I used the spiders effect on a spider cave map, my players were NOT impressed! By not impressed I mean they were very impressed with the effect, but not by my choice to implement it lol
The embers option is rather versatile. I have changed up the settings and colors to create effects such as fairy lights, dust motes, and something that looks like little flying bugs in a bog. You can get really creative with the uses of that one.
Great vibes, well explained. I like this video. My only critical comment (and I may have just missed this) it would be cool to link to the patreon of wherever you're getting these maps from. I really like them and want to support the artist.
That is a very fair point! Thanks for the kind words and constructive criticism! These maps were made by Cze And Peku. They have some of the best maps for Foundry!
Excellent demo! Is there a way to mask a specific effect when you have more than one effect in a scene? For example, if you are using rats and spiders, is there a way to isolate rats into one area, whereas the spiders can roam in another different isolated area? I appreciate your work!
So I know this video is a bit old. But I was wondering about the masking and invert masking. Is it possible to have two effects at the same time with different maskings? For example, it’s a cloudy/overcast day or night. And there’s also rats. But the rats are ONLY inside the building. And the clouds and other effects are OUTside the building.
@@DiceAndEasy Awesome, thanks for such a quick response. Thought I recognised the art style of the beds and couldn't rest until I found out who did them

Hahahaha 😂
I've had this mod for a long time, but NEVER knew that I could mask it for indoor areas! haha! Thanks for the tips!!
It’s a great feature! Thanks for checking out the video!

Nice! Good tips there!
For the invert mask, a good example could be a foggy bath house, or a burning building using the embers
Those are great ideas!

Great job! And as someone with epilepsy, thanks for giving a warning about it :)
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching my vid!

Thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately that kind of masking is currently not possible
Is there any sort of brush or something to apply tiles/effects over a space -- imagine an ice dragon leaving frozen streaks along a field
Not that I’m aware of, unfortunately

Great demo! Thanks!
One thing I did was use snowstorm but changed the color to a yellow to mimic a sandstorm in a desert map. Worked well.
Thanks for watching! Ooohhh that’s a very neat trick!
That Acid Line looks familiar ;)
Well done
Thanks!
Are you able to save these filter settings per scene? So you don't have to do them on the Fly
Yes they are saved on the scene so the next time you open the scene those filters will be there exactly the way you set them up
What map was being displayed?
The maps here are from Czepeku’s free map pack

What module lets you transition to Darkness?
It's part of Foundry core (at least in v10 and up). You just go to "Lighting Controls" and then click "Transition To Darkness".
@@DiceAndEasy Thanks for the reply never noticed It was an option before
@@officedeldro4509 you’re welcome!
Cool I like this idea
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@DiceAndEasy your welcome
You can also add your own custom Special Effects to the Special Effect menu.
Yup, that's true!
YOU TELLING ME I CAN MAKE A FOG WALL?
