My review of "All the rivers": maaretta.blog/...
In this video I review the family saga novel "Our Weddings" by acclaimed Iranian-Israeli author Dorit Rabinyan.
This seems very interesting. What you said reminds me of marriage today. People have these expectations and things don’t pan out the way we thought. Thank you for sharing.
It is interesting! I think Ms. Rabinyan wanted to explore how people view marriage today and what happens when reality collides with dreams. I found it quiet a fascinating theme. Thank you for watching!
The way you read that section, seemed like a bedtime story and I loved it! Also, I love your accent! New sub
Thank you! I like doing readings, so happy you enjoyed :-) And my accent is probably a mixture of Finnish with Northern state American :-) (that's my heritage).
Thank you so much! I do book reviews and recs and vlogs om movies, hope you'll enjoy!
Such a great review hun
Thank you so much!
I been wanting to read All the Rivers for a while. Now I need to ad this to my list as well :) Great review :)
"All the rivers" is IMO one of the best post-2012 literary releases and I think it has the makings of a modern classics, so I recommend :-) I recommend reading "All the rivers" first and then reading "Our weddings". I myself am hoping to read her debut soon :-D Thank you!
Sounds like an interesting novel. Thanks for sharing.
It's is very unusual :-) And Thank you! Happy to spread the word :-)
Always love hearing your reviews of these books. Also, I didn't know you were from Sweden!
Thank you! I live in Sweden, but see myself as more American/Sweden Finn (ie. Finnish speaking minority in Sweden). :-)
Great review.
Thank you!
Something I wouldn't read but thanks for the review
Not a fan of family sagas? :-D Thanks for watching
Never heard of Dorit Rabinyan before, I'd love to read "All the Rivers"...As an immigrant I can relate to using the wrong words or pronouncing them wrong all the time lol. Sounds like a very interesting story...Love your review:)
Thank you! "All the rivers" is really good and I think Ms. Rabinyan is one of the most amazing new voices in the book world :-) I hear you, I still to this day mispronounce words and forget them, it's a constant battle.
"Our weddings" is interesting, I found it rewarding to read! Thank you so much for commenting!
fun and intresting review
Thank you :-)
I have never heard of this author. This sounds very interesting. I may have to check out her other books since you said this one was kind of over written at parts. Thanks for sharing
Kiera Is Sweet "All the rivers" is by the same author and it's a masterpiece :-) thanks for watching!
Have I told you that you remind me of Kim from our channel? Your personality and enthusiasm are so similar to one another! As for your review, this book seems to have a really intriguing story that is like The Lover, only I seem more intrigued to read Our Weddings over The Lover. This one seems rich like a cheesecake, but it sounds like the experience would be a rewarding one after getting through it. Thank you for sharing! -Josh
Thank you, that's a kind thing to say!
This book is very much a cheesecake: rich, but rewarding. Ms. Rabinyan is in my opinion one of the most interesting emerging authors; she has a unique perspective with being both Persian and Jewish, and her books tackle a lot of taboo subjects, but she does it with such elegance. I think you'd get a lot out of her work! Thank you for watching!
Really interesting review. Subbed :)
Thank you so much!
This book seems pretty interesting!
It's tackles a lot of important but uncommonly depicted topics :-) Recommend :-D
