Nikon D5100 short film: Beautiful Summer

This short film was shot on a wonderful day in April 2011.
We used the Nikon D5100 and shot with the D-Movie function.
Lenses: Nikkor 50mm F/1.8, Nikkor 18-200mm
ISO: 100

D5100 is great! I saw comparisons to other cameras at snapsort (dot) com and I must say it is hands down the greatest camera under $1K for 2011! According to the site, even the GH2 and T3i could not stand up to it!

Can someone help me? I just bought a nikon D5100 and I want to film with it but it always stops filming after 16 seconds :/ I've got an 8GB SDcard and it's empty, so the card being full can't be the problem...

@enterfire012 What do you mean Nikon D5100 is good for macro while the Canon 60D is not? It depend on what lens you are using.

Nikon D5100 doesn't offer manual controls for video mode! What's up with that, NIkon?! I am sad to say but Canon 60D is kicking Nikon D5100's butt. Please, prove me wrong!

This was absolutely amazing! Could you comment on how you worked around the manual control limitations of the d5100? I like the images I get, however, they tend to not look cinematic like yours. Could this be a lens issue? I just use the lens that came with the camera. Thanks!
