    Thank you very much .... I was prescribed Theolux (in Italy) and I see that luckily it has the flat top on it. I even spoke to my chemist before buying it as I've known her for many many years, and she confirmed it was a good product. The only thing I don't like is that it takes ages for that drop to drop down and sometimes it misses my eye coz I've waited so long.

    I use Munro 128 every night I buy from Amazon. What should I look for to identify a clone? I don’t have a clue.

    • @DryEyeFoundation
      @DryEyeFoundation  Год назад +2

      We found typos on the fake Muro 128 box. In the version DrB received, there were two tubes of ointment even though it was not labeled as a twin pack, and the tube tips would need to be cut or punctured to be able to use them - a major red flag. images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/63d73206be666022b1fe2cce/b5220bf2-1293-4146-a1a3-0c7cb62a2cc7/New+product+%2854%29.png?format=750w

    Thanks for great info! What about the CVS or Walgreen brands of eye drops that you can buy in the store? I have used these generics for Refresh Plus or Alaway without problems in the past. They do have single use vials. I have an unopened value size of 70 by the CVS brand. Also, should we avoid brand names sold and shipped by Amazon itself? Ugh...

      Hi there, please ask your doctor if you can use the nano dropper with your PF tears. The company provides a list of compatible eye drops here: nanodropper.com/compatibility/ but you must talk to your doctor before making changes to your medications.

    I have a question . On the ximonth presbyopia drops , they have a cap that is supposed to go back on I thought since there is so much in the vial. I use a viral 4 times before I throw it away . Is this an issue ?

    • @DryEyeFoundation
      @DryEyeFoundation  22 дня назад

      Thanks for your question.
      We would be a lot more concerned about the safety of the eye drop itself than whether re-using the vials is safe.
      First, there are no legitimate over-the-counter presbyopia eye drops. Any company who is offering a product that claims to do this, we would have serious safety concerns about because are undoubtedly manufacturing the eye drops in a completely unregulated facility (i.e. that does not get inspected).
      We have looked into Ximonth and purchased their eye drops. This is definitely not a reputable company whose products you can trust. Considering that people have literally died or lost their site from contaminated eye drops, we strongly advise against using these eye drops.
      If you're interested in prescription eye drops for presbyopia there are legitimate options.

    Regarding the Systane products, Is there a change of appearence to the Systane Complete? I had used Complete and it was clear liquid, but a new bottle I have, has white cloudy liquid. This new bottle makes your eye feel like it has been glued.

    • @LisaTao
      @LisaTao 4 месяца назад

      My systane complete PF is milky white color be it the sample I got from my ophthalmologist or the ones I bought later in store. They don’t make my eyes feel glued at all. They’re in fact the only ones that give me relief.

      @@mrsjohnson1743yes it’s milky white, not to worry. It has oil in it for meibomian glands disfunction. My guess is that it’s emulsified so it’s milky white like other eye drops that with oil in it to target MGD. I have 4 different brands that are similar types only one of them is not milky white.

    Have you heard of Eyeganics? Do you feel they're safe?

    • @DryEyeFoundation
      @DryEyeFoundation  Год назад +3

      Hi Angie,
      Eyeganics is listed on DailyMed. The ingredient list is straightforward and appears to be FDA OTC monograph compliant. We were told it's made in a well respected European manufacturing facility. We don't know of any reason to be concerned about it.

      @@DryEyeFoundation thank you. It surprises me that it's manufactured in Europe though. I was under the impression it was completely US originated.
      I have used it a couple of times, and I follow the doctor who created it on social media. It seems to work well. I like that it has few ingredients, and that they're organic.

      @@angiepattillo3599 There are very few options for small companies or individuals to get eye drops contract manufactured in the US - one of the main ones was more or less shut down by the FDA in 2019. There are some stellar facilities in Europe and when it's a question of eye drops imported to the US they are all under FDA oversight. I spoke with the creator and was impressed with all the effort that was put into this project.
