Tears for Fears has some amazing songs. Of course songs like Everybody wants to rule the world and Shout. But other incredible offerings include The Working Hour, I believe, Pale Shelter, Woman in chains, and from their latest album, The tipping point.
This one and Sowing the Seeds of Love are my favorite Tears for Fears songs, but of course they have a bunch of other iconic songs Great feeling bringing me back to the 80s.
Tears For Fears were possibly the best group to come out of the 80's. I saw them live in concert back then and the show was amazing. Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal were a perfect blend of talents that created a signature sound of that era. Their album Songs From The Big Chair was a massive hit and went platinum almost in an instant. As with most musical groups, Curt and Roland grew apart for a long period of time, until they reunited last year, and I saw them again after almost 40 years, and they sounded just as good as they did then. They're doing a 2023 US tour. You should react to more of their songs.
Some Tears for Fears songs that you should check out include the following: Break It Down Again, Closest Thing to Heaven, Ladybird, and Sowing the Seeds of Love.
Think you'd like "Everybody wants to rule the world" by Tears for Fears. Their sound was very popular with people who liked many different types of music. Unique...
My Favorite song by them is Sowing the Seeds of Love!! There are several "change ups" in this song! When you think its going one way it turns and goes another way. A Banger!! 👍🏿
The guy with the Nationals hat knows what up TFF catalog of music is astonishing, I listen every type of music and if you've never heard of them is crazy lol once you hear more songs you'll probably recognize them more and they just put out a new record last year in February!
Just found your Channel and what a great Reaction guys! This Song is more of their "Pop" sound that came later on in the 80s. I discovered Tears for Fears before this when they were more New Wave & their earlier material was more dark with Songs like "Mother's Talk" "Pale Shelter" and "Mad World".
🎶Nice reaction . . . I saw Tears for Fears live a few years back. Even though they were older they performed and sang like it was the 1980s . . . they are some dedicated and talented musicians. looking forward to more of your reactions to them🎶
This the most underrated band of the 80s. That was probably their 7th best song. Try Woman in Chains, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Shout, Mother’s Talk, Seeds of Love, Break It Down Again (especially the first & last one). Fenom knows. Let’s do another one!
Rolsnd (the main singer in this one) and curt were school friends in the city of bath south England.Would love you to do mad world it was covered and that version was used in movie Donnie darko
Truly loving your TFF reactions ! They were my fave band as a kid and I still enjoy them today. Felt like I was the only person still listening to them so I’m glad to find more folks my age who still enjoy them!! My fave artist today is also from the UK, have you listened to Little Simz? She’s a lyrical mastermind with majestuous instrumentation. Her song Introvert is an undeniable masterpiece 💎
You older gentleman might remember the melody was used by Cash Money & Marvelous at the beginning of “Ugly People Be Quiet”. Another great one by Tears For Fears is “Sowing The Seeds”.
I was in my early 20's back in the late 70's and 80's and it was good times, upbeat feel-good music, everybody was dancing, etc. Like the Chic song "Good Times". Even when the economy wasn’t doing well people we upbeat.
Gary Jules did a beautiful cover of TFF’s Mad World in 2001, which went to #1 in England. Other artists like Kanye West have used parts of their songs. They are a highly respected band. From their first album, I’d recommend reactions to Mad World and Pale Shelter. And from their third, Sewing the Seeds and Woman in Chains. After Curt left, Roland continued with TFF and released two fantastic albums on his own. They reunited in 2004 and put out Everybody Loves a Happy Ending. Check out Secret World. In 2021, they released The Tipping Point, which is phenomenal!
This is the shortened version - the Album version has a cool extended solo at the end. PS - the dude in the beginning wasn't Amish - he has a Hasidic Jew
Once upon a time, MTV played music videos. European bands were ahead of the curve & had already begun making videos which led to The Second British Invasion. Loads of synth Pop.
Y’all know this was everything ❤in 1985
Takes me right back to high school! ❤️
My birth year!! And I always loved this one 🥰
This the most underrated band of the 80s. Let’s hear even more!
underrated? you´re kidding. 🤣
My favorite Tears for Fears song is, Woman in Chains. So beautifully sang about a very heavy topic.
Great song and so under rated.
Same! Beautiful track ❤
Spot on! 👏🏻
I was always surprised that they weren't more sampled by later 90s and 2000s acts, I think their grooves are immaculate.
Can only describe the song as epic; majestic in feel.

100%. They sound incredible, Roland and Curt are phenomenal singer/songwriter/musicians and even better people. Love seeing them still kicking ass.
Woman in Chains is fantastic and thoroughly recommended.
They have so many superb grooves and were huge in the UK in that crazy decade.
I have the pleasure of knowing the female vocalist on "woman in chains"
Yolanda adams.
A true lady with a fantastic voice

On the album, this song segues into a short instrumental called Broken.

You older gentleman might remember the melody was used by Cash Money & Marvelous at the beginning of “Ugly People Be Quiet”. Another great one by Tears For Fears is “Sowing The Seeds”.

Uncle Joey on the keyboards!

Have a look at Sowing the Seeds of Love. Very Beatles influenced.
That Curt Smith baseline is sensational.
Check out Shout by them, great song!
As much as i love this song, this song reminds me of all the screaming and yelling in my house at the time while mtv was playing.
New wave era my time their counter part is the band depeche mode and Duran Duran they were the best
Y'all have to explore the best , most legendary of all the 80's groups- R.E.M (their 80's music- not 90's and after)
Reminds me of Donnie Darko.... great movie... director's cut is even better
Sound of the 80’s in England.
Please do Pale Shelter by Tears for Fears
How do you guys NOT KNOW that this is TEARS FOR FEARS??? You said you loved them!
Once upon a time, MTV played music videos. European bands were ahead of the curve & had already begun making videos which led to The Second British Invasion. Loads of synth Pop.
Yall should check out their song.. Sowing the Seeds ... their nod to the Beatles
Please react to their newest
"The Tipping Point"
Fire 🔥
React to Everybody wants to rule the world by them
And also spandau ballet but most are pop
People started using synthesizers in the 70s, then they really got popular in the 80s.
Please review Woman In Chains, Advice For The Young At Heart and the single Tears For Fears released in 2022 called The Tipping Point
?????????? Come on guys!!
They could do no wrong…
I don’t think the guy in the library was Amish - he was an Ashkenazi Jew.
'why is an Amish man in the library' that's an orthodox Jew man sheesh
i hate when reactors comment on the video. it's about the mx
Jewish not Amish
Love the song, hate the video.
