ZCdaJkTD
Do you have any DM guides for Foundry, like a workflow? Thx.

Want to know what the best part is? That was just a coincidence. My editor doesn't play FFIV so I don't think he knows I picked Immortal Flames lol
@@DungeonMasterJosh Lol. That's actually hilarious. Flames do have good glamor.
OMGosh as a terrified first time GM ( this saturday night for PF beginner box ) .... this video was amazing!!! I hope I do OK!
I'm sure you'll be great! I'm glad you liked the video.
Really cool video! Awesome for new players on foundry
Fantastic tutorial, thanks!
Thank you so much for this video!
Dang... I wish I had this video like 2 years ago lol
Definitely adding the fight commentator for "turn warning"
I already added it for you.
Can players draw a map on a grid or draw on the map? Like for player mapping in a mostly theater of the mind game
Yeah, they have a draw tool. You won't be able to get detailed with it but you can draw walls, roads, buildings etc.
big thank you! and all the players can use it, not just GM?@@DungeonMasterJosh
You can adjust that in the permissions and let players draw (default) or turn it off
thanks you! I'm growing more convinced to get Foundry@@DungeonMasterJosh
