Seeing this video, though you might be interested to know that Eddie Allen (the actor who did the voice of Desslok in the original "Star Blazers" dub) will be appearing for the first time at a science fiction convention this March 26-28 at I-Con in Stony Brook NY, along with Amy Howard-Wilson (Nova), Tom Tweedy (Venture), and Ken Meseroll (Wildstar). (I'd post a link but RUclips doesn't seem to like URLs in comments... just google I-CON for info!)
The pictures are good, but the background sound grates on you. You should have done something a little better. Maybe turn it into an amv music vid, showing him off or something......
Will we ever get a perfect video of Desslok? And this WAS done on windows movie maker, I'd like to try my hand at it again someday, perhaps done with Yamato 2199 and Yamato 2202 footage included, but, I'm afraid, the Desslok Chant IS American, so that'll have to stay.
I think I'll wait until Yamato 2202 has finished before I try doing another video of Desslok. After THAT...as far as it's gotten, it'll be a far better tribute.
the live action movie was cool, even though i now prefer Yamato 2199, which i saw a few months after the live action. personally i am pretty cool with alien-like gamilons instead of human-like gamilons. you must admit that men in blue makeup would just look cheesy in the live action.
