when you compared the nt usb to the wave, you firstly had the wave about twice the distance from your mouth, and secondly for the keyboard test, the rode was resting on the keyboard. this will send the shock from pressing the keys through to the capsule more than just resting it an equal distance from the keyboard to the elgato.
yah not a good comparison check on the third mic their holding it manually as well. Which is also not a good representation since its not even touching the table to show how much/little is picked up from table/keyboard interaction
Yeah that software does look really cool. Though if you want something that works almost exactly like that and doesn't require an Elgato microphone, then Voicemeeter Banana or Voicemeeter Potato are what you're after. They're donationware as well so give them a go and if you like them, go and donate to them. I'd be interested to see a video from you about these software.
The audio test was a little flawed, the mic is supposed to be up to your mouth, maybe 3 inches away in order to really capture voice as intended, a foot and a half away makes it hard to determine the difference in quality, XLR is much better at removing the sound in the room coming from behind the mic (the keyboard) which USB has no ability to do.
i see a lot of people recommending voicemeeter as an alternative and while the program is great (i've personally used it before) it has a big con. voicemeeter is notorious for bugging out during a recording or a live stream and either completely muting your audio or going static and robotic. the only way to reset it is to shut down the software and open it back up again. however, when you're recording or live streaming, you often don't notice it happening. it's been a while since i've used voicemeeter (stopped for that very reason) and unless they've completely patched that issue, i wouldn't recommend it as an alternative
so wait, i HAVE to connect my headphone to the mic? otherwise the software cant do it's thing properly? i have been doing this just fine for ages with VACs and voicemeeter... all this software does is create VACs and then you use the windows audio config (available since april 2018 if i am not wrong) to set where each application goes...
I find that the Wave Link software causes the Windows Service "Windows Audio" to use nearly 10% of my CPU in Windows 10. Does anyone else have this problem?
If your doing youtube and need a good mic just buy an at2020 for 100$ ur not gonna hear a difference if your making music it has a very low noise floor so mixing will make anything u record sound professional i use it myself
they're completely different content, ksi makes entertaining content and humour while these are reviews and only fit to some people who are looking for microphones
Literally could not hear an actual difference between the Wave and any of the other microphones. This is why we love elgato
For you all who want the mic test
6:37
The other mics may have more clarity because they are closer to his mouth with the taller stand which wouldnt be an issue if you are using a boom arm.
Love your edits, love your videos all the way from Jamaica..

I think I prefer the Rode. It has a nice warm sound to it very similar to an XLR.
Who likes the dramatic intro? ;) - Jed
Me
Nope it doesnt really suit tech
The dramatic intro was great 👍
It was great :)
@@alfieuphill fair point!
Wave 1 sounds damn near identical to all the other ones to me.
Iknr
Tbh the deciding factor for me was the phenomenal software that comes with it
The sound so identical and for that price as well, not to forget the softwaree
The GO XLR has a software which it requires for the desk to work, the software is updated 😎

Actually that is not the only way to restart it, their is a "reset audio engine" option in the big "Menu" button its literally the first option.
@@zombie_w33d doesn’t really matter since you typically only notice it happening when it’s too late
This guy is such a knacker
My opinion -
1. Rode NT-USB
2. Wave 1 / AT P48 (tie)
3. AKG C214
idk if its just me but ur the only person I've watched that showed me whats in the box
Wave one has a really midrange sound, no sharp noises and no low booms
so wait, i HAVE to connect my headphone to the mic? otherwise the software cant do it's thing properly? i have been doing this just fine for ages with VACs and voicemeeter...

Same question here

AKR best out all them for me and thanks for yet agen another super vid
Keep up the great work on all your videos across all your channels;
@TechFlow I love all your channels :) Nice Intro!
That Castle of Illusion music....
the sound test sound almost the same
edit: the last one you can hear the differents much clear but make sense
I find that the Wave Link software causes the Windows Service "Windows Audio" to use nearly 10% of my CPU in Windows 10.
Does anyone else have this problem?
they all sound the same for me cant heard any changes to the sounds to be honets
Was the initial test done without any alterations or was it adjusted?
Keep up with the good work
awesome review bud
is the wave 1 plugged into a mixer ?
Did you test if the microphone picks up the sound when you press the knob? I can not find it in the video.
The wave microphone is most definitely the wave
Could you plug this into an Xbox?
0:20 brooooo its an mic review not an james bond trailer 🤣
Can anyone provide me with the link for where to get the audio technica 48 that he sampled midway? The white xlr mic. I cannot find it anywhere.
Placing the mics actually on the keyboard is not very fair for the typing test.
Great vid alix and Jed
make a review of a ubiquiti product, but a outdoor, example a rocket dish or someting of your wireless bussiness, are the most view video of yours

The rode mic sounds louder than the el gato one.
Because he was closer to it or nah?
@@cameronmma9576 your meant to be close to the elgato mic
Bro love from uae 🇦🇪
lad, I get 500ms response time at my place and I use an ethernet
Can you please do a 21 and me review?
i’m sold
My opinion-
Shure sm7b
NT USB is better. more bass and depth
6:40 audio test
the sound test sound almost the same
it was one sale so i just bought one for $90
what about voicemeeter? can that be used instead of wave link?
Really sorry to bring this up, but er, hmmm... CLEAN SHIRT?....
Its ridiculous how people that put a tonne of effort into videos get less views then people that record and post. (Ksi)
they're completely different content, ksi makes entertaining content and humour while these are reviews and only fit to some people who are looking for microphones
Ello Govn'a
DHL sucks!
Surprised it arrived at all.
good
wave 1 is best
I just can't even start....so wrong
Halo
r/titlegore
Personally, the akg sound much worse than the wave one!
u need a mixer with it to sound better and software does alot if usb mics are not trash but xlr mics got more abilities
Sub botting
