Sending well wishes to all those embarking on their journey into the algorithm. While it's undoubtedly a challenging endeavor, it's one that I personally find great joy in pursuing. My advice would be to create content that resonates with your own passions, giving it your utmost effort, and relying on the possibility that others will connect with your enthusiasm as well.
Hi..i am dealing with an huge problem few days ago i was getting views in millions on every single short but than all of sudden all of my views died and now i am getting only 50 60 views per short and its not like my shorts are bad all of this shorts has around (75% avd and 80 percent chose to view percentage) but still youtube is not recommending my shorts...so whats wrong
Your topic... When you were getting millions of views, the IPL was still going and when the IPL ended, your views ended. What you should do is change your content a little bit, instead of IPL make shorts about Football cuz it's more relevant and worldwide compared to IPL which only indians watch and maybe also make those shorts in english cuz mostly people outside of India are gonna watch those football shorts. Hope this helps

Thanks for this info! It’s going to help a lot. I like your production quality. I’m using shorts to build up my subscriber base since I’m just starting out. I find the reach is better than starting with actual videos. I was able to gain 6 subscribers from ~220 views, so seeing the graph at the end with 16.9 average subscribers for 10k views was nice to see. Not sure if it’s luck or not, but I’m hopeful!
Thanks for this! I'm in a more boring niche, so figuring out how to stand out has been hard for me to think through, this helps me take the 30,000 ft view of it
Thanks for the input! As a small creator on youtube for fun I have looked at these analytics and even though Paddy findings showed interesting results, it is hard to figure out how YT Algorithm works. I had a video with 60% that picked up traction to 100k while others with only 20% swipe away got stuck at 1 or 2k. If we think about Academia research, we need to randomly select all shorts in the pool and not only those with good potential in the respective niche. If he didn't use any research methodology to do that, the samples might be biased and compromised and may skew different results. He's done an amazing job but this code is hard to crack.
The best stat in this is actually that it takes 10k views for about 20 subscribers.. So if you need 1000 subs you’ll need an average of 500,000 channel views
So average % viewed is NOT as valued as average view duration? Most of my shorts get average % of 90+, while I have them trimmed down to the highlights, around 10-20 seconds (gameplay clips). The takeaway from your video is: don't make shorts very short, make very engaging shorts close to the full minute duration. This is the first place I've heard this advice.
yes I can’t give any solid advice but I took that from this video and applied it in 2 shorts I just posted recently. My most recent short has 75% viewed and a 43sec view duration which I believe is really decent
@@smoose1 by 75% viewed: are you referring to the "choose to view Vs swipe away" OR "average view %" stat? Many of my shorts say between 90-100+% average views, one of em recently actually said "930% average viewed %" = these seems VERY confusing?🤔
I have watched a TON of videos in the last couple of days learning about RUclips Shorts, and this is BY FAR the most educational one I have found. Thanks for taking the time to put this together, I really appreciate it! 🤝🏻
Thanks for sharing this :) I just started making content i love to share. And still need to figure out how to get views..2 shorts have more than 1k but my last one only 44 XD
Very valuable information. I hope everyone will reach their goals here. I just recently started my channel and will keep pushing content for atleast 6 months to see how it goes!
I disagree with this. Based on my personal experience I can see that the algo is pushing content onto me that it selected that I make a point of skipping and yet it keeps sending me not only the same type of content but even the videos that I specifically asked it to not show me. The truth is, nobody understands the RUclips algo and if someone says they do, I can find data that will debunk it. Now when it comes to Paddy Galloway, he himself has never and would never work with small channels because he knows, it's an uphill battle. Pretty much anybody with an analytical mind can pull off what he did with huge channels that have a much greater margin of error and can afford to experiment because they make RUclips so much money that it will continue to push their content anyway. So far, there has been nobody who could prove that they could grow a channel super fast starting from scratch and those that tried, failed. RUclips is full of examples of creators who despite being successful now failed to replicate their own success on other channels without leveraging their existing connections, links, name, etc...

Yep
me too
keep grinding guys - we ll get there
Thanks for this! I'm in a more boring niche, so figuring out how to stand out has been hard for me to think through, this helps me take the 30,000 ft view of it
Wishing new youtubers luck!
I just hit 100 subs pround of myself but getting to 1000 seems impossible want to get there before next summer
Thanks, I needed this!
If you're reading this, You are going to do amazing with your channel, And never never Give up
Great tips man, thank you so much for your guidance 🙂 Been working really well for me
To the person who is reading this, don't give
up on your RUclips channel. Keep going it's
going to get better.
Bro I’ve gone from thousands of views to like 5
New RUclipsrs keep at it , you will get there
So average % viewed is NOT as valued as average view duration?
@@XGN 75% chose to view and 25% swiped away. it’s been changing between 70-80%. this is a good sign for a video just posted yesterday
@@smoose1 which niche are your YT shorts? 🤔
Every time I learn something new about this business, I feel illuminated and courage to hold on to it til the very end.
Thanks Marcus..
To the person reading this… don’t give up, keep uploading, we got this! 💪🏻
2:28 bro angered 2 billion people at once💀
I have watched a TON of videos in the last couple of days learning about RUclips Shorts, and this is BY FAR the most educational one I have found.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together, I really appreciate it! 🤝🏻
This is great stuff thank you Marcus. I dont do shorts as much as I should, so now I will.
It’s very good lesson, I’m new on RUclips. Hope I can make it 🙏🏼
Keep working 💪💪
Thanks for sharing this :) I just started making content i love to share. And still need to figure out how to get views..2 shorts have more than 1k but my last one only 44 XD
Very valuable information. I hope everyone will reach their goals here. I just recently started my channel and will keep pushing content for atleast 6 months to see how it goes!
If everyone that has commented subscribes to everyone else then who needs to study 😂
thanks for the help
Shorts have only been out for about 3 years. Who are the creators who had success and could t replicate it?

Very useful video, thanks for explaining these things in details ❤
