Great to see people enjoying my content!
Couple of things:
My quick laps is used with the hoodcam. It helps me judge corners better. But I use the close cam for the recording lap. That looks natural for the majority of the viewers. It's rarely the case that the fastest lap is achieved on the close cam.
As for amount of laps, well I do as many as needed untill I think I can't do better unless 2 cars are like 0.01 seconds gap. But when the outcome of the ranking won't change, I won't try to get a better lap.
As for tuning. I think that the majority of the people don't tune their car. When I do these tests I do it in a way that benefits the majority of the people. That's why I do these tests with untuned cars. That's why in Most Wanted, I didn't use Junkman parts. Because how often do you have a fully junked man car. That's why in Pro Street, I only use stage 3 performance upgrades rather then stage 4. Because how often do you have a fully stage 4 upgraded car.
It's also to keep it fair between cars. I want the cars to be the same performance wise and tune wise. In Pro Street yes, I do tune the cars but I tune every car the same (except the drivetrain). But that is because otherwise some cars would be close to undrivable.
As for the curcuit well I wanted a curcuit that has everything you want in a test curcuit. A straight, low speed corners, high speed corners, a braking point and a decent length. This was just the perfect one.
In Most Wanted, according to VLT-Ed, the junkman parts aren't figured into the top spec performance of a car. They're a separate modifier to the existing stats: for instance, junkman suspension multiplies drag by 0.9, spring stiffness by 1.05, and so on.
But in Pro Street, the top specs of each car *are* based around the stage 4 components. The Nissan 240SX has only 5 gears with all stage 3 parts, but stage 4 transmission unlocks the coveted 6th gear that makes it even more powerful in speed and drag races. VLT-Ed suggests that stage 3 parts are only 75-80% of the car's peak performance.
I understand not testing the junkman in MW05 or optimal tunes in Carbon, but Pro Street has such a wild variation in performance from one upgrade level to the next - coupled with many cars simply being nigh uncompetitive in regular late-game events, that stage 4 testing is a consideration - at least in my view.

@@ATomatoIsAFruit The reason I chose not to use stage 4 parts in NFS Pro street is because of luck. Everyone can use Stage 3 parts at will but to unlock Stage 4 parts either requires luck or cheats. And if you're not using cheats. How often does it happen that you have a car fully equipped with stage 4 parts? It rarely happens with me anyways. This is the same reason I didn't test the MW cars with the Junkman Parts.

The Corvette lags the game on older consoles, like the PS 2. Modify it, it will accelerate faster than the console can process and the frame rate drops. How ungodly unfair.....for your opponents.

Skyline and Evo have the same handling except that the Evo has little more acceleration than the Skyline while the skyline has more top speed than Evo but still I love both of these car. Also the monster hell in Carbon the Corvette Z06
Corvette and Viper is BEAST in this game. Even Viper got soooooo freakin fast acceleration that make it hard to control

The Evo is super underrated in this game. You can overtake Darius easily after the double closed corners, in the open one.
It has A LOT of grip, can reach really good speeds, and, for a game that doesn't actually have a lot of straight lines, can deal with the C6 and the Carrera with ease, depending on the circuit/sprint. Just bc it can keep the momentum in most of the corners.
Try to test it's limits and tune it to cover open corners and get some acceleration. You won't regret it.

It was the 1st car i used to beat carbon when i was way younger, the last time i beaten it was with a Grip tired R34 Skyline and overtook darius at 70% in the canyon because i stuck to the outside and took advantage of Grip while Darius stuck to the inside going slow best W i ever had in NFS Carbon

Anyone who played this game remembers how brutal the Viper and the Corvette are in this game, I’ve gotten both cars up to like 290 on a straight before and no one could touch me. On the contrary when facing Inferno’s Viper’s and Vette’s you better make sure you have a really strong car because they will catch you they are beasts of cars for muscle cars in this game holy shit

Lots and lots of general racing experience.
Its also about the manual transmission . You are probably using auto and in this game at higher revs you get much more tracktion. But he's also very good at it
Yep. The Corvette is everyone's best bet of the game. That car is completely aggressive, more like it got nerfed lmao.
You can even beat Darius by using that car at the first curve on Eternity Pass. If you overtake him, there's a tiny chance that he will never overtake you because the Corvette has mega top speed compared to his Audi.
It takes practice to drive a Muscle Car. Corvette really stands out in this game and it can reach up to 200 MPH above when driving in the highway.
Corvette is the only muscle car that handles amazingly imo, nothing in its class comes close to how stable and grippy it is.
@@r3uvsgaming Comparing to the regular Corvette C6, the regular one is more honorable than Z06 according to the speed and acceleration.
Viper has even better acceleration.
@@NFS_Merchant depends on which Exotic or Tuner, we're talking about. I doubt a 350Z or Gallardo will out-manouver the Corvette, but a Carrera GT or Evo 9 absolutely will
Surely they nerfed The corvette and viper , more expeciefely the corvette's handling, it shoudive have the exotic handling level but that would be unfair for other classes of cars.

When you mastered using manual gears, the practice will pay off.
Viper has more asceleration and top speed but the corvette compensates in handling, i have no doubt it got nerfed because the corvette as a musclecar shoulded be the same as the viper's asceleration.

Ha, would have never thought that Corvette would be at the top. I didn't have Turbo Porshe in my version so SLR Merc was the best jack of all trades - super fast and very effective in police chases.

In my opinion the carrera gt is the best car of the game if it is well tuned and with manual transmission you can probably reach 507kmh!!! As i arrived, that very useful when doing short chases and the shortest of my chases lasted only 5 seconds!!

Easiest to use would definitely be the Evo but it simply isnt as quick at the Corvette. But the Corvette isnt terribly difficult to drive.

GT500, being one of the worst T3s, makes me never want to start with the Camaro SS, since the R34 and Carrera GT can be unlocked before facing Darius in the RX-8 and Brera paths.
Carrera GT being second place is one of the key reasons to start a career with the Alfa.
Don't forget the R34, GT500 and Carrera GT being exclusive unlocks to their careers.
See, I never got this. As far as I can remember, I could always buy any car no mater which starter car I choose.

@@jskylinegtr34 Never had that as far as I can remember. No matter what class I started with I could pick a car from another class pretty much straight after. It's obviously then that Neville and Sal will stay in their class. But I never had that problem.
So I guess on the collector's edition speedrun of carbon you would use the maxed out 240sx until you unlock the corvette and then finish the game

when I played Carbon I thought Carrera GT is the fastest all around, I didnt bother testing the mundane Corvette, I realized I might have been wrong once I discovered it was (spoiler alert!) the fastest car in Undercover, according to my tests at least :D

True but the corvette is regarded as the best car in the game and this track shows that.
The viper always had the problem of bad handling in need for speed and the Corvette is better in handling, not as a tuner, but as a muscle
I normally use the first track of quick race, for some reason Ford GT is the second fastest apart from Corvette, much faster than Carrera GT

How do you unlock the 911 turbo for career mode again?
The car is only in Collector's Edition. But if you have the PS2 version, it can't be driven in career mode. Only quick race. As for the Xbox 360 version, it's available through DLC and can be driven in career mode. It all comes down to what version of the game you have.

A lot actually, the stock viper, for example, sucks a lot, but fully upgraded its a true banger

I just unlock Mclaren SLR. Should i purchase that car or wait for meaner babies. Finally which car to buy, since i am racing with my original RX-7 in *Darius* territory. It's getting hard for me.
The SLR McLaren is defenetly worth it. It's a great car, looks gorgeous and sounds amazing.

@@shivankagrawal9764 As you saw in the video the Corvette is by far the best car. But all of those cars can easily defeat Darius. So for me, I'd pick the car that is the most fun to drive. And out of those 3, I'd pick the Murcièlago. But, if you can manage to unlock it, my favourite car to drive is the Ford GT. But that is a matter of personal opinion. If you want to know which is the best car, simply follow this video.

A lot of peeps, me included, want a remaster for this game. But I would hope this means content cut from the original game is implemented in the remaster, IF there ever should be one.
As for the Battle Royale mod? YES! But I have no clue how to get it. I can't confirm this. Apparently it's only available for PC. Is this true?

How did the Z06 beat the Carrera GT? Technically the GT has better handling AND top speed, and seems to have the same crazy acceleration as the Z06
You're wrong on the acceleration part. The Vette is just better on that part. So much so that even with the Carrera GT's better handling and Top Speed, the Carrera falls short. If you have to race on the highway, the Carrera is the better option. But since you rarely race there, the Corvette is simply faster and thus, the best career car in the game.
@@Marcy2200 I understand, but when viewing the statistics the acceleration seems to be the same for both cars.
And I did try out maxing the Corvette in the my cars section, the acceleration is INSANE. Quite higher than SLR. Haven't tried the Carrera GT yet.
I don't know the exact number for the top speed of both cars, but the Corvette can very well hit 290 kmh and you pretty much never go beyond that so I get what you said about the top speed

So the Corvette reaches upto 330 kmh when fully upgraded, the SLR McLaren goes all the way to 375. But it's really hard to reach that speed, so the Corvette wins
@@Marcy2200 All wrong. The acceleration of the Corvette Z06 is always the worst on this part, as I approved. I know the race time I see here is actually with the false skill, while others do have real ones. I'm here to say so because I really don't like cheaters.

You have to win the Bowen Avenue Race in Silverton. Which is in the Shady Pine area.

Skyline is really good in a Canyon duel due to its handling characteristics
This is one of the good reasons to choose RX-8 as the starting car.
