When i went to watch them live at Pukkelpop (Belgian Festival) a couple of years ago, they arrived 45 minutes late. Nearly half the people had already left the tent when they finally showed up. Apparently their instruments were lost on the plain to Belgium. They eventually managed to borrow some guitars from a helpful band also attending the festival, and had to improvise on the drums or something iirc. The performance was a magical and pure moment, in the middle of the heat & busyness of an 80.000 people festival. When they played Youth, which was their only well-known song at the time, Elena started to lose her voice a bit, overwhelmed by emotion, while the small crowd completely took over for her. This is why I always love introverted awkward weird or crazy people. They always have something fascinating and tend to be more artistic than the norm.
Everyone IS introverted awkward weird or crazy.
+PPplubployI would have to disagree with you, you can be super extrovert and a goof ball and still procreate powerful music that's profound and powerful. We all have many facets and creactvity lets you explore within.
+PPplubploy try listening to Keaton Henson, you know if you haven't already.
No is the same everyone is crazy in their own little way. It's just some choose to put on a costume instead of really expressing their true self.
+Dead poolmonkey its almost always a sign of need for self affirmation, if someone calls himself/herself crazy. Most people are pretty average. Its a hard thing to say that, but its the most realistic thing most of the time and requires very much confidence...
in the landfill song, the drummer was doing the things! well done drummer person, you nailed the drum things!!! :)
I love Daugher. She sounds so beautiful, and exactly like the studio recordings.
These songs make me so emotional... it's actually amazing
I love how this series breaks down a bit of the barriers between fans and musicians. They really are just talented people. Not some crazy untouchable ethereal gods or whatever. It makes me feel a lot more connected to the humanity of the artist.
'we are just awkward people in general' I just love that :)
Her laugh in the end. Goddammit. AGHGHH
I'm dead.
