- I Torture Test TEMU Tools
I bought a pallet of TEMU power tools and put some of them to the test. We take the tools to some extremes with some fun and wild tests.

Let's get a Temu vs Harbor Freight vs Amazon cheapest showdown!
harbor freight would destroy
@@spedracer55I kind of agree. Maybe @JohnMaleckiUnscrewed can answer the age old question once and for all lol
Harbor Freight tools are amazing the baruer and hercules are just as good as dewalt and milwaukee
Amazon is gonna be the same as temu right. Drop shipped garbage but it's gotta be better than Ryobi.
Great mixture of the seriousness and data analysis from Project Farm and the Torque Test Channel and the carefree TylerTube testing!
You should for real build him a wooden truck bed, that would be badass!! Would love to see that!
+1
I second this!!!!
Wooden truck bed!
Use me as the button to persuade Malecki to buy Sam a new car!!
Nah ford rangers are the best they are cheap but bullet proof
Use mee, use My butooon, use me, push Le butoon, My m8..
Press me button hole@@AnanusBananus
It has to be used car return pallet parts you can use to make a vehicle.
@@jaspereves6661lol next joke
Great mixture of Serious Tool Testing and 8th Grade Boys - Hormone Infused adolescents playing with dad's tools in ways no one ever contemplated. I Love It. Hilarious!
My favorite was just John riding along on the back of his truck at 30mph to throw a drill. Can't believe nobody commented on that!
@@kurtlarson2061 Yep, 100% something my brother and I would have done at 16 and our parents would have been horrified to find out about.
Far too much of the latter for me. None of it is funny.
It’s funny how delighted John gets trying to destroy/torture these tools. Great job.
Well, he never grew up ya know.
7 to H. The best line ever
I once dropped my Makita impact on a 50mm thick pressed concrete slab and it broke the slab, as for the driver, there was just some scuffing/scratching on one of the corners of the battery.
I'm glad they didn't have a bigger torque wrench on those ranger wheel because the factory wheel torque spec is 100 ft lbs and they would have just kept going more hahahaha.
Yep he's definitely gonna need to replace a couple of those studs and lug nuts after them getting stretched a few times 😅😢
I thought the same thing when he said he'll just max out the torque wrench 😂
As another large man, ladder limits are real. I have been told more than once that "that ladder is fine." That ladder is often not fine. Much like lawn chairs.
I feel this..
Love seeing your excitement as the impact continued to outperform your expectations!
If squirrelly was a thing 7:04 lol, love your channel John. You also have a great crew 🤌🏼👌🏼👍🏼
As Adam Savage said, when you buy a tool the first time... get the cheapest you can... if you use it enough or break it... buy a better one... and only buy a VERY good/expensive one for the ones you USE enough to justify it.
Riding along at 30mph on the back of the truck to throw the impact! 😂😂😂. That footage was amazingly satisfying to watch
Torque channel has left threading bolts to a pressure device and they use that data to determine the torque.
Yes to the wooden truck bed build! That would probably look so cool
This channel is just pure JM Squirrelliness and Stupidity and I am definitely here for it.
now you need to do a test where "Does pushing down make a difference in speed when the screw is already in the wood"
To test torque? Just trying to clarify
Ford F ing Ranger!
My boss uses nothing but DeWalt, and almost 2 years ago he had a horrible house fire. Several of our DeWalt tools for melted pretty bad and wet from the fire hose but still run great.
That sucks what caused the fire. The batteries?
This must be the video with the most John Malecki giggles in it, ever 😆
Contagious enthusiasm John!😆
I've got the same china driver but grey/black with 1/2 inch square drive and 1/4 inch hex in the centre for £37 (I splashed an extra £5 for the higher Ah battery pair). The thing is amazing, takes huge punishment and stunningly useful. I lent it to my landlord who bolted together a steel barn for his 3 JCBs with it. He was sad to give it back. For the price I am pleased with how good this device is. I use Festool and such for the exactness, design and perfection but for bashing stuff together and smashing it apart, this china tool does the job remarkably well. (I always wonder when it is going to explode into kibbles though...)
lOVE TORTURE TESTS ON ELECTRONICS. oops sorry i hit the caps lock button lol
14:41 I found a Ryobi that fell out of a truck in the middle of the street one time and it was perfectly fine.
I can’t fault Ryobi for being hardier than people expect. My wife dropped my impact driver into paint 2 years ago, and that thing still works perfectly.
When you're asking the comment section whether you are testing something right or wrong after you've done the testing, you're doing something wrong.
That impact driver did a lot better in the drop test than a 12v Milwaukee impact I had that felt off a 6’ ladder and hit a tile floor, then cracked in half
How about making some shop shades with reader lenses so those of us that can't see for crap without glasses could buy some!
I haven't laughed that hard in quite awhile!! thanks John for the laughs!!
Fun funny stuff. Like your builds also. Keep the content coming. I enjoy watching. Thanks.
you should test it with the javi battery vs the makita battery. Batteries can make a pretty big difference
One thing I'd suggest is giving the model number on them so we can pick it up lol.
I like this idea for a separate channel and subscribed
Would love to see you compare these 10-in-1 / 15-in-1 type tools with the actual separate tools.
YES - we need more multi-tool reviews, and comparisons with standalone tools is a must
Yes. Build a wooden truck bed. That would be awesome.
Good stuff, great testing!
This more frequent posting is badass
i use a 18v impact hyper tough brand to do 120 ft lb on all our lugs. its been the best little impact driver we've used, it was dirt cheap cause someone stopped in one day with 2 hyper tough drills an the impact with 2 batterys an a quick charger for 25 bux so we did it to help them out thinking they would be junk but thats been 5+ years ago an they are all still working strong an used daily.
Hyper tough are surprisingly good
Sounds like you bought some stolen tools. 🤦🏻♂️
@@enderz0r nah we knew who he was, he gets in a hard spot from time to time an he usually brings stuff around asking if he can pawn it to us so he can come back later an get it back an we always do it to help him out cause he almost always comes back an gets the stuff or if he isnt able he lets us know to keep it an we only mkae him pay way we gave him but that day he didnt need much an didnt want to come back to get them so he offered to sell them all for 25 bux, probably got him something to drink but hes a good guy an dont bother anyone.
@@ChristopherOBrienPSU so far the ones ive used have been, got alittle electric screw driver i use alot an its battery has died on it an its a internal battery but im going to try to swap it out or make it work with a 18650 cause it was a done good an it lasted for yrs b4 the battery finally gave out but it hink it was partly my fault cause i lost the charger an used one i found that was close but it needed weird voltage so i got close but not what it really needed.
Fancy flat epoxy wooden bed ranger. I'm here for it.
I Love Your Videos Man ❤
According to the 50 temu Super Bowl commercials, we’ve been saying temu wrong
Shop like a millionaire
You guys may have the best jobs ever.
As a professional listener, He did not say go
I thought I said it but you’re the professional. I trust you!
After this you should team up with donut at least to help out that Ranger lol
That would be such a cool collab
My brother has a Bauer impact driver. He's used it multiple times to take lug nuts off before he got a regular impact.
Also, most cars lug nuts are torqued to around 80 lb/ft. Larger trucks will be more of course.
I would say 75 to 120 for most passenger vehicles and light trucks. With your bigger cars starting around 100. Then big vans and trucks around 100-150. Just wanted to add some more depth 😅
Never seen John have so much fun...
Those ranger wheel studs 😵💫
Lets go man, you got me into woodworking!
nice video. i would like to see some of the Temu layout stuff put up against the Woodpeckers to see how close they are
I'm all for that ranger. I have a 92 that I'm fixing as a gift for a buddy. His dad had the truck and passed away 3 years ago. Truck was parked and forgotten about until his mom passed 4 months ago.
Most newer cars at 85 ft/lb and most older cars and light trucks are 100ft/lb and 3/4 ton and 1 ton are 120ft/lb. Big trip axle trucks are 300+
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS build him a wooden truck bed!! Love that idea
I bought one of those temu impact drivers and it was able to break lose the motor mounts on a 2013 chevy cruze
Just so y’all know, it’s easier to set or break torque pushing vs pulling. Use your body weight to push the tool down vs trying to pull the tool towards you.
Fo Sure! Also much safer.
The little Javin that could!
Always push the torwue wrench down when tightening a wheel. Never pull it toward your face. A coworker a couple decades ago lost his front teeth because he didnt take that advice.
Now this is good stuff I needed this today thank you. You did the tests AvE doesn’t always lol
Regarding the Javan 20 volt impact driver because I need a disposable (low-cost and can be broken or stolen and I won't feel bad)
Would you please tell me exactly which model that was so that I may order one? It seems perfect for my needs
Thank you very much
Erin
Yes truck bed build.
truck giveaway 🤣 itd be fine in my state 😅😂
That ali g clip 🤣 i need to watch it again now
In the beginning, you should have done flashback footage of the previous video doing the test when you unboxed the tools
you should use the mini scuba tank from the 4 wheeler vid and give to evan next snowmoblie trip😭
I don't think those lugnuts were actually torquing down with all that corrosion, you probably didn't have good surface contact.
Do the shop shades come in prescription?
Cross threaded those studs 😂
That truck for sure needs a wood bed and rails!
I'll be over to grab the ranger a day you choose lol
Paddle bits go through faster if u rotate with the drill . That sead if u are just blowing threw meny holes say for electrical wire. If u know u know . P.s. my brother got a impact online sorry i dont know brand it came with 3 different size sockets for 50$ he says it will take off rusted lugs ive seen it works really good 💪🏽.ive seen a Dewalt drill hit the ground from a less hight and explode so😅.
The argument was "he did not say go" NOT "I didn't hear him say go" stop moving the goal post John :)
Respect the game! - Kevin Malone!
Loving the Steelers artwork
Bro that truck would change my life lol
“I mean I drive an electric truck” 😂😂 at least you’re being honest with yourself.
This guy has to be the coolest dude to work for.
I want to see if the Javin performs better with the mikita battery.
watch out project farm, there's a new scientific test team on the scene
what is this word you use.... "scientific"....
Gimme that ranger 😂
I question the lug nut test cuz car lug nuts should be torqued to 80ft/lb and Sam said a typical lug nut should be torqued to 120ft/lbs which would most likely snap the bolt.
What about subscribers from Brazil? Will you guys ship Sam's truck to Brazil??? Heheheh
Just kidding!!! Funniest tool video ever!!
Great content thanks for sharing
U should do these test more often
Lol. 16:19 Laurel and Hardy - John Malecki edition. 😄
I think he got that truck off Temu too lmao 🤣
Ayeee free truck!
The old DeWalt NiMH 18V impact drivers were about on par with the Temu mini one, or maybe even a little weaker. If I remember correctly when I tested them it would stop around 35-40 ft-lbs. I also had a 1/2 inch impact and it could barely pull off a 100-ft-lb lug nut. I had to add torque to the nuts after putting them on with that because it was too weak. People forget how bad the old tools were. Now the cheapo import stuff outperforms that old prosumer stuff from 20 years ago.
Hey John, if you bought them from Lowes, you could take it back after you through it off of the ladder onto the parking lot or out of the back of the truck. Looks like the stuff I got in my pallet purchase.
Woohoo MORE John Amp it up
I do love tool racing, and the various testing that's a thing nowadays. I do want to make a point, I do woodworking and work on cars. The car side of this is never mentioned. Those impacts, lets be real even a shitty one is good enough for wood mostly. Now cars is where everything is different. I have a rigid brushless subcompact now, gamechanger for the cars. My suuuuper old ryobi impact that came with the cheap set did me well for wood for years. Now the good one im using that sucker on cars, and its impressive. Just saying I think with how you have done ratings with things like squirrels, I think could be applied here. Like a straight trash, doesnt work. Then a good enough to work for wood. Then works well for wood. Then good enough for car level. Just one of those things I love videos like these, but I do know those cheapo tools would actually work very well for alot of people I know. Just not me or you lol.
Lol thats what I get for commenting before the video is over. Old impacts just couldnt do lugnuts, modern ones do have a shot. I do think your torque wrench was off, but still. More real test would be go to a lug you havnt loosened and torqued, lets be real shops and us normal people all have big boy impacts for lugs now. But good tests
the joy in playing with tools :3 I've been trying to find a ranger for the wife, think it'll make it to Nevada?
Did you guys just clip in Ali G??? Haha. Didn’t think you’d know who he was. Fair play.
Any other mechanics cringing at the young bloke reefing up on the torque wrench instead of leaning down on it? Just me? lol
The cheap torque wrench gets me more lol
Once you go digital you don't go back
I'm just outside of philly. Ill take the truck, delivered please😂😂😂
Drives me nuts
I love that idea…..Build a wooden truck bed. I want to see that Video. but make it a Steeler bed, or do an A.I. truck bed. Or even a Slab, Epoxy truck bed. Probably get 10 million views .
No rust seizing the bolts on haha
My Porter Cable 18v wont take off lug nuts...damn I need to upgrade to Javin tools 😂
Honestly for the price, I cant find any faults with these tools. They usually come with a battery and charger too, so for anyone who's not able to drop the dosh for quality tools, or isn't sure if they'll be using them enough to be worth the cost. These are a great alternative.
Except quality standards and toxic material xd good luck with that
I have the Ryobi p239 with the quarter inch to 3/8 in drive adapter it's removed lug nuts at 120 ft lb before I'm not going to say it was happy but it did do it
Lmao how long did that take to break it loose?
@@I.no.ah.guy57 I've never thought to time it if I rotate my parents tires I'll time how long it takes to break them loose and leave the comment
@@icebear6393 lol it's not a big deal, I was just looking for a rough estimate, not exact. I'm just saying that it probably took a second with a 1/4in drive
@@I.no.ah.guy57 it took between 6 and 8 seconds.
I was bored and had nothing better to do probably still not good for it I'm just impressed it does it at all.
@@icebear6393 hahaha yeah that's a little longer than you want, but 100 ft lbs would probably be a good limit to stay under for that gun with that size shank (1/4in). Is this a full size truck or SUV you're taking the lugs off of? 120 is a little much for a passenger vehicle or light truck, so I'm jw
Bosch professional torture test next please!
Rust free wooden truck bed PLEASE!!! That’d be sweet. Maybe some sorta epoxy tool box / misc parts carrier?!? C’mon youse guys!! Love the videos
Definitely build him a hardwood truck bed that would be amazing
