You can really see him improving by the way he holds his tail, as he gradually starts to hold it up more :)

Getting another dog or puppy doesn't always work out well. Although Sherpa responded well to Key, Sherpa was much younger then. But, what do I know?

Once again, this shows what a considerate, loving dad you are to Sherpa. The worry in your voice and face before, and the relief and love after, it's just so heartwarming to see. Sherpy did look quite woebegone in the van, but he pricked up his ears on hearing your voice. So sweet. The two of you really need each other. It's not just Sherpa who's not used to being alone, is it, Jamie? ... I am glad you're both well and happy again.

A few years ago my ex's dog Jack was attacked by another dog. I went to the vet's to collect him and practically bawled the whole way back because he was trembling after 'coming down' from the anesthesia. Long story short...I'm glad to see Sherpa (and Dad!) doing well.

My pup got attacked by a stray, I rushed her to the vet, and we have never seen the dog again. Scary for both her and me. Hard to see her going into the vet and having to be carried because she couldn’t walk. All ended fine, but I am still afraid of off leash dogs, where I never was before. Hope your pup is doing okay. We just had our first walk with a neighbor friend and her dog and got through it without incidents. For us the mental healing is taking longer than the physical… I guess my Irish German didn’t help.
@@GingerKraut I’m Mexican-Spaniard American (and somehow some Irish in our family! Lol).. and I would feel the same as you. Anyone would want to track down that lady and it wouldn’t go well but that’s how we feel when it comes to the people or pets we love. 😉
Your heart breaks when you see your beloved animal suffering. Sherpa has a wonderful dad parent who is gentle, kind, caring and responsible and this is heartwarming to watch. Bless you both amazing critters!!! Best always, Jan

Oh, Jamie, you are like every other person with pets he loves, worried sick till they are home again. Phew! 😓That was a stressful ordeal that Jamie handled with his usual good nature and grace under pressure. What a relief to get positive news that all is well. Sherpa recovered brilliantly especially given his age. It was wonderful to see him run and talk and get silly once again! Well done Jamie and Sherpa!!

That's why I stay with kiara. For the pre-op, the surgery, the recovery. I am half with her in her cage. And I doesn't close. Half an hour after surgery, going home and in the afternoon big walk. As he just sleeps during surgery. As she was the last time already 15, they give minimum. So the moment surgery is done, 5 minutes later she is awake. And after half an hour she is active... lol... so better to go home. And only the cone of shame when I am not around her. I even sleep next to her on the ground the first night... yeap... she is my girl and I understand you very much... it is horrible when you have to wait.
Aww Bless him, Sherpa will be back to his usual chatty self, before you know it. Glad his procedure went well. Always a pleasure to watch you two. Much Love to you both.

Sherpa probably thoroughly enjoyed the chicken balls from his favorite Chinese takeaway place. Sherpa was chatty and happy once he was over the anesthesia from his eye surgery. I'm so glad that the lump was benign. Enjoy your road trip Jamie and Sherpa.☺️💖

Great that Sherp has got the all clear from the vet. It was so good when Sherpa got his voice back. Jamie was a great nurse, getting our fav dog back to normal.

This brought tears to my eyes. It is clear how much you love Sherpa. About as much as I love my fur babies. I couldn’t imagine life without them. Pure love ❤️ So grateful that all went well in surgery and that he is looking so good in recovery

I would be absolutely lost without my Lilly. I get so jittery just leaving her at the vet for her once a year tooth cleaning. The older they get, the more things could go sideways, and in the end, it's our minds that play the "what if" games, and our fur baby's are fine in the end. You were brave. Sherpa was bummed. In the end, all was well.
I'm so happy everything went well with Sherpa. It's so good to see him getting back to himself. I know you were really worried. I know the feeling all to well. It's so stressful to just leave our furbabies at the vets for routine exams. It's worse when they aren't well or need surgery. It's beyond nerve racking. I have a son & a beautiful furbaby (dog) Sierra. She's my profile picture. I can't stand to see either of them sick, hurt or in pain. I don't care how old they get or I get. It doesn't get any easier on me. Anytime they are hurting I can't relax. And being away from them is a nightmare. Sierra means more to me than most people. She's certainly more caring & loving. She's always by my side. When she's not, I'm not myself. I'll be praying that Sherpa stays healthy and that the two of you have long, healthy, full and happy lives together!!? 💙
I am very surprised you did not just stay in the parking lot at the vet, but it seems to make the time just drag on longer. Just seeing him after surgery broke our hearts, Sue cried watching today and yesterday. Our pets are our babies and without them in the house and car it just seems so very weird. So happy the results came back clear. Yay. Now you are both ready to make more memories on more trips. God bless.
