    In this video I give you a quick tip on how to successfully agline the grout lines in the corner of a wall when installing any type of tile on a diagonal. This is a simple little trick that will make the job go faster and make it much easier to install tile on a 45 Degree angle.

    I still prefer the overlap, just made from two separate pieces, but I REALLY hate when people don't overlap, and just leave a huge void in the corner!
    The only issue people might encounter with the foam is: I bet sometimes the sqare foam corner protrudes past the caulking surface if the caulking is tooled too deep? (Or if you're working with larger spacing?)

    thans for this tip. so does that mean when you get to the wall, you cut the tile 'short' by the thickness of the tile and the little strip so that it matches perfectly?

    How do you remove it again after it has cured so you can add the code mandated flexible joint for the corner?
    If house moves from cold, settling or anything that corner is going to crack with just grout in there. Even worse with a solid piece of tile.

    Sal, if you extended just one wall of tile behind the other and cut the mating wall tile the same size as in your example, wouldn't the tile edges still match up as long as your not matching to the end of the tile that is going into the corner, but instead a tile thickness away?

    • @andrewgreif1504
      @andrewgreif1504 Год назад

      Ok I think I see why, is because the mating wall tiles you are using from the cut on the other walls tile.

    Hey Sal, I'm not a tile guy so please don't be offended, but I wanted to know. When the two tiles meet in the corner how come you don't continue the line straight with the herringbone? Why does it look crooked? Is it not possible to do that or is it better for the herringbone?
    But the project looks great👌!
