HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS MOVIE IS. MY GREAT-GREAT GRANDMOTHER WAS A CHEYENNE/ARAPHO NATIVE AMERICAN. THIS MOVIE BRINGS TO LIFE THE WAY THINGS WERE BEFORE THE INVASION OF THE WHITES. AND THE INTRUSION OF NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE. IT IS NOT THE "INDIANS AND COWBOYS" OF THE HOLLYWOOD MOVIES. I WEPT AT THE END OF MOVIE AND WISHED I COULD OF WALKED WITH THEM.

Do you have a trailer/clip that includes the bar scene at the beginning of the movie, where Tom Berenger is on the floor drunk? I've been though some of your clips, I may have missed it. I know I'm years late asking this question, but would Love to see it if you have it. Thanks so much.

I have seen two versions of this film, one narrated by Tom and Barbra, and someone that I can not find his name. Anyways the closing narration by Barbra says it all about Cheyenne.
"Being part of a people whos reverance for the earth and each other, touches everything they say and do. Its like being part of the earth instead of a hurried traveler on it".

"Who's trade is war?" The original people of this continent only made war on each other in extreme circumstances. Most of the "war" you speak of involved counting coup. But war as you relate to it, was not the original peoples trade, that was the invaders from Europe, Spain, and later their byproducts, Mexicans. All but the Europeans we managed to displace from our lands. It's a pity we didn't have compound bows, perhaps then the whites would have remained east of the Mississippi much longer.

The cast were incredibly rude and arrogant to members of the Navajo nation at an NAC meeting near Tsalagi, NM. The Navajo were too polite to say anything when they were insulted, but I am white and can say the people from this movie were not a "credit to our race."
