    "Jack of all trades but Master of none"
    That's exactly what a mid-range smartphone supposed to be. If your midrange phone is a master of something, then there is probably a trade off in something else.
    For most moderate users who does not do gaming, this phone will be more than fine.

    4:08 The Dimensity 7200 "Pro" is different from other Dimensity 7200 chips, since this is co-engineered by Nothing and Mediatek (a custom chip), where they made it to be a really optimized chip. It even has this feature called "Smart Clean" which does deep cleaning to your phone so it always feels new as it gets older (since the software on phones gets heavier over time, and therefore runs slower).
    They chose this over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 & the Snapdragon 782G because Nothing said the 7s Gen 2 is made with Samsung and they usually have heating & power draw issues, while the 782G is a 6nm processor so it's worse than the 4nm in the Dimensity 7200 Pro (lower number of nm is better). So that means the Phone (2a) is the only phone that has this chip. This was also manufactured by TSMC (not Samsung). Hope that makes sense.

    • @sunny123k
      @sunny123k 10 месяцев назад +1

      I'm confused between Poco X5 Pro and Poco X6. Which is better between Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2?

    • @baryonyx_
      @baryonyx_ 10 месяцев назад

      @@sunny123k Good question. When it comes to benchmarks the 778G has 521,000 while the 7s Gen 2 has 576,890 so the 7s Gen 2 wins in numbers, however you shouldn't always belive these numbers as their are also other things to consider, such as the user experience and how optimzed the software is.

    • @sunny123k
      @sunny123k 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@baryonyx_ But, you mentioned about 7s Gen 2 having heating issues as it's made by Samsung. But, the 778G is made by TSMC. But, it's 6nm while the 7s Gen 2 is 4nm. Which one would you pick? I don't want throttling issues or lags.

    • @baryonyx_
      @baryonyx_ 10 месяцев назад

      @@sunny123k I would say the 6nm 778G would be a better choice, though the 4nm does (slightly) perform better, there is however a big trade off. The 778G does have a 6nm but it offers less heat and better battery life (long lifespan for the battery). Also having better performance but having heating iasues is not really great for everyday use. Though it's better to ask someone who's really an expert when it comes to chips. Hope that helps. 👍

    im already a nothing phone 1 user. i will tell you my honest review. i love this phone but it will take time to get proper functions overall. im amaze with the month to month updates and bug fixers but next time i will go with this brand only when my two wish are completely fulfilled. first they should stop this back glass it is better they switch it like a normal phones with back panels secondly i want them to fix bugs properly instead of focusing on new new features. lastly the bonus advice never be hurry to buy Nothing phones. they hike the price at the beginning and just after 2 month the price will surprise you so patiently wait for 2 month then go for it. because i have seen this with nothing phone 1 and phone 2 and definitely it will happen with phone 2a.

    Many of you will say that I should've gone with the combo offer where 65w CMF GaN Charger was available at 2000.
    But I've never paid for them before😅 & that habit alone was enough to skip that offer plus I paid INR21500 for 128gb variant & going above that was a big no for this config as I'll have to shell money on wireless earphones too😢
    I've got 27w Xiaomi Sonic Charge laying around. If that works then fine otherwise will take a GaN Charger.

    I was confused between this and the Moto g84 since I used 3 Motorolas till date (currently g60 since 2021). I just ordered the base variant of the 2a today and I'm wondering whether I'd need to cancel and go for the higher variants considering lack of expandable memory or RAM limitations.
    Edit: I received the 2a within 24 hours of ordering it. So far it has been smooth after an update and the cameras have been decent as well. The plastic back seems cheap and delicate so a back cover is necessary. Also, the fingerprint sensor doesn't work if your hands are wet like after doing the dishes or having a bath. Need to see if this improves over time.

    The plastic back doesn't seem a big trade off at this price, especially when people with budget phones rarely carry them caseless. But with the quality of the 2a, im excited to see what would be in store when the phone 3 launches.

      @@2sar-f1p I'll say software is the best part of this phone but it has bugs too, I shifted from Redmi K20 pro, a performance beast, this doesn't even come closer to that. Camera has issues, battery is good, the charging speeds are good but there are some software issues , Design is awesome, glyphs I love them. I bought the phone for software experience, design, glyphs, timely updates, I knew I had to compromise with performance, good for day to day usage but it's a no for gaming. Please compare with the new 2a+ launching soon.

    I'm buying my first Nothing Phone 2a Ultimate soon because I really feel secure by the look and feel of it. I think I can trust this phone just like I trusted my iPhone XS Max for almost 6 years. The way it was conceptualized by its CEO and his partner engineers and designers is pleasing to me.
