"how you talk about things is how you think about things, and how you think about things dramatically influences how you feel" let's put this sentence on T-shirts.

I think people are being sarcastic when they use the ‘all or nothing’ words you mentioned. Thanks for the reminder to watching our language and how it affects our thinking and actions.

Thanks for commenting! I think you're right; there is often some sarcasm with all or nothing thinking. And like you mentioned, even when sarcastic, our words and language dramatically influence our feelings, often in ways we don't even realize. Thanks for watching!

I’ve been trying to change this for years, but my mother programmed me very well... unfortunately! 😆

It's amazing how much early language and relationships can shape us. Thankfully, the brain CAN change and learn new things. So you've got this! :)

This is a big issue for adult children of alcoholics. As adult children of alcoholics were trained don't thjnk, don't talk and don't feel. So, a lot of our emotions are cut off. Any thoughts?
