👩⚕️ It is Victoria’s 1st day of her new Travel Nurse assignment in Birmingham, AL. Starting at a new hospital can be a challenge between learning new procedures, figuring out what goes where, and meeting new people. Luckily, so far so good!
🌳 We were finally able to get out and about to explore the city of Birmingham. One of our first stops was Railroad Park located on the outskirts of downtown. Once a rail yard, now turned 900 acres of revitalized green space for the folks of Birmingham to enjoy.
🦃 Also, this is our second holiday season being on the road as RV’ers. Being away from family and friends can be hard but we try make the most of our situation with a small RV Turkey Day meal!
Hi! We are Thomas and Victoria, and we are starting our adventure as full-time RV newbies. We sold our stuff and bought a truck and RV (all within 5 months). We are joined by our Adventure Puppies - Outside Oreo and Backyard Barley - in our Kodiak Ultimate travel trailer. We hope you get some value out of our full-time RV living experience! I am soooooooo glad to have found your channel Thomas and Victoria. Funny story is that our middle daughters name is also Victoria, but she has gone by Tori her entire life because of a NICU Nurse. Tori needed immediate attention after her birth and when the nurse came back to the room to give us an update, she said "Tori" was doing great. So, for 25 years we have called her that, and she still goes by that name today. So never underestimate the positive lifelong impact of what you do on a daily basis with your patients. If no one has said it to you today, "Thank You" for what you do.

Also, my wife is a clinician, and we are on the "other" side of your two's life right now. So, we are looking to retire and hit the road for a majority of the year's going forward. We have talked about Lisa being a "traveler" or even just doing Per Diem work as we wander around the country. Thanks for making a number of video's that focus on the traveling nurse life. That helps us with setting the reality of that. Best of luck to the two of you on this journey, keep enjoying the new places and faces.

@@ProjectRVLivingLost I work in the cardiothoracic ICU. Hope she’s liking TBI one of my instructors worked that unit for a long time she thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope to see y’all around.
We just finished our first month of travel nursing in Florida. We ate currently looking for a truck and travel trailer. Surely I can get both for less than 3 grand a month which is what the hotel is costing us. Plz keep vids coming they def inspiring me!!
Definitely can work out a Truck and travel trailer for between $1000-$2000 a month. Good luck with everything down in FL!

Hi! I see that you started this assignment (or at least posted this video 4 mos ago). How was this assignment? Burn trauma ICU right? What charting system was it? And I totally agree, Meditech is the pits!! I couldn’t make out if you were staying that this is what they used. Anyway, totally enjoyed this video. I too am a travel nurse. I travel in a tiny house with my family.
We love tiny houses! We got to tour one when we were in Austin. I enjoyed my time in the trauma burn ICU, even though burns aren’t really my thing. The hospital was good, and the people were nice. They use cerner for charting.
