I love your art style and interpretation of the song. Truly Amazing! Did you know is the original poem the author finds the boiler in an abandoned sea vessel that had been frozen over in the ice!
@@nobredoesart5545 dude I've commented here before, but I'm an oil rig worker close to the border of the North West Territories, a tool pusher. I put this on for the boys at the hole over the loud speaker and everyone of the men there jammed out hard to it. I know you only did the animation for this but wow, does it hold a special place in my heart. I watch this every time I'm feeling down.
Just watched Jacob Geller’s video, and this gave me new appreciation for the song. I can imagine the ghastly sight the narrator saw when he returned to the cabin and saw the embered corpse. If you do end up adding to it be sure to upload!
Kind of. The verses (many of which are cut from the song, which I wish they weren’t; it cuts out the whole atmospheric middle section of the narrator losing his mind as he travels with Sam’s corpse) are by Robert Service from the days of the Klondike gold rush. Boyer set it to these chords to accompany Geller’s video. If anyone wants to play this the chords are: C/(C7)C/F/C | C/(C7)C/F/G | C/(C7)C/F/Fm | C/(F)Fm/(C)G7/C
This song, and just the short story in general hold a very special place in my heart because it was my grandfather's favorite story, and was read at his funeral. I don't have much quality feedback to give, other than I think you really did it justice, and you should be very proud of your work. I think my grandfather would have liked it too.
THANK YOU SO MUCH,, I didn't see this comment for a while, since I tend to not check my notfis at all, but, I teared up when I read this. I hope your grandfather would've liked it too!
Beautiful; fantastic work! I was looking for a version of this song with something a little more visual (if even just lyrics) so I could share it with some friends and I'm glad I found this!
This has been one of my favorites poems for a while now, I love the animation you put together and I was surprised to see someone had made a song for it too.
So so good. This song has altered by brain chemistry over the course of the last few days and seeing this animation has exacerbated the issue lol. Wouldn't have it any other way. Great job and hope you're well!
So much pride and love bursting with every frame. I absolutely enjoyed and adored the experience and much like the song, I’m always so sad when it comes to an end. Bravo! You are an amazing artist!
I like the style of animation you used. "the song by the same name by Seth Boyer, and inspired by the video Fear of Cold by Jacob Geller." If it's not too late, you should credit the real originator, the poet Robert Service.
The style of this video is simply perfect for the song. The half/half with the cotton and the snow was just amazing. Jacob Geller On Top!
Delightful graphic illustration of this ballad! You captured the dark humor perfectly.
Hehe, glad it came through!!
I love your art style and interpretation of the song. Truly Amazing! Did you know is the original poem the author finds the boiler in an abandoned sea vessel that had been frozen over in the ice!
I did! I researched the hell out of this song, but a cabin was easier to do, and fit the song!! but thank you so much!!

Dude
DUDE
you made this _for_ Jacob Geller?! Man I thought this was an old folk song! Brilliant! I'm subbing
Oh! I didn't make it! Seth Boyer did! Amazing musician, really! I just made the animated part! But thank you
@@nobredoesart5545 still beautiful. Still subbing 💙
It's an super classic folk poem, but the song I believe is an original adaptation of it!

Thank you

My father recited this poem all the time when I was young.

Nice animation. And I enjoyed the musical interpretation.
I wish you didn't leave out some of the lines.

Every few months I stumble upon this video and every time i watch it I'm just as delighted by your style as I was that first time.
This has been one of my favorites poems for a while now, I love the animation you put together and I was surprised to see someone had made a song for it too.

Absolutely wonderful animation, beautiful in all ways!
So, uhh, how's New Eden?
I love this! The song is great and your animation and style is so nice and pretty
I love this so much!!! Thank you for making this.
Great animation! Perhaps there should be some credit given to the author Robert Service as well. It's a bit of a stretch to say Seth Boyer wrote it.
That is an incredibly good point, honestly. The version I used was Seth Boyer's so that's why I did it like that but, you are totally right
Your art style is phenomenal
So so good. This song has altered by brain chemistry over the course of the last few days and seeing this animation has exacerbated the issue lol. Wouldn't have it any other way. Great job and hope you're well!

That was horrible and offensive
