Absolutely love the raw footage and your transparency! You admitting that you didn't feel like running that Thursday really makes me feel less alone as someone that is visually impaired and runs outside when I have too or need the fresh air but still have days when my brain doesn't want too. So true, most of the time it takes your body half the distance or time to get into a zone but that's mostly due to residual fatigue vs. if you're fresh out of the box, you naturally would have more internal motivation on those days/phases. Marathon training has many days like or not when we don't feel like it ESPECIALLY in the winter.
100% - dang. So inspiring to hear you getting out like that with a visual impairment. Knowing you're not letting that be a limiting factor in doing the hard thing fires me up! Keep going!!
@@flobergruns I will bro, thanks a lot- means a lot! Definitely not because I refuse to be mediocre at something I am very good at passionate about despite a physical limitation. Coincidentally, if I had regular vision or one day, i probably would have become a baseball player and running as cross-training HAHA. 😉 To put into perspective you are very elite compared to most runners so when you feel you are slow or "just off" some day or don't feel it; there's ambitious runners that would do anything be at the level one day. However, I recognize and respect the sacrifice it takes! 🏃♂
Life has its dark moments- we can’t escape that fact. But running a quarter mile without realising you haven’t re-started your watch…. That’s next level bro 😢😂
Great running, Floberg! Love seeing the treadmill runs. I am stuck inside in New Delhi for this build due to the air quality so love seeing you on your machine.
It’s been brutal in Toronto every time i get ready to run outside i hope for a reasonable temp and open the weather app to see feels like -20, then decide treadmill it is
I used to feel like I had to apologize for running on the treadmill. I finally am like who cares… I’ll do what I want to do and who cares what others think. As long I’m mixing TM and outdoor runs then all good!!
Let’s go Eric! Can definitely relate to the 4.30 alarm call in the morning for a medium-long run… stormy rain and 60mph+ winds coming to England but it’s gotta be done. Keep grinding for McKirdy 👊🏻
These videos always get me so fired up! 🔥The music choice and cinematography is always so on point. Man, do I admire your dedication to the treadmill though, I wouldn't be able to do it 😅 Super stoked for next week too, was tracking you the whole race. It's always so awesome to see when the BPN crew gets together! 😁👏
So thrilled to have this videos back! I´ve been struggling with that same "my peak me" vs "me now" comparisson these days and its a hard one. Just have to hope for the best i guess!
Finished a elevation 4 mile tempo this morning, felt like garbage. Literally felt like when you finished a hard race and you puked right after. Still got through it and enjoyed breakfast while watching the new video. The build is lookimg good so far, you got this Eric 👍
I really needed to hear the easy run part, I’m finding myself slowing pick up pace on easy runs lol. It something we just gotta keep reminding ourselves, but it’ll pay off big time. Great vid brotha! 🤟🏼
Something I learned the hard way is that easy is a feel, not a pace or heartrate. As soon as I started to run by feel again, thats when marathon progress began again.
Yup! I had to run closer to 9 min miles on Tuesday. I was just so insanely sore. I normally progress through easy runs, but literally couldn't on that one.
Let’s go. Personally I’ve found 3 days a week is ideal for me with push + quads on Sunday, pull + Hammies on Tuesday, and overall full body Friday. Helps keep the legs fresh!
The heartrate discussion was enlightening. I’m far less fast/fit than you, but I also know I can run a half marathon at low 170s just fine so I think comparison needs to be tempered with relative experience. Appreciate the vids as always!
I am glad you came to realization to run the easy run really easy, I thought you ran them very fast last year, it’s so misleading to figure out especially when you feel you have full tank to go..great vlog!
Had that same feeling on my 8 mile easy run yesterday. Didn't feel it but I knew it needed to get done. Makes it even harder when there's snow and cold weather. #BeAboutIt
Due to time, kids, work, kids sports, coaching those sports I can’t run on a treadmill, also just can’t do it. The -7 degree weather last week was rough but we made it though. The 14 plus this week feels tropical 😂
Floburg love your videos man! First time Dad here in December so pretty inspired by how you manage work, life, running and family! Just wanted to pickup on your threshold pace which you said is about 173 bpm and you can only hold that for about 15 mins? Does this by definition then mean that it’s harder than what we would say is threshold which is what your 1 hr pace is roughly? Just curious tbh…. Greetings from Ireland all the same!!
I always thought I had an insanely low max heartrate with 176. My garmin keeps changing it to a higher value, but I never really get higher, even in my hardest workouts.
And probably 12 soon 💀 - I may do some bench, curls, & chin ups here and there, but it won't be a specified focus. I think I want to save more of that for the summer.

thank you for sharing your heart rate zones, it can be difficult to understand effort levels when comparing with other people so it really helps
Awesome Video, man. The beginning absolutely killed me LOL. The A roll set up is absolutely perfect. 70+ mile week sounds completely insane to me.
Life has its dark moments- we can’t escape that fact. But running a quarter mile without realising you haven’t re-started your watch…. That’s next level bro 😢😂
Thank you for making such high quality content. I’m currently training for my first marathon and documenting the experience.
Hope training is going well!!
Unbelievable production quality on these vids. Killing it man 🙌
Great running, Floberg! Love seeing the treadmill runs. I am stuck inside in New Delhi for this build due to the air quality so love seeing you on your machine.
Haha thank you for the treadmill admission - I feel better for capitulating to the Polar Vortex here in Toronto and hopping on the Treadmill
It’s been brutal in Toronto every time i get ready to run outside i hope for a reasonable temp and open the weather app to see feels like -20, then decide treadmill it is
Yeah, sometimes it's just way too cold haha
I used to feel like I had to apologize for running on the treadmill. I finally am like who cares… I’ll do what I want to do and who cares what others think. As long I’m mixing TM and outdoor runs then all good!!

Thanks for watching, as always, Christian! Just gotta get the right youtube videos and music to listent to haha!
So thrilled to have this videos back! I´ve been struggling with that same "my peak me" vs "me now" comparisson these days and its a hard one. Just have to hope for the best i guess!
Clark has also convinced me to run my easy runs slower. What a legend.

Always love a good vibe video to break up these winter weeks! Beauty in the monotony and also in shaker bottle slowmo shots
⚡️⚡️⚡️

Let’s go!! Keep grinding!
Appreciate you sharing the dad moments! That's for being real with us! 😆

Yup! I already feel so much fresher on the faster days. We'll see how much it correlates for the huge Jeff Wednesday workouts.
Cant wait for the next video man! That was a good cliffhanger 😅
My entertainment while I have lunch. Keep crushing it man!

Encouraging to see how hard working you are floberg!
Trying! One day at a time!!

Good to hear that feedback!! Thanks for watching!
I'm loving those high angle treadmill shots
I am glad you came to realization to run the easy run really easy, I thought you ran them very fast last year, it’s so misleading to figure out especially when you feel you have full tank to go..great vlog!
Thank you!! Ready to target every workout this block!
Never have I ordered anything this fast as soon as I saw they are back in stock in the video!!
Yeah, I probably should buy 3 more hahaha
best time of the week hit!
Love the heart rate is relative bit, Eric. It’s so easy to compare low BPM you see on Strava and just feel off. Compare to yourself!
Had that same feeling on my 8 mile easy run yesterday. Didn't feel it but I knew it needed to get done. Makes it even harder when there's snow and cold weather. #BeAboutIt
Keep grinding!!
@flobergruns No other way! Also, my Nathan 14oz flask just came in. Excited to give it a go! I appreciate the recommendation.
I have to start using the framing that I'm grinding on sleeping in
Look into Precor commercial grade treads!! I snagged one when a local gym was closing up, cannot reccomend enough!!
Brick by brick 💪🏽

Love your journey. Do you find your coros watch off much from the mileage compared to your treadmill?
Let’s go Floberg!!!!
HIGHLY recommend both LAERAL LUNGES and COSSACK Sq for the Adductors and Hips!
Just off a 10k easy@ 5:30per k pace. Straight into the bath and get this notification! Oh there is nothing better

Your knowledge of crush limestone made me Smile

Oh crap all that snow and ice, I stick to the crazy humidity and 80F temps
Might have missed it but what type of treadmill are you running on? Good luck in training!
Another great episode. Curious about the suction cup camera mount. Who makes it?
www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1651832-REG/ifootage_vs_118_spider_crab_vehicle.html + a noga arm 🤘🏼
@ thanks beast
I definitely tagged you in my story and said "be about it" but no frostbite! Just runny nose haha
hahahaha I think that may be what inspired that joke
Great video what treadmill do u have
Thanks! NordicTrack Commercial 1750 🤘🏼
What are the bricks on the wall for?
Stacking literal bricks is brilliant.
Also heart rate will be higher in cold weather as your body is working harder diverting blood to stay warm.
Saw this and clicked so fast
Thanks for watching!!
@ OHHH u don’t have to thank me
What treadmill? 🧐
That suction cup on the way gave me anxiety
😬 but, there were pillows...
Back into the 11’s! You gonna be lifting any upper body?
And probably 12 soon 💀 - I may do some bench, curls, & chin ups here and there, but it won't be a specified focus. I think I want to save more of that for the summer.
3:32 “winter green”??😂
What brand of beanies do you wear?
Sadly, this company doesn’t make them anymore.
2:08 while I'm running outside by -30C 😂😂😂
I feel this. In the winter, it feels like -2 is balmy short weather😂
Do you sing in a band?
At my church sometimes!
Pretty sure those soft flasks are just rebranded Hydrapak, $30 for the 500ml.
Yeah, but the handle/strap isn’t the same.
Notification Gang!
ayyyyyyy
@2:15 😂
😬
What did I tell you about that red hat 🫨
so, technically a 70.25mi week 😂
lol no, it was technically 72.87
clark is the ..... goat?
Undeniably.
You should train with NICK BARE? 2:30 prep together, who knows training tgt, some juice💉 might run off on you for extra oomph
So did the flu just hit all of us in December? 😂
Yes.
We all know you did not run that 1/4 of a mile 😉
lol
