I've got a 2007 sport edition and love it. 185k miles. Never had any issues. 4Runner is not designed to be a luxury vehicle. It's a utility vehicle and they keep it "old school." I personally love that. Great video.

love the 4runner if I had to own just one vehicle rest of my life it would be the 4runner.
I actually thought about buying a 4 runner over a tahoe or expedition. Just for the simple fact that the 4runner is going to LAST ME 4 EVER.
They are really sturdy and just do everything right with no issue.

I'm thinking the exact same thing. I had a Rav4 I bought used with 230K miles. Started everyday, never failed on me once. Okay, I had a fan belt go to pieces, put enough was left over to allow to get to a report shop. Love Toyota truck.
I've got a 2001 4 runner and love it. 220k+ miles and no sign of fading. And the 2019 is a worthy successor.
I need to buy some black rattle cans, however.

Our Winters are not NEARLY as extreme as Edmonton. But we have many hills. And I feel secure for my daughter, when she, or anyone else, drives it.
For sure, 4 wheel drive and good height. Keeping the speed down on corners is the only thing.

I really like the 4runner its the best TOYOTA SUV in my opinion its not that big like the landcruiser or even as expensive as the landcruiser unfortunately, toyota agency doesn't not offer it hear in the middle east they offer an other car the Prado which honestly i dont like it the same way i see the 4runner although i think they share the same engine under the hood
Do you think if i import a 4runner from Canada or the USA it would not be a problem in maintenance or spare parts!
Likely there are always opportunities to acquire parts for maintenance as they are common vehicles and there are always grey market cars of other types that can stay on the road. The internet really does make the world a much smaller place.

was close on buying this but realized 270hp is not enough.. this truck has issues getting up to speed on highways and passing

4 Runner is an ultimate reliable vehicle, the only thing I don’t like about it is it didn’t do well in the crash test, 25% overlapping crash test the A pillar was completely bended and broke, don’t feel very safe with that test result.
That may have something to do with being a slightly older chassis design, but all in all a great vehicle and since it sits higher than most vehicles, fortunately it may less of an issue than something that sits lower. Cheers

Nice! I hear ya, it looks very stealthy.
The 4 Runner is a class leader, particularly when it comes to reliability and value. However, Mark, let's face it. The Toyota 4Runner design team must be the laziest ever having done precious little over the last 10 years or more. Toyota needs to drive better MPG and the towing capacity as opposed to black painting few bits and giving it a hipster inspired designation. Get going Toyota and move it the design forward.
This is just a 4runner limited, just blacked the chrome pieces. I would get a used gx460 and save more money plus have a v8 and a more luxury ride.

Nightshade, but no black or dark ceiling cloth. Why Toyota would you make a black edition with light colored cloth?!?!? So easy to get dirty and horrible and I won't start on the horrendous MPG.
They are certainly not great on fuel
It is a shame that the vehicle is designed like a truck, drives like a truck and feels like a truck....though it can only tow 5,000 pounds..... compared to the Armada +8000, or Durangos +7000, even a BMW X5 can handle 6,000 !!!
I love the Armada but I know it will not fit in my garage
