The Steiner Brothers were one of WCW's most popular tag teams. Even after stints in the WWF and in Japan, Rick and Scott Steiner was always welcomed back to WCW with open arms thanks to their incredible popularity. When the nWo became a thing, however, the landscape of WCW and the whole of professional wrestling began to change. In order to keep up with the times, Scott Steiner would leave his brother to eventually become "Big Poppa Pump".
Scott Steiner completely changed everything about who he was when he joined the New World Order. Not only did Scott change his look, but he also changed his character by becoming a much more self-absorbed and brash pro wrestler. Heavily inspired by Superstar Billy Graham, this new Scott Steiner would prove to be quite succesful right from the beginning and eventually, this change of character would also bring Scott to the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
This video looks at Scott Steiner's time in the nWo, focusing mainly on 1998 where WCW tried to squeeze everything they could out of the Scott Steiner vs Rick Steiner feud.

17:30 gotta love a double shirt reveal. It's like when Sting took off a Sting mask to reveal Sting lmao.
But sadly that was the highlight of the feud. The rest of the feud seems like how not to book if you respect your fans 101.

Scott Steiner is definitely one of the greatest of al time in professional wrestling, Rick and Scott were a great team and were tag team champions in every promotion they ever been a part of, when he turn heel in 1998, it was a reinvention with a fresh new start, Scott Steiner became Big Poppa Pump.

Steiner's turn to Big Poppa Pump is one of the best character transformations in wresting. It's almost like the original Scott Steiner no longer exists. This along with HBK, The Rock, and Hollywood Hogan. Stone Cold was also good, but the character didn't get going until Bret turned heel. He is also probably responsible for the Rock's success calling him by that name in a promo that ended up sticking.

The character change was good but I still liked the steiners as a team they were way more over than the big papa pump character by far. Not to mention that in my opinion scott was a WAY better wrestler when he was in that tag team he was so athletic and agile it was amazing to watch him wrestle. After he added the muscle mass to his already heavily muscled frame he just wasn’t the same in the ring that being said Scott Steiner was a spectacle to behold both as part of a tag team and his singles run
