I've liked this dial a lot ever since it was introduced. The 2 issues I have with the watch are it's relatively large size and a price that's well above my comfort zone. Unfortunately all the exquisite dials GS produces are in large watches unless I've missed something
Not sure what this offers that SBGA413 Cherry Blossom does not do better at 2/3rds or less the street price. Particularly when you take into account the reported and surveyed accuracy issues with this new movement.
The two should not be compared since addresses purists (SLGH005) and techies (SLGA009) I own the 1st and never would trade it for the spring drive movement but also can understand why somebody would have the opposite view. Good to know that also the SLGH005 dial is more pronounced/textured ... which personally I prefer If you want a more tactile ticking experience buy the 1st/hi-beat movement otherwise get a casio :))
Probably my favourite piece for everyday watch. Definitely aspirational, there is little not to love.
Own it. For me, this is 1 and done
This one is very nice. Another option is the sbge285, a real knock out!

Sbga413/415 too big for you?
@@sdiver68 Isn't it the same size? Or am I missing somerhing.
@@ericgoilav Not in weight, which helps tremendously in wearability
Go into a boutique and try it. I have it and I believe it goes nicely on almost every wrist because of the case form and the bezel
Cheaper n better than any Datejust
I think also better looking! Thanks for the comment!

I went into a boutique and tried both models. I bought/decided for the white birch when seeing these two models in person.
Lovely.
They really need to work on their bracelets. At this price point it's just not acceptable. It would also be nicer to see options at 38mm.
👍👍👍 Nice Watch 👍👍👍
The Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Watch, White Birch Dial SLGA009 is much better than that watch dude. More accurate and more tech.
