They almost sound the same, the only discernible difference I heard was a slight swing in s/etc sounds. Overall, if neither used a pop filter, and you aren't doing professional voice work, the wave 1 is a winner. For $50 less MSRP, unless you need one of the small face additions the wave 3 added, or have a lisp; the wave 1 does the job easily. 7:30 the mic control is useless 9 times out of 10 if you are trying to use one of these for streaming. You want this to stay consistent. You likely will buy a stream deck at this point to handle basic tasks. You can get one key to bring up your mixer in windows. Budgeting wise, you should be better off with the 1 if you know your way around a pc. 9:00 if you can get the wave 3 for $20 more than the wave 1, it is the better option imo. The current MSRP is 100 vs 150, at that price I'd accept the difference and problems because they are ultimately small, and buy the wave 1.
I'm watching a video on my Stax headphones. Obviously there is a difference in sound. But only the person who made the video knows the guarantee that it was recorded under 100% the same conditions... Anyway, I will trust them and tell you the difference in sound. There is a difference in the amount of data in the sound. Wave 3 has more sound information, so it gives a more extended sound. More sound information, that's the difference. However, the recording sound of Wave 1 is a clean sound that is not lacking at all in a RUclips broadcast. Rather, I want to give the software a lot of points. Use Wave 1 to use this software. Wave 1 is enough for RUclips broadcasting. For music broadcasting or ASMR broadcasting, Wave 3 would be better. However, if you buy a Wave 3, you must also have good headphones and an amp to feel the difference. update: I tested it with my under 30 dollar condenser microphone, and it was better than Wave 1 in the video. Perhaps there is some kind of filter when recording video. If you think about it with such a reasonable doubt, just buy Wave 1 and the sound will be better than what is shown in the video. Maybe wave 1&3 sound is the same??? If I were to buy it, I would buy the Wave 1 and use the Elgato software.
Ok i checked the must recent prices and the wave 1 is $99.99, while the Wave 3 is $147.45. sorry, but I'm not paying almost an extra $50 for what, extra controls on the mic that you already have in the software? Honestly, as much as I love these mics, I honestly believe the Wave 3 is overpriced, even when it was only $30 more than the Wave 1. Just to clarify, these are both amazing mics for their prices, just the extra features on the Wave 3 aren't worth the extra $47.

I’ve always used headsets with a built in mic. How do these work? Can you use this mic for gaming? Does all of your game audio still come through your headset if the headset is plugged directly into the mic?
@@FishBeeProductions so if I have a Wave 3. I can use my headphones with the audio Jack on the mic. I will still be able to hear all of my game volume and voice chat with teammates using the Wave mic?
@@Returning2Orbit I'm pretty sure you can select (in the software) if you want to listen to 'desktop' audio or how your stream sounds (and adjust volumes in software too). So you can listen to selectable (up to 9 I think) audio-sources of your choosing, through the mic!
Unless you use different setups often, once you're set..you're not gonna change settings anyhoo. I think for that price difference, the overpriced shock-guard is probably a better upgrade than going from Wave 1 to 3, unless you really need the capacitive mute button.

Great review. You sound like Chills lol
You got me hooked on the Wave 3 mic. I just bought it and should be coming in within 2 weeks
Today, the Wave 1 sells for $70.
Would you pay an extra $80 when you could mute or adjust volume with a touch of your keyboard?
Maybe I would check used prices first though to see how cheap I could get the wave 3.
Do you suggest one of these or the Hyperx quadcast?
tough one because i like the wave 3 and quadcast mics, you can't go wrong with either in my opinion
@@FishBeeProductions ok thx for answering
I dont know, wich i should by ?
Get which one you want i mean wave 3 sounds crisper but if u want a softer one go for the wave 1 but then also the wave 3 has better controls
wave 3 sounds slightly better than wave 1

There's a lot of variables with your setup but you can listen through the mic jack or through your PC audio jack.

Yes you should be able to. I would always buy from somewhere with a good return policy in case it's not what you thought it would be.

What is capacative mute?
Kinda like a (capacitive) touchscreen, don't have to click-press, just touch it slightly.
Is it still worth it if it's 70$ price differents? I think of going for the Elgato Wave 1
Hmm that does makes it a tough decision
