I like you're history episodes and historically inspired battles the Best wish my computer could handle more than 20'000 man battles I would love to help you guys out.
Can you do a video on the best books for roman tactics or battles. Like field journals and such. Not just the Romans but that era. Thanks ! Love these vids
I've been trying to make this engagement happen in the preview build but everytime I attack an enemy encampment they pack up and run away. If I make a camp and sit there then no one attacks me. I'll keep trying though
Hey Oakley, like always great material, keep up a good work. Have you ever considered making tutorial about particular army with builds and pros and cons? Like when you mention at the end of this video that spartans loose horribly when loosing their flanks. PS. Need to say that today I won pretty easly my two first 2vs2 multi battles with use of some of your tactic's. Thank you.
I've thought of making tutorial videos but things have changed so drastically with the patches that the tactics and faction balance has been all over the place. It has only just been stabilizing finally but now we are almost on to Attila
hey oakley, i normally don't write comments, but what do you think of GEM or SweetFX in Rome 2? These massive battles would look even more awesome with graphic mods... anyway, keep it up, i can't have enough of you videos!
Hey Oakley, first of all, love the videos as always. Second, how often do you find big battles like these? I have a good internet connection and a solid rig but whenever I join one of these big battles, it's like watching it on powerpoint.
I am usually able to just pop into random lobbies when I get on. Usually they run pretty well but its best to check before starting the game just how laggy things might be. Usually if the chat bar is lagging then the game will too
It should do a tactics video... I mean I know you talk about it in all of your videos but I mean like you actually slowing it down in a 1v1 and taking your fav nations and talking about how to use them and what to do in a lot of detail or something...
Hey. That was a really intense battle. I liked it. Do you have a link to the mod that enhanced the back ground effects? I think the sunset/rise was absolutely stunning! Thanks
I have pre-ordered all the total wars since Napoleon, but money is getting tight. Do you think that Attila is worth the money straight of the bat? Thanks!
TheGamingCanadian Never ever pre-order. You're basically telling CA: "I'll give you my money regardless of whether you turn out a polished product or a rushed, half-assed piece of junk."
Hey, awesome battle!! I like watching your channel, you play very well. Do you know alot about computers? I want to buy a decent system for Atilla :D Any reccommendations would be great, $600 range possible? Keep up the awesome work!
It should get you to atleast high settings 2 things wich are important is a solid processor late gen i 5 will do a proper video card id say 7870 hd radeon from AMD since those cost less and are still pretty beefy if you have a pc use the hdd dvd and possible ssd from your pc it saves money also if the wattage is good use your old power Block and case these are all for keeping the cost down i would advice a proper fitting motherboard in wich the processor attachable this should get you too 60 fps on high to Very high no matter what troops move on the field
the dutch flavour thanks, i dont know too much about computers though, do you have any example computers i can buy that will have great grapics and speed?
It would be much better if you didnt do the slow-mo.It bores the shit out of me and I would prefer to miss some minor parts of the battle instead of wathcing it like that Anyone agrees?
Could you do a massive battle with Caesar fighting the Gauls? A big 4v4 fight in Gaul would be awesome to see.
Looking really forward to your future documentaries! Also really epic battle. :)
Thanks man, really excited for this next documentary I'm putting together
Just got out of school and came back to see a new vid ;) I'm so happy

I sure appreciate the large battle. tks much.
My computer couldn't handle a battle like this, any recommendations on upgrades or desktops?
Hey oakley!! If a horde's camp is attacked in the campaign, will it be a land or a siege battle (like a fort in Rome 2)?
i never got why you couldn't encircle a fort as you do a settlement...
I've been trying to make this engagement happen in the preview build but everytime I attack an enemy encampment they pack up and run away. If I make a camp and sit there then no one attacks me. I'll keep trying though

Do some sort of Mithridatic wars battle. Rome on one side, then Pontus and/or Armenia on the other.
You sound kinda sick... I've heard nasonex is good for sinus :p but really awesome battle I like when you do massive battles, especially sieges
haha yeah I am in the process of recovering, thanks for the recommendation lol
